Possibly bricked mytouch 3g

Well I followed the 1.2 tutorial and successfully flashed the image file all the way up to the recovery and radio stuff. Now the phone will not boot it freezes at the htc magic boot screen and also I don't have root access. Also I can get into fastboot but the usb is not working now so I an kinda stuck. Any help would be appreciated.

I just had this problem, I re-installed the RUU via usb while the phone was on and that let me try again.
edit - that might not make any sense actually, since I followed a different guide and having just read through the one you are following. I am not 100% but I'm pretty sure if you did it that it would work though.

How do you know you don't have root? Can you get into recovery (home+power). You may need to hold it down for a while to get it going.

I held it down for a good few minutes and I noticed the phone does not boot at all it just sits at the HTC boot logo forever, allthough it doesnt flash vibrate or do any weird stuff just hangs.

Nm I was able to re-flash sappimg and the phone is now fully functional Also the cyanogen rom I downloaded from the tutorial was corrupt just fyi for those having problems.

Root help

Hello. I used the un lockers guide for rooting.
Went through it and then go to check via Terminal and it says dennied with NO # symbol.
When I boot into Hboot, it says the following:
glacier pvt eng s-0ff
hboot 0.85.2007 (pd1510000)
microp 0429
radio and some number
emmc boot
What am i doing wrong?

do the whole process again until root sticks permanently. Sometimes I've seen people do it 3 times till it finally stuck. But for me I needed to do the whole process twice.

I had issue with visionary, just went back and checked the boxes, after that I was good to go

Another quick question... once I put the rootinflg files on the SD card I don't need to plug the phone in via USB anymore right?

If you have engineering bootloader with s-off (which you do according to OP) then all you need to do is run Visionary again and the root should stick.

ok so i have a Magic+ the stats as follows

so as you can see i got the hboot installed but now it just stays at the rogers boot screen i do have fastboot but no adb and the clockmode recovery but it keeps crashing or put the phone in to boot loop. I have done almost twenty fours hours of reading but am just really confused so i have a few questions keeping in mind that i know very little so please be patient with me
1) i have read that you can fastboot a rom on which i think is the problem
but don't know the commands to do this can some one post them or send me in the right direction
2) the clockworkmode keeps crashing can i put another custom recovery and if so what would be a good/stable one for my phone

There's a guide on the first page by mumilover. You need to look at step 5. The 6.35 radio requires a specific recovery that you can't get from ROM manager.

but i don't have the ability to use adb just fast boot
is there a way to put it on the phone through fastboot if so where or what are the commands for it

Wait nevermind you have an engineering SPL. Just search how to flash a recovery from fastboot.

i got it up and running i used fastboot commander and installed recovery RA-magic-v1.701.img works great then i followed the directions in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=666859 she works like a charm thank you everybody for your suggestions

[Q] Soft brick bell Desire?

I have a Bell Desire Z I got from a friend, its stuck at the HTC screen but lets me into the bootloader. I extracted the Rom.zip from the latest Bell ruu I could find, it looks like its flashing okay but nothing changes, it still won't boot. I tried flashing a tmobile image but I get an error saying "model id incorrect" here's what I'm looking at:

HBOOT-0.85.0005
MICROP-0425
RADIO-26.03.02.18_M3
eMMC-boot

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I've tried searching the forums and nothing I've tried works.

Have you tried the factory reset option in HBOOT?

Yeah, it didn't make any change, it just sits at that white HTC screen forever..

Hello, my HTC Glacier has been stuck in bootloop and the only thing I can access is the HBOOT.
I tried the following:
1. Unplugged the battery leave if for a minute or two, then plug it back in.
2. Unplugged the SD Card while rebooting.
3. Rebooting through HBOOT
please help me unbrick my HTC Glacier

Write your post with huge letters, colors and other stuff you can, but read a thread just above called "if you think your Glacier is bricked - here" you can't?
