Dear XDA community,
So i just got my Galaxy S2 yesterday, and i flashed to KG2.
However, after i flash, there used to be four shortcut at the bottom of homescreen ( Phone , Contact, Messaging, Application ), Now there are only Phone and Application.
Is there anyway i can add the contact and messaging back down there?

Good evening everybody,
Well, until last week I used an HTC Elf (3450) and the SPB Diary.
The main purpose for me was to see my "rendez-vous" and tasks of the day on the same screen.
Now I have the Touch HD. I find the Touch Flow 3D very nice and easy to use. It's more than I want but ... how can we display the tasks ???
It seems it's not possible (for the moment ?)...
And I just can't believe that no one, here, is interested in displaying the Tasks on the Home screen just behind (or instead of) last calls for instance ...
I'd appreciate if someone could develop a plug-in or a stuff like that ...

I would also be very interested in displaying tasks in the home screen (the screen is so big, let's use it !).
It's so obviously useful.
And you can't even have a Task tab, according to HTC's FAQ :

No, TouchFLO 3D does not support Tasks as one of its tabs.
As an alternative, you can put shortcut to Tasks in the Start Menu:
Go to Start > Settings > Personal tab > Menus, check the Tasks box.

I just added Second Today. It works fine and btw you can have 2 fully environments swapping from one to the other but ...

- I tought about something more simple : just a few more lines on the home screen or why not ... a new tab icon ?
I really don't understand what is the problem with those tasks and why it seems so difficult.
If HTC can't do that I'm sure someone here could ...
I have just allocated the left soft button to tasks until a better solution comes along.

On the home page, I have assigned the left soft key (normally phone) to launch my task manager (using the registry editor) so it is only one button from the front page.

TF3D tasks view ?
Hello,
I am wondering how to view my daily tasks /not appointments/ in some of TF3D tabs ?
Any solutions ?

I tried installing the Xperia panels interface the other day, and was pleasantly suprised to see you can have tasks on your home screen there.
How wedded to the TF3D home screen are you? You could try the Xperia one.
If I could replace the "Call History" on the home tab for "x active tasks" or "x tasks to do today" would already be great!

i have my X1 for 4 days now and i managed to install some tools. xperiatweaker, g-alarm, ms voice command and the you tube panel!
what i would like to know is: where can i find an index of available panels or are they made custom ..(how) ?
is there a way to get the audio louder ? for example in g-alarm i can raise the vloume by a pre-amplifier...
how can i assign ringtones / caller picturesto my contacts or even create groups and the assign "group ringtones" ?

I have a question not an answer..How do you set for the pictures to save into the memory card not the phone..Ive looked and cant figure it out..And Congrats on the Purchase..I just Bought mines yesterday ( Pricey..But Loving it)
after 3 days of reading i decided to flash the latest xperience 3.5 rom... really nice and lots of nice tools!
but im still having some problems switching panels... can switch from tf3d panel to the standard SE panel BUT not back... when i press teh panel button my phone freezes immediately and i have to take out the battery... any ideas ?

well, to assign ringtones/caller pictures, you would have to set up the contacts as an outlook contact (different from sim)
as for groups, i've still got idea. I've only gotten my xperia for 5 days :x
thanks! but how do i set up the SIM contacs as outlook contacts without having double entries ?
the freezing problem gets really anoying... i just can use the TF3D panel..., i can switch the panel ONCE and then if i press the panel button ....freeeze!
and there is another bug... i tried to change the keylock setting so that i can activate the screen by ANY button... but somehow the setting is not saved properly cuz i still have to use the I/O button on top...?

btw----installed the YOTA contacts...very cool and you can create several groups and assign ringtones =)
for sim contacts, you can tweak it to show only outlook.. maybe xperia tweak has it..

Flashing to official 1.48 ROM (HTC), I've experienced just one problem : I can't delete shortcuts I've placed on home tab... I've installed 4x4 rows favorite tab from this forum, is it the problem ? Have I to delete this ? This cab has some known pb on Leo ?

OK, I've uninstalled the "Vovichek_Jamrecords 16 TT UPDATED.cab" to get back to 3 rows... and now I'm able to delete shortcuts. But I'm still on 3-rows (9 buttons) in home tab.
Is there any way to get 4-rows or 5-rows buttons on home tab ?
On my Touch Pro 2, with Valkyrie ROM, I've 5-rows in Sense 2.5 ...
No one on this section use any cab to get mroe buttons on home tab ?
Please share your experience !
I've got 5x4 on mine, and it seems to work fine. I can remove links without issue, and contact images work too.

I've one minor graphical bug with this cab : when synchronizing my contacts with facebook, the "facebook" (F) icon near my contact's shortcuts is toooooo big, so I can't read the name of my contacts, because this icon is over it.. did you have this pb too ?

I've seen a thread about that and did mess about with some of the icons to see if I could fix it, but to no avail. (I've just had a search, and can't find that thread, but it is there somewhere!)
I personally don't have contacts on my quick links. I'm happy with the people tab being 1 tab along and just use that instead.

hi guys new to this as had iphone previously when i go to my settings screen im getting the calendar, people, & music icons twice even if i delete the additional shortcuts it just re writes them? any ideas how i can stop this? also my navi panel has lost it's icon and i just a generic white & blue folder icon now. All help appreciated

What programs have you installed? Did you do any tweaking? Did you flash a new ROM? If you could give more information about your phone and when the problem first occurred it would be easier for the experts on the forum to diagnose the situation.
Did you try doing a soft reset yet?
flashed to 1.48wwe and have duttys task manager and the official sim contacts upgrade but that was put on after the ROM upgrade. the additional icons are just plain blue & white with the names underneath, but even when i delete the additional shortcuts they re appear!
Get this from the cabs link in my signature...
Touch X Permanently Delete Reappearing HTC Icons.cab
Install that and then use file explorer (or similar app) and go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs. You will see the shortcuts in there - just delete them and they won't come back.

i just got my tattoo today(yes i know i should have waited for a wilf fire but this was in my budget) well it was just made craze to buy android and im kinda lost here(in a Winmo user) can u kindly guide me on the following and im writing this after searching in this forum so kindly help
1. how to set various ring tones i mean my personal tone as my incoming ring tone on the Winmo i just need to move the tone called ringtone on the base
of the phone memory i searched my phone i cant do it on the android phone
2. on the winmo i had some thing called people ie i can put the contacts of the people i call often on a Widget on the screen i go to it and touch the name and i can call him can u pls tell me how to do the same here
if u can kindly point me out to the thread also i would be most obliged

to set notifications,
on the sd card there will be a folder called media.
in it will be folders called ringtones, notifications etc. add files as u want in the required folders.
then goto settings, sound and display, and set the tones..
for people, there is nothing such on the android os. ppl was a part of the touch flo that htc gave over winmob. tatoo has nothing such// so use the contacts manager of android..

For people you don't need a widget, on Android you can add a shortcut to a contact to the desktop (long press on the desktop, shortcuts > Contact/Direct dial/Direct message), choosing whether you want that shortcut to be direct dial, direct message or just list all available contact methods. If you first create a folder on the desktop (long press on the desktop, folders, new folder) you can add all the contacts you wish there, personally I just use the right most desktop screen for contacts.
Also you can try playing with Favourites (UK spelling!) in the contacts menu, it may do what you need.
However saying this I'm not sure which version of Android runs on the tattoo so you may not have some of these features...

or simply read the user manual which can be found let's say here http://www.htc.com/www/userguide.aspx?p_id=313
