WidgetLocker Worth the $$? - Optimus One, P500, V Themes and Apps

I'm thinking about buying widgetlocker because of the theme potential that this application has and I've seen themes that look very similiar to MIUI which looks amazing. Have you guys tried the app on the O1 and how are the themes?

trust me, it's definitely worth the money.

It's worth the money and I think is cheap. I dont use it anymore because it drains batery faster.
[off]Now I use this app[/off]

Yea its worth out plus you always have it no matter what android phone you have

yeah i love the app, my lockscreen looks amazing now

The app is ok, the wide selection of themes make it worth the money.

Take a look here. Awesome themes!

[Q] Why no Pipboy 3000?

Why hasn't anyone made a pipboy 3000 rom or theme yet? who could possibly disagree that it would be awesome looking? i have some ideas for this so if any Devs want to pm and see what i got in mind for a sweet rom, feel free.
Lol no

Yes we need a pipboy 3000 theme... but from the themes I've seen online for other platforms the icons don't make any sense or they are a stretch. I think there can be a really good and usable theme but I lack any actually skill to produce anything legit....lol I hope there is enough of a demand for one. I think I could give some ideas on this too.
Yeah seriously, it would be awesome and the launcher the theme if for sucks, i plan and reading and reading to learn to dev if any one wants to help pm, seriously, i have been waiting for this for far too long.
Have no fear! The Pipboy 3000 Theme is here!
Finally someone made a Pipboy 3000 Theme.
I just got it a couple of hours ago and it is awesome.

[Q] Nice UI from Japan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S6NMH4ry-4
This is a nice UI from a gingerbread device Infobar A01 from Japan ,
Mixed WP7 and Android feel. Is there any similar launcher?
Saw this on the Android GAF thread. Looks super awesome. Nice to see a OEM/Manafactuer make a totally different UI as opposed to Sense/TouchWiz etc which barely changes the style of Android
love it!!
ok im moving to japan now! bye
Someone absolutely needs to make a launcher out of this. please.
Very nice

I've been keeping a close eye on Fipplr, and recently pinged the CEO/Founder of the company behind it since I hadn't heard from her in a while. She told me that because of legal concerns, they decided to modify the look and feel. I'm still super excited for it though, and she's promised to keep me updated and let me know when they have any renders/details of the new style.

The UI in the video has a WM 6.1 system bar on top. I wouldn't get your hopes up for this on Android just yet.

Wouldn't use it, really don't like it.
Knowing me I'd want all my tools/games on the main screen and there would be too much scrolling. I don't see how that's any better then what's currently out there.

That's prettyy much like a totally black Android toolbar with white icons... and any way, the phone advertised IS an Android phone with a June(??) release date (hopefully).
Thats ugly, the screen is too crowded, everything is too fat and bulky, theres no room for a wallpaper, vertical scrolling is boring, and the category title bars are too thick

[Q] MIUI?

Why does almost everyone recommend MIUI? MIUI is nothing but a pain for me, it's always lagging and the color scheme is not very appealing.
That's a VERY vague question and miui is the most customizable rom there is to offer on this phone. As for sluggishness you're crazy what are you running apply and kernel wise?

I agree with Nic. MIUI rocks on this device. It comes with a ton of awesome features, and customizability is second to none.

kk seriously, dunno what's going wrong with you bro
lagging, check to see if you have random tasks bogging you down, as for color, customize your theme to make it more appealing

How much pain has it cost you really? what else did you install/ flash on your phone that you think it's making it lagging and as for color i really dont know what to tell you. when you post stuff like this, it's like a slap in the face to the developers. be careful how you critique what people have worked hard for..
All i can say is thank you Derek for your work..
Not to beat a dead horse, but I agree with everyone else. MIUI is every bit as fast and smooth as plain AOSP, and with a lot more attractive UI and is more customizable. If it wasn't for the lack of an app drawer, I'd probably have used it longer.

If the only thing you dont like about it is that is it missing the app drawer just install a new launcher like go launcher
Edit: Or install an app drawer from the market like "organized drawer" and it is just like miui has an app drawer

MIUI paired with the app ALTDrawer = pure awesome. it gives you an app drawer while still keeping the functionality of MIUI, doesnt change the screens or messes with the stock launcher either

Thanks, I hadn't seen that. In it's description it says "Move a shortcut of AltDrawer and replace the old app drawer of your launcher", but obviously MIUI has no app drawer icon to replace. Do you simply make one of your dock icons a shortcut to Altdrawer? If you could post some screenshots, that'd be great.
Miui is definitely fastest ROM out there. Not to mention highly customizable. Gonna have to agree with the crowd

ROM Developers

I honestly dont know to post this in general, or questions, but just an area were you ROM Developers can see this.
I was hoping that some of you could get together, and reconfigure sense in a way to resemble the upcoming HTC EVO 4G LTE.
http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/04/htc-evo-4g-lte-preview-video/
http://www.sprint.com/landings/evo4glte/index.html?INTCID=AB:UEC:HERO:040412:Jet:960x320
It looks quite nice. Somewhat looks like MIUI but with an app drawer and the famous sense clock. I'm not sure how changing the way a ROM works but it seems possible as I've seen so many various 100% custom look changes. Maybe someone just make a very cool stable ROM the resembles the 4G LTE's style. Maybe a sense theme or someone make that sense clock?
If anyone would like to take up this challenge, or multiple of you team up to make a nice rom that looks dead on like the LTE, please leave a reply or send me a PM. I have photoshop experience if any graphics are needed i could help out to an extent.
i would bet money people are working on this and will be coming eventually a great challenge for our wonderful devs
The battery. That removable battery is crucial if you're stuck on a splash screen or bootlooping. Where's the removable battery, HTC?
It will most likely have a reset pin or button combo that will dissconnect the power supply from the battery. Most tablets are that way.
**unrecognized**
Could do something along this line to hold yourself off until then

As sexy as that looks, I think I'll stay AOSP. Less bloat.
Check out SOS S by Team Swag. You can theme it to look quite a bit like Sense 4.0.
Guys, let's stay on topic lol. And Nah. That screen shot is very far from it the LTE. But love that clock

Why do people like clock Widgets? I have never understood the fascination. You can always see the time in the notification bar. Like redundancy? I just don't get it. Why waste your screen with a CLOCK?

What are you guys using that real estate for? Other widgets? More apps? I do like the look of the clock, but honestly I use it because HTC put it there. Never really thought of losing it, lol. But now you got me thinking...
I'm more worried about the people that are worried about what other people are doing. Especially when it concerns something as trivial as an additional clock on a HS. Yikes.
i dont like the size of the sense clock but i like the look and feel of it to be honest if they could slim it down to 2x2 or 4x1 widget i would be pumped
