Hi,
I have upgrade my HTC Magic Android 1.5 version to Android 2.2 .
I have seen new features like Live Wallpapers, it's not working in my phone.
i have tired the Market themes it's not there,
is there any place???
please help me.
If you're using cyanogenmod 6, live wallpapers are not supported for the magic because the phone doesn't have enough graphic processing power. I have tried using live wallpapers on the mytouch in the past and frankly, it's just too choppy and not worth the effort. Give up the notion of using LWPs on the magic. It will never work. If you can't live without LWPs, buy a new phone.
Ummmmm nevermind. Sorry to the open for my original post
@chrisgto4 Were you abused by live wallpapers as a child? The way that you responded shows a lot about your character, and not in a good way. May I suggest you seek some other outlet for your anger, rather than unloading it on some innocent bystander?
Srry. Post changed

Did u really double post this in the SAME section???? No one really knows the answer to your stupid question. THE UPDATE JUST CAME OUT U IDIOT!!!!!! We dont know what it does and doesn't have yet. How did one of the first updates sent out end up going to a complete tard. I hope there is no lwp just so u will shoot yourself.
Btw its 4am here. I just got the update. Followed by a text from tnobile that says....."no ****ing live wallpapers...quit asking" ....but i found a way to make it work. This is so awesome. I did a live wallpaper of me skull ****ing your mom...when i double tap the screen it switches to your sister. I wish there was a way to add sound cuz it shows them gagging...but i need sound.
Point is if your gonna waste space in here atleast make it somewhat fun to read.

I'm guessing you also like to hurl abuse at someone when they ask you a question to make yourself feel big.
As I said, it shows a lot about someone's character. I'd also imagine that anyone who will say that to someone online is exactly the kind of person who would never dare say that to someone face to face.

I didn't say anything pal. I just laughed. I'm not no internet thug. If I have a problem with someone then they'll no when I see them. You should mind your business. If I feel like laughing at a comment that someone else made then what is that to you? Are you the person I'm laughing at? You have a South Park character as your icon and your talking about me. What does that say about your so called innocent character?

LWPs work fine on my rogers magic(32A) running cyan 6 stable
not sure how the MT3Gs (32B) handle LWP's, i would imagine they would be slow due to lack or ram....

Repetitively tapping on Android version in Settings->About tablet brings up what I think is an 'updated' version of an easter egg. I think before it said, "BUZZZZZ" - but who knows.. maybe it might be news to someone.
Well, I though I was being trolled, but it actually does something lol. Mine says Rezzzzz. Know of any other easter eggs? I've never been into 'collecting' them, even with all the video games I used to play. I think I remember seeing Koush say something about tapping something in ROM Manager like 100 times and something would happen, but I didn't really pay attention. But yea, if there are any other easter eggs I would love to know about them!
*EDIT* Mine won't do it again, is it just a one time thing? That would seem to follow suit with the whole easter egg motif I do believe, but could be wrong. Also, if there are others and are device specific, I have a DX, D2, D1, and DInc along with my Xoom. Might hafta search around tomorrow morning. Or just go around tapping the sh*t out things....

Not sure if you guys realize this.
When you go setting---->about tablet and then keep tapping on the android version text, you will get a cute android bee buzzing.
Useless but just thought you guys should know.

I hate to be the wet blanket here but that's been posted about 3 times already when 3.0 came out and again when 3.1 came out
similar thing happens on GB (Gingerbread http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=gingerbread+easter+egg) with a zombie fest thing... (i have no idea why - at least the bee makes sense)

This is off topic, but I couldn't help but share. Our little Android's have a little secret they're hiding. I've flashed multiple ROMs and this trick still works. It's nothing much, but interesting none the less.
Press your menu key>settings>about phone
Now find 'android version' and click it repetitively and quickly. I'll just let you guys figure out the secret.

Pretty sure it's a Jelly Bean easter egg, not just 4.2. Also, Cyanogen modded the easter egg in CM10 to be little cyanogen guys too.
You can get some pretty nice artwork on Decks Reloaded when you do the Easter Egg
This has been in there since gb.

Dear all,
First of all, sorry if I do some gramatical errors when I write in english ... English isn't my default language
After have used 3 iPhones (3GS, 4 & 4S), I've decided to left the Apple's smartphone. Reason? Reason is very simple, after doing the update to iOS 6.1.2, my wifi button is became greyed and still greyed I try to discuss with Apple to swap my iPhone but no change ... In Belgium, the warranty for Apple is ONE year and following european regulations, the warranty should be at least 2 years!!!
So I decide to change the rule and break the wall ... After a benchmark of the market (S3, S3 4G, (future) S4, HTC One, Z, etc.) I choose the S3 4G.
Ok, no problem to change the world when using natively Google ... Stop the iPhone, put the SIM into the S3 4G GT-I9305 and let's go.
After the first period of excitement a bug appears ... some time the S3 don't ring when incoming call came ...
First part of the solution, change the SIM to a newest. Conclusion: better signal from the Proximus network (4G).
After 2-3 weeks using the native Samsung Android version (4.1.2), I investigate to flash my S3.
So, because I'm using a Mac, Odin is not a good idea.
Based on this forum, I decide to follow the steps below:
1) Backup IMEI through a Windows PC
2) Download directly from Cyanogemod site: Clockwork Mod Recovery, Heimdall, CM 10.1 and Google Apps
3) Upload to the SDCard of my S3 the CM 10.1 and Google Apps zip files
4) Using Heimdall, I flashed veeeeery quickly CWM without problem
5) Reboot and go to CWM menu to wipe and install CM and Google
So, as from past saturday my S3 is working on CM 10.1 Android 4.2.2.
First result: The fluidity and the daily confort is better with CM than native Samsung firmware.
Just a "bug" ... incoming calls make no sound by vibrations yes ... following this forum, I've maybe a problem with my MP3 ringtone. So, I'm using a native ringtone and waiting for a non ringing incoming call
A great thanks to Cyanogenmod and XDA to provide a very profesional experience based on native Android.
Kind regards,
Andr3.be

But let's not derail the thread.

Oh yeah. I totally agree on this. Well, people wouldn't mind if those "how do I do this, that or the other" are asked on the Q&A forum or in the specific thread. But on General forum? Oh gosh! That is just ridiculous.

Nice experience
I also just bought my S3, replace my iPhone 4. But you know what, after 2 weeks i enjoy the stock rom from Samsung, i already root my phone and flashed carbonrom into it
It's totally new experience for me to costumising android phone. But then i searching in this forum, read a complete 'walk through', cross my fingers, and thanks god, i did it with no problems.
Thanks to xda n google
For me, i can't be lazy to search and to read on the Internet if i want to use and costumising my android phone

Well, this is my first Android mobile too. And I came from a couple iPhone experiences and Symbian N8.
I totally discovered a new world here on Xda. With iPhone I became a lazy user taking and standard apps and there isn't much to customize...
Symbian scene is half dead (still a pity btw) so Android was the better option for those who want some challenge and improvement of the device.
Pity I'm just a beginner but since I started reading this forum I learnt so many things :fingers-crossed:
I remember being impressed with IOS initially, now it drives me mad, not even being able to change your keyboard or properly interact with the filesystem, it's nice to be free! I'm loving CrDroid at the moment, so much to play with.
