Hi every one
After several trails of trying to disable the large start menu in roms that do not have this option in the Settings > personal or system, I found some how a slight solution.
1- You need any registry editor, some cooked roms include this application, but if you need one, you can get it from here
2- Open registry editor then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu
Open the key ( Enable ) and change the Value data from (1) to (0).
OK then soft Reset.

Hi, sorry for my laziness
Ok, for other large menus, really I don't have any Idea, but still you may try this thing...
download the large start menu cab from here , install it , then go to settings , you will find it there , just open it and disable , then soft reset
Waiting for feed back because I removed the rom with the large menus

Hello expert,
on my Touch Diamond (Orig. O2 ROM 1.93) I have the following reproducible phenomenon, why I would like to please you for assistance. Can someone please check, if this is a general issue or somethin on my phone ? Or explain me, what's goin' on ?
o Start Pocket Internet Explorer and visit f.e. www.google.com
o Longclick on f.e. the Googlelogo or any another picture, until the context menu comes up
o Select ' Save picture', whereupon the following window appears:
Download
Download 2.58 KB file "logo_large_noshade.gif" to ' … icher\My document\Own Pictures\' ?
Yes / Save as / Cancel
o click on 'Yes' to store the file
And it disappeared without a trace ( I can't find it, neither in main storage, nor in internal memory, still with the search function of Total Commander and also not in 'My Documents', where I expected it.
(BTW: If I select 'Save As' and store it in root directory, it's there. Also it can be found in 'Temporary Internetfiles', where it disappeares after cleaning PIE's cache).
If I call the PIE again after Cache and other deletion of all temporary PIE data and would drive the above mentioned points out again, after clicking 'Yes' as above mentioned, there is an additional message:
Download
A file of this name already exists. Qould you like to replace it ?
So it's obviously there, but I can't find it.
Any advice, tips, hints ? Does your Diamond act as mine ?
I'm looking forward to reading from you )
Best regards from germany (so that's also the reason, why my english isn't good and all above mentioned HTC-messages are translated by myself, so perhaps they differ a bit from the english ROM) ;o)
Lars
I just tried it and got the same behaviour you mention. It is strange, but not exactly a serious issue when you can just over ride the default save location and retrieve the image from there.
Hi,
thanks Medulla for your confirmation. You're right, I can override the default save location (and will do this in the future).
But my problem is: I already saved alot and my datamemory is already nearly zero so I have to delete these files. Or completely hardreset the device *yiek*
Any further idea ? Regards: Lars )
Hi,
I've 2 problems with tomtom:
-I can't usa the new option on tomtom (navigation to image).
- How use tomtom as principal navigation software in navipanel.
Someboy can help me?
Hardware button customization solve part of the problem (tomtom on sx button and navipanel disabled) but.... Is possible to use navipanel with tomtom and tomtom with footprints photos?
stay tuned
Marco
U can use the hardware-Button-customizing from here.
Or:
The changing the button from NaviPanel to TomTom is easy:
Navpanel customizable with TomTom, u find a registrykey named
HKLM\Software\HTC\NaviSW\
U find the entry MiddleLayerDLL
Change the string to NaviSWMiddle_TomTom.dll
Now is TomTom the Navisoft in NaviPanel
Works with following navsofts:
CoPilot
NaviTel
PaPaGo
TomTom
(It works only with the OEM-softs from device)
Greetings Mirko
Hi! Thanks for the answer!! Another question:
There aren't possibilities to use navpanel with tomtom without oem-version? I've installed a new version of the software...
Will not work, only with OEMs
Greetings

Hi, what do you mean with "entry"? is it a reg key or reg value (ex. DWORD, or SZ)?
reg value

I bought Copilot 8 and i have the same problem.
There is no way to make work for not OEM?
Retrieving some file from the OEM?
I noticed that after i remove the OEM Copilot 7 and installed the Copilot 8 (not OEM) all work until the first softreset.
bluefish: No. There is not. Or you can try to debug NaviPanel.exe and write your custom DLL . Good luck.

