Virtuous Unity Sense 3.0 based on Pyramid - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Website states updates are visible through ROM Manager. I don't see it on my ROM manager and it is licensed. Does it show for anyone else?

I know people like Cyanogen and the developers here work wonders. but i servery doubt it. 3.0 was meant to a Tablet OS, not a phone OS. 2.4 from what i've been reading will be the phone version of 3.0.
Well I hope atleast some parts of 3.0 come over

I'm not saying it's "not" going to happen. I'm sure there will some stuff that migrates over. But i don't think the entire OS will come over. I could be wrong. I've been wrong before.
There will be one may it be 3.0 or 2.4, its going to be good regardless you can bet on it. Its just a matter of when. The mytouch 4g might get it last tho ) :
Might be honeycomb for phones after all at&t phone will have honeycomb http://tinyurl.com/4hv5rt7

so far every site but the one you posted has it listed as a fake
What I read is there will be a 2.4 for phones that will combine Gingerbread and Honeycomb.. Honeycomb is for tablets although I'm sure we will see a custom rom/port for a phone..

You should use RoyalGlacier. That is the latest and current best stock based HTC sense ROM. This is the link to RoyalGlacier Thread.

Neither IcedGlacier nor RoyalGlacier are HTC Sense. They are MySense, a slightly changed version of Sense designed for the MyTouch line. Royal is working on a true Sense build though, there is a Teaser in the General section with a few screenies and some info.
Royal glacier is the updated iced? I thought it was a seperate? It seems glichy I use the mytouch as my business line I just want vto check to make sure its stable"
Battery life, sync, tethering, videos etc.

I tried out royal glacier. It was pretty good. It is an upgrade from iced glacier.

Which 2.2.1 sense Tom is the most stable of all??

Oops typo I meant to say rom so which is the most stable n fully functioning 2.2.1 base rom with sense

Royal Glacier or Orange Glacier. Can't go wrong with either.
are both of those fully working? im on CM 7 rc3, right now and everything works out of box no modifying.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=878320
100% functinoal, 100% stable, fast
Remember that almost any ROM with "Glacier" in the name will not be real Sense, but instead the T-Mobile customized version that the stock ROM has (Iced Glacier, RoyalGlacier, etc).
Yeah I want HTC sense not T-Mobile sense

Just head over to the development section and you can see all the ROM's that are for this phone.
I wanted to know if other roms not built for it could work without it like breaking the phone

Dev section has a sticky that has almost everything called the resource bible... Thought it does need to be updated! And also, why would you want to try to put something that isnt BUILT for this phone on it, devs port and tweaj almost wverything desired over to our phone.... Thats like trying to put a yugo motor in a porche!

That's all the same ROM. Virtuous Unity is Sense 3.0/3D. It's well known that VU runs faster on the MT4G than the stock Sensation ROM runs on the Sensation.

[Q] ICS Sense port?

I noticed that the Sensation now has a leaked alpha HTC ICS ROM with Sense. I know that other ROMs have in the past been ported between HTC devices. Is there any chance the Sensation ROM could get ported over?
Marseillesw was trying last I heard. If he is making progress, its going to be tough. There are no ICS Sense kernels for our device, and according to TDJ, "Good luck. Sense kernels are a b****."
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
let's hope once there's a new HTC device with sense and ICS, then that can be the source
better yet... does sense 4.0 with ICS sound good?

I was wondering the same thing. HTC pretties up stock "Vanilla" Andriod, but ICS looks pretty good as is. They'd have to bust out some serious magic to make me want it.

Yes but what I'm saying is there's already an HTC device with official Sense and ICS - it's not a final build but it's direct from HTC. So there is a source available.

HTC has been working hard to get its Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades ready, and we’re excited to announce that our first round of ICS upgrades will roll out by the end of March for the HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XE, followed soon there after by the HTC Sensation XL.
In addition, we can confirm Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades will be coming later this year to the HTC Rezound, HTC Vivid, HTC Amaze 4G, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G, HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire S and HTC Desire HD. Stay tuned for more updates on Ice Cream Sandwich releases in the coming weeks.

Given that they'll eventually bring the Desire S and Desire HD to ICS... at that point you'd probably be able to make a fully functional ICS port. I may be wrong but doesn't one of those phones even have the exact same camera hardware as Glacier? That'd provide us with a driver.
Mind you I have already moved on to GNex land
Seems cool. But looks like all of the good MT4G devs are gone now since I had the phone couple months ago.

Yeah, my port was a pain in the ass since at the moment we don't have a working 3.0 kernel. However once the official is out for dhd, porting the rom and kernel libs will be much easier. One the bright side, keep ur eyes open in the dev thread the next few days...can't say much more lol
