Royal Glacier or Orange Glacier. Can't go wrong with either.
are both of those fully working? im on CM 7 rc3, right now and everything works out of box no modifying.

100% functinoal, 100% stable, fast
Remember that almost any ROM with "Glacier" in the name will not be real Sense, but instead the T-Mobile customized version that the stock ROM has (Iced Glacier, RoyalGlacier, etc).
Yeah I want HTC sense not T-Mobile sense

You should use RoyalGlacier. That is the latest and current best stock based HTC sense ROM. This is the link to RoyalGlacier Thread.

Neither IcedGlacier nor RoyalGlacier are HTC Sense. They are MySense, a slightly changed version of Sense designed for the MyTouch line. Royal is working on a true Sense build though, there is a Teaser in the General section with a few screenies and some info.
Royal glacier is the updated iced? I thought it was a seperate? It seems glichy I use the mytouch as my business line I just want vto check to make sure its stable"
Battery life, sync, tethering, videos etc.

I have tried Evil and Gorilla's Desire HD Rom's, Ice Glacier, CM 7, Royal Thunderbolt...have never ran into any issues on either of those. Each phone is unique and will not give you the same results. My advice is to decide what you like stock or sense and then try the different roms out and go from there.

Once your "rooted" and your no longer running stock there is no such thing of "100% FULLY working"..
But try CM7 nightlies there awesome.
You can give my AOSP 1.0.1 a shot... It is functional... I don't believe it has any visible bugs...
My vote is on Orange sense, such a great Rom haven't found much, if anything at all, wrong with it

I have no problems with Royal Ginger 1.6. Its awesome, I run this one all the time.
Sent from my Royal Ginger Deluxe!
Not to be a party pooper, but shouldn't this be in Q&A?
Yes it should be in Q&A.
But, with any AOSP Rom you are going to have data slowdown. After a while of the phone being in standby the data will drop to about 1mb downloads. WiFi will cap at about the same.
Once you toggle airplane mode it wakes something up and you will have your usual speed back.
No one has been able to solve this yet, and is the only drawback to aosp.

I been runnin royalginger v1.4.1 for the longest & never had an issue, internet speeds never slowed dwn & wifi was just plain fast,as for 2.2 royalglacier has been the most stable,Team Royal's rom are smooth, fast & stable but again once rooted no rom is 100%,**** no phone is 100%.....
Roylalthunder is a great and fast Rom too and your speeds increase as well

Just head over to the development section and you can see all the ROM's that are for this phone.
I wanted to know if other roms not built for it could work without it like breaking the phone

That's all the same ROM. Virtuous Unity is Sense 3.0/3D. It's well known that VU runs faster on the MT4G than the stock Sensation ROM runs on the Sensation.

There are several CM7 variants on in the Dev section as well as MIUI.
Check the screenshots in the various threads to get an idea of what they look like.

Hey,
I have the same 'problem'. I'm not too fond of the sense ui. I've been using BlackICE and it is very fast and stable, in my opinion. Give it a go and let me know if it's good. I'm using this until a full/stable version of ICS is released

+1
My original opinion about MIUI was less than kind. Something along the line of "If I wanted a bloody iPhone, I'd have bought one. Blah, blah." However, out of sheer boredom I flashed Derek's build one day. I used MIUI for a couple of months. Thats, like, a record for me. If you don't like the launcher drop Launcher Pro, Go launcher or whatever on top. The options, popup sms, THEMES (my God, the themes) and raw speed are phenomenal.

I noticed that the Sensation now has a leaked alpha HTC ICS ROM with Sense. I know that other ROMs have in the past been ported between HTC devices. Is there any chance the Sensation ROM could get ported over?
Marseillesw was trying last I heard. If he is making progress, its going to be tough. There are no ICS Sense kernels for our device, and according to TDJ, "Good luck. Sense kernels are a b****."

let's hope once there's a new HTC device with sense and ICS, then that can be the source

I was wondering the same thing. HTC pretties up stock "Vanilla" Andriod, but ICS looks pretty good as is. They'd have to bust out some serious magic to make me want it.

Yes but what I'm saying is there's already an HTC device with official Sense and ICS - it's not a final build but it's direct from HTC. So there is a source available.

HTC has been working hard to get its Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades ready, and we’re excited to announce that our first round of ICS upgrades will roll out by the end of March for the HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XE, followed soon there after by the HTC Sensation XL.
In addition, we can confirm Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades will be coming later this year to the HTC Rezound, HTC Vivid, HTC Amaze 4G, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G, HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire S and HTC Desire HD. Stay tuned for more updates on Ice Cream Sandwich releases in the coming weeks.

Given that they'll eventually bring the Desire S and Desire HD to ICS... at that point you'd probably be able to make a fully functional ICS port. I may be wrong but doesn't one of those phones even have the exact same camera hardware as Glacier? That'd provide us with a driver.
Mind you I have already moved on to GNex land
Seems cool. But looks like all of the good MT4G devs are gone now since I had the phone couple months ago.

Yeah, my port was a pain in the ass since at the moment we don't have a working 3.0 kernel. However once the official is out for dhd, porting the rom and kernel libs will be much easier. One the bright side, keep ur eyes open in the dev thread the next few days...can't say much more lol