I do it! I see that NaviSWMiddle_CoPilot.dll to work need alksdk.dll. I copied from the version 7 oem and now Navipanel and Footprints run, but the destination is not passed correctly. Maybe it need version 8 of dll.
But this is already a step ahead.
Also no need hardware button customization to restore the navigation key.
bluefish: That is exactly, what I meant. Each navigation software most probably have some kind of API. At least, CoPilot, NaviTel, PaPaGo, TomTom and Garmin have it. Next step is to make your own DLL (it is not that difficult), which will be triggered via NaviPanel.exe and will send proper command via API into navigation software. But you need to know, how is DLL triggered and this part is not easy to find out.
Could somebody upload a copy of alksdk.dll from v7 please so that I can put it in my windows dir?
Thanks, Paul
Here is the dll
Thanks - that works a treat. I just copied the .dll file to the Windows directory and it worked. Didn't need the .reg file. Thanks very much
No REG Key
After having installed Ultimate_iOmEgA_ROM_25-December-2009_WM6.5_COM2_XIP_SYS_21887_0407_Deutsch_Deutschland on my XDA, the NaviPanel isn't connected to TomTom.
In the registry i don't even find the registrykey NaviSW!
Can anyone provide a script to add this key and the values?
Thanks!
Markus
NaviPanel
I think the attached file worked quite well for my XDA Guide but I was running WM6.1 rather than 6.5
Which XDA are you using? Is it the Guide? I'd be really interested in running WM6.5 on my Guide but haven't found a file that will do it yet that I can trust.
Thanks, Paul
Hi Paul,
thanks for the message. Yes, I run WM6.5 on the xda cruise since yesterday. Up to now everything runs fine.
For installation of WM6.5 i used this Hard-SPL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=552481) and this ROM(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=572713).
Thanks to OliNex and billabongstaff! Great pieces of work!!
I tried to follow the instructions you posted but i cannot find <Programs> - <System> in WM6.5.
Does anyone know how to import reg-scripts in 6.5?
Thank you and a happy new year!
Markus
Hello everyone :crying:
After installing "NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA_V2.8.zip - ZIP Rom ( By the way, beautiful Rom Thanks to tytung. )
I'm trying to install IGO PRIMO for android 800X480 and I get the following message:
user interface resolution [0x0] is not suppotted or cpmpatible skin can not be found, exiting applifation
Can anyone give me a suggestion for a solution ?
avi1961
I managed to install IGO PRIMO But now I have another error message.

you have to erase some old voices, which are not supported. but if you just accept the message igo will work normal.
I managed to install the rum NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA_V2.8.zip - ZIP after many attempts and reading many guides.
I'm trying to install igo primo and get a message user interface resolution [0x0] is not suppotted or cpmpatible skin can not be found, exiting applifation
I installed software that checks the Rzlotziit screen "screen size" and it somehow shows me that Rzlotzih of "your screen height in pixels is 505
And your screen width in pixels is 320.
I think that's why I can not install igo primo.
Have installed some applications such as vplayr or mega flash or app 2 sd pro, etc. can cause a change in the definition of Rzlotzit screen?
(I know that pictures etc. can interfere with ...)
Thanks in advance to the experts.

The unsupported resolution is due to the softkeys.
Disable them or install a rom where you can disable them on the fly. (eg. PA, PACman, AOKP, etc.)
I understand that first I delete all the programs I installed and then install the IGO and then bring them back and then everything should be arranged?

No thanks,
As long as the softkeys/navigation bar is active, igo will not work.
Download - http://nexus-hd2.googlecode.com/files/Softkeys_Switcher_for_NAND_and_NativeSD.zip and disable the softkeys.

How? -Same as rom.
Where? -In recovery.
Choose Nand/NativeSD, choose to disable the softkeys, reboot.:fingers-crossed:
How is it going avi1961?
First, gogodu5sU ' Thanks for the help.
I need to Open the rom and just install the new folders instead of the recurrence of the same name, then do reboot ?
You're Welcome.
The link i posted is from the same thread you downloaded the rom. It's from tytung.
see under "Extra Downloads - Softkeys_Switcher_for_NAND_and_NativeSD.zip" - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21173918&postcount=1
That zip-file is not a rom. It only disables or enables the softkeys for your rom. That's all it does.
0.Put Softkeys_Switcher_for_NAND_and_NativeSD.zip on your SD-card
1.You boot into recovery (same as installing a rom)
2.Choose to install Softkeys_Switcher_for_NAND_and_NativeSD.zip
3.Aroma installer will open
4.Choose Nand or NativeSD (i am not certain/i don't know where you installed the rom)
5.Choose Disable softkeys/Navigation bar
6. Press Ok
7. reboot.:fingers-crossed:
First of all thank you for the help.
I installed the software and indeed is disable the softkeys.
But I did not understand two things 1) You wrote choose to disable the softkeys and tytung writes After enabling Softkeys.
And second, where is the enable/disable the virtual softkeys ?
I installed the Softkeys_Switcher_for_NAND_and_NativeSD.zip
And then installed the Power Button / Softkey Mod
And I can not find the enable/disable the virtual softkeys.
In Order to use IGO install the 800x480 Version in Landscape mode!!! Softkeys in Landcape = 0 !
Also you must start IGO in Landscape mode. After it starts, it can be used in Portrait also.
