[Q] Working Chinese IMEs with Handwriting Input Methods - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been testing some handwritten chinese IME's on the Nook Color lately (scut gPen, Hanwriting IME) and none of them seem to work.
Just wondering if anybody here has knowledge of any working chinese IME's with working handwriting functionality (writing the character directly on screen to retrieve the result).

Decuma OnSpot Latin conflict

EDIT: I have found-out, that this concerns the other SIP methods as well (i.e. MathInput, NullKeyboard etc.). Probably the only one 3rd party SIP which is working well is RESCO KEYBOARD.
Hello all,
when I install this handwriting recognition software into my Wizard (probably the only one that allows to write special czech characters) on clean freschly flashed ROM, it works well. But when I install later all the software that I want (various today's plug-ins, calculators, dictionaries etc.) it stops working (Resco keyboard works still well) and when I try to select Decuma, common white keyboard is shown instead. There is probably a conflict with some of the installed applications but I am not so skillful to find out with which one.
If anybody could be able to help to resolve this, I will gladly send the trial version of Decuma for experiments.
The people from Decuma unfortunately do not communicate at all.
Thank you.

Hebrew translations of software

Dear developer people,
I would be happy to translate strings of any software into Hebrew so as to make the software friendlier for Israeli people
I have a Universal with WM6 ROMS (which I change when something nice comes out).
Contact me, I'm happy to assist!

I think there would be a problem with text direction for many programs (many programs are made only considering left-to-right text)... it probably would not be a problem for something where there is fixed text but anything with input to display would have trouble without right-to-left support...
Hey WandrerX,
Firstly, there is RTL support via 3 solutions for the OS which can be purchased.
Addiotionally - just by installing a hebrew font it is possible to show hebrew on the screen (I use cour.ttf in my windows directory).
I am offering to translate and debug all the strings so applications can have a hebrew interface, thus making them more popular in Israel.
No-body interested?

T9 Chinese input in WM6

I am using english wm6 rom and I can hardly find any t9 input method, which is the stroke input method in many chinese mobile device, for this version of windows mobile.
i prefer neither cd-star nor monster coz they are not stable and slow down the system. is there any stand alone SIP cab file available?
Hi, I was looking around and finally found this:
http://blog.g4team.com/?page_id=339
It is by far, the best that I've seen in terms of providing the ability to read Chinese Traditional, Simplified, and Japanese as well as inputting those languages. No registry tweaking necessary as Leies has already packed everything you need into cabs.
Be warned though, the "Enlarge Start Menu" utility will not work with it.
Specifically,

this will give you keyboard support for chinese input. No need for T9 when you have full keyboard available.

International Keyboard

For Android, what's the best tool(s) for typing different languages? Popular languages happen to have complete locales and dictionaries for different Android keyboards, but people like me are less fortunate.
Half of the time, I type in Filipino/Tagalog. For those times, I have to slow down because the keyboard's dictionary won't properly correct my typing. This is also terrible on Swype. It's great that Swype automatically adds words once they are typed, but it's still a hassle to enter every word I am to use.
What tools are available to make the keyboard work well for typing languages without dictionaries? Is there a language file for localization on Android?
search for HTC_IME on this forum. There's a version of the htc keyboard compiled for nexus one. It works great for various languages and allows you to add words automatically after typing, etc...

External keyboard produce only english letters

Hi all,
I own a Fire HD 8 (2018 edition).
When connecting a Bluetooth external keyboard, it produces only English letters, even when another language layout is selected (Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, etc).
Although that when popping the virtual keyboard - it presents the right letters, still, pressing the external keyboard produces only English letters.
Tried with different keyboards from different manufacturers, the problem exists with all.
Even tried to add my own layout grabbed from android src code and adding a new listener of type: ACTION_QUERY_KEYBOARD_LAYOUTS as described in Android dev site under "InputManager".
But nothing solved the problem.
Will deeply appreciate your help,
Yossi
