[Q] Bleached screen - Focus General

Hi, I have an annoying problem with my Focus. Basically the screen randomly take a yellow tinge and all the colors become bleached out. For example white pages, become slightly yellow color. The blue theme looks almost teal, and the keyboard which is dark grey become, light yellowish gray. It does it whether or not automatic brightness is activated. When it happens, the screen just looks like crap. Is that normal or should I get my phone exchanged?

That sounds like a deffective OLED. Certainly not normal.
Did it start all of a sudden? You could try a backup and hard reset. If after hard reset it still happens, then warranty... If not, restore from backup. If it still happens, you probably did a wrong hack... I hope you haven't been tinkering in the internals of the MFG app...

I ended up getting it exchanged at Best Buy, I also specifically asked for a rev1.3 instead of the 1.4 I initially got. So now my screen is perfect and I also have NoDo. Couldn't be any more happier than this.

samsung vibrant pixel marks

There seems to be an issue with the super amoled screen. Its not a biggy as of yet. It seems if you have something on the screen for long periods of time it will wear the pixels out. My example....if you go on a white screen in landscape, the look where the status bar usually is (where it says samssamsun) you can see a fainted image of the status bar and a collage of times, battery and signal (i assume from always changing). U cant really see it and sometimes i wish i couldnt. Small flaws like this upset me. My phone isnt rooted (no screen shots) if you have a vibrant or galaxy s. Could you text and see if this is a product wide issue. Thank you for reading please leave comments.
Don't see that on my phone?
uhh, a screen shot wouldnt show burned out or worn out pixels dude.
So I ran the flashlight application, held up the screen, tried looking at different angles, and couldn't find one anomaly.
You should trade it in for a new one.
did the same thing with the flashlight app, nothing shows up. this dude is on crack.

Maybe he just has a lemon?
I can attest to this. I see it after just booting up and going from the lock screen to the desktop. I can see the faint outline of the white numbers from the time on the lockscreen on my GenieWidget on my desktop at the top of my homescreen(widget has grey background). It seems to dissappear though.
I have some when using color flashlight I see marks where the time is. It is very light but I see it. Tmobile is replacing it now. Lol

[Q] Brightness/Color reduction issues (NOT hardware problem)

The problem: Most screens on my Droid 2 are consistently darkened, as if dimmed to the lowest setting. The colors are even inverted in a few places. I would be inclined to call this a hardware problem, except that many of the stock android screens (app drawer, contacts, settings, etc) display perfectly. As you can see in the (poor quality, sorry) photos, the app drawer looks normal, but the second you switch back to the Home screen, everything visibly fades to a darker, slightly inverted color scheme. Pulling down the notification tray only makes the display darker, and it unquestionably inverts the colors, turning black-on-white text into white-on-black, the wifi indicator turns from blue to orange, and the battery indicator turns from green to blue and magenta.
I've reset the phone to factory, run the SBF through RSD Lite, and searched the Internet high and low for someone experiencing a similar problem. I finally resorted to taking it to Verizon, but (surprise, surprise) they couldn't figure it out, either.
There's been no water damage, and the phone seems to be in pristine condition. It works great in every other respect, but it's basically unusable if the screen doesn't show colors and brightness correctly. I love this phone and don't want to return it to the EBay seller I got it from, but I'm beginning to feel that I have no other choice.
Any help from the XDA gallery?
Well, it's a moot point now. I just returned the phone to the seller; should be getting a full refund.
I'll leave this up for the next guy with this problem. It won't offer much help, but at least he'll know he's not insane.

Screen Brightness Issues..

After long consideration I decided 2day finally update my (amazing) Galaxy Tab 7 to the new 7.7. I saw 5 units in hand but they all suffer from a screen issue. Even with Auto-Brightness OFF, when displaying bright images or there are large portions of white, the screen always self-dimms. I tried all possible settings, all units the same.. nothing 2do w/settings or the ambient-light sensor.. its the nature of this Tab. Ad a real-world test I tried displaying a small white square in the center of the screen w/maximum brigtness and as I enlarge the image the whole screen darkens progressively. By the time the image is in full screen (all white) brightness is less than 1/2..
Is this a hardware/ software issue? Has everyone else noticed this? Is there a fix? Its an absurd flaw.. needless to say, Im not buying the 7.7 till there is a remedy for this behaviour..

Thank you. That makes sense because its under full white that AMOLED screens use more power. Where is that setting? Im used to Gingerbread.. Honeycomb is a mess, I cant find anything I wanna get to
Thanks again

Its a tick box I cant recall exactly where it is but I think its like 2-3 options under screen brightness.
Though you have to take note that the white levels on the Tab7.7 are lower than compared to the 8.9, 10.1 and almost all other high-end Galaxy phones.

Phone screen blemish

Hello all,
After my phone got repaired 2 times for the same reason i want to know if other people experience this issue too?? It is most noticeable on black/blue screens.. Turns red/yellowish.. Now i have to send my phone for a third repair... Would it also be possible to just receive my money back?
Seems like the screen of this device is really really bad..
What turns red/yellowish? I am having my phone repaired right now cause I do see a reddish blurry dot on the screen when viewing video or black backgrounds.
Screen is on multiple spots discoloured on darker colours like black or blue. On those spots the colour is yellow/red where it should be the right colour.
I got that too, today, it weirded me out. The screen went full yellow tinted, and turning the screen off and on didn't do anything. So I restarted, but everything is fine now. But what about later ? Will it appear again ?

Colour corruption in display

This morning, my screen has weirdly shifted colours. It looks like the some settings were messed up while I was asleep (no idea how) and now when greys are too dark, they go purplish, and bright colours are over-saturated with white. Not like in the usual AMOLED oversaturation, which to my belief, is just because of software, but everything that was slightly lighter blue, is now this weird, greyish-blue colour.
Is it a hardware defect or can it be solved in software. Already tried wiping data. Didn't help. (I'm gonna try to reflash android later.)
