i use hyperdroid cm7 one of the best and stable hd2 roms ...and it has all u need
any question... The nand Android install the system in the memory nand but the application in the sd-card?? for example fifa 10(game with 650mb) installing in the sd-card?
much of the roms use sd for applications (a2sd).you can see it in their threads. many of them send also data to sd(data2ext) if you make an ext partition in your sd.
i have spl 3.03 help me pls can't install hspl
have you tried hspl4 , not sure but it works with all spl's.
ok i install the typhon rom in nand... but i have problem with connection... sometimes say no service. i test hyperdroid now htc hd2 rulez

if you want to go directly to desire HD builds then that is your prerogative, but don't whine if ever it lags.
You have HSPL with stock rom? May I know the link of the particular winmo rom you used?

The following WM6.5 and Droid Builds work really well for me, just make sure you re-format the sd card on the WM rom and also change the screen time-out to 'never' before booting from the droid folder. The ROM and Build links are below:
WINMO ROM:
http://htcpedia.com/kwbr_HD2_com3/so...om.html?page=1
DROID BUILD:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793924
Hope you find it as good as I have, just make sure to HSPL before-hand, this is the Nexus One droid build and i've only had one small problem with hearing people on calls, but that fixed itself after a couple of uses. The build is very stable and reliable and also battery life is good (No outstanding BUILD is the best for battery as it really depends on the RADIO you use) .

Even though your going to be using droid all the time anytime you switch off the device, without a bootload option between WM and DROID you will always need a WM ROM to use as a platform to boot droid.
The ROM i use is a very low-key ROM and dosnt take up that much memory.
Plus the RADIO is what ultimately makes the good data connections and battery power etc so you will need both.
The way I have my build the droid battery drain issue is minimum (in my experience) to other builds, its stable, fast and it works well. Just make sure to install LauncherPro once you boot er up.
Just remember though if you restart your phone for any reason it will go back to the WM ROM on boot-up unless you have a BOOTLOADER installed so you can choose between either.
Hope this helps

hi all,
what is difference and benefit between RAM, SD, NAND installation ?
please leave your feedback and experience here..
James
Well here is a quick run down. I use a SD build myself.
Ok Andriod from SD card and RAM is kind of one in the same. You have to copy both versions to your SD card and run CLRCAD and HARET to boot them. But the SD builds run strickly from the SD card, were as the RAM versions place certain vitaile parts of the Android system in the RAM of your phone the first time you boot it, there for taking a little less time to boot but to be honest I don't think there is much difference between them as far as speed and usability. They both also have little hiccups with every build, but nothing that can not be lived with though,I mean after all we all have had to tolerate Windows Mobile Also this is the safest method to run Andriod on hour HD2.
Now NAND is a whole nother ball game. A NAND Andriod Rom will wipe Windows Mobile from your phone. This will let it boot straight into Andriod just like it if it would have came on the phone. They say everything works on the NAND builds and that they are super fast. But NAND takes a lot more time to install and to research before installing. You have a process of having to install HSPL 2.08, MAGLDR 1.13, and then flash your Andriod ROM.
A lot of people love NAND and say they will never go back. But others (like myself) like the SD/RAM builds cause it allows you to dual boot wich is awsome. Hope this helps
Just please read the sticky treats. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=931192 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905841
Both at the first post in the treats
Just to add that ram is no longer synonimous with SD builds, many nand builds load parts into ram at boot. The benefits being a somewhat improved load time for apps, but as in post 2 that's fairly negligable, but what does help is that the framework is in ram too so you tend to get smoother menus, transitions and such.
ram isn't a build type in the way nand and SD are, you choose SD or nand, then with ramdisk tweaks or without. Some ram builds go all the way and load everything into ram, some just a few key parts.but they all start on SD or nand.

I understand your fear of bricking your HD2. With the T-Mobile HD2 you have to make sure you do not flash a wrong radio to it. The T-Mobile HD2 is not like the EU HD2 you can not flash just any ole radio to it. A wrong radio flash on a TMOUS HD2 (T-Mobile HD2) will end in a bricked phone everytime. This is a simple way to tell if the radio you want to flash are the radio in a ROM is compatible radio for your TMOUS HD2.
If it has a 50 in the third set of numbers it is a TMOUS radio. Example: 2.15.50.14 notice the 50
If it has a 51 in the third set of numbers it is not a TMOUS radio.
The only exeptions to this rule are radios like this 2.04.50.xx or 2.05.50.xx they will brick your HD2.
Other then that just make sure you have at least 50% battery charge befor you start a flash and that once you start a flash do not so much as touch you HD2 or let the USB cable become disconnected some how as this might result in a bricked phone too.
Hope this helps you out.

That's a pretty old android build you're using, there... that may be why you're having problems with camera. This have progressed quickly with android... newer SD builds work great and have performance and battery life about the same as NAND builds. Try using a newer build... it will probably work a LOT better.
Please

HI,
First of all , i am extremely sorry for creating this thread . ( Sorry Memebers and Mods).
Actually , i've just bought my new HD2 (India) . No Carrier . It's retail.
I've been scratching my head after going though so many threads and posts for ANDROID , Win Mobi 6.5 , Windows Phone 7 and Ubuntu .
Can u guys please suggest me : -
What's the best Radio for HD2.(Support 576 RAM)
What's the best WM 6.5.5 ROM for HD2. ((Support 576 RAM))
What's the Fastest and Stable WP 7 (SD Card) for HD2.
What's the Fastest and Stable Android (SD Card) for HD2. (Support 576 RAM)
What's the Fastest and Stable Ubuntu for HD2.
Names would be enough , i would search them and follow the instructions.
Guidance is Really appreciated and i need it rigorously.
Thanks in Advance.
(And MODS , Sorry Again)
XDA-Dev.
First there is no definitive best ROM of any kind no matter what your poision (OS) is. Sorry but the ROM you use is really a choice left up to you and what you are looking for in a ROM.
The best radio is the 2.15.50.14 radio. You can download it from the "Master Radio Thread" in the HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 development forum. Also any radio above 2.07.50.xx supports 576MB RAM.
WP7 can only be run from NAND not SD card, youy can only run Android and Ubuntu from SD card.

Yes if both of those ROMs are based off of 3.14 ROMs so radio 2.15.50.14 will give you 576MB with either of those ROMs.
Check out Amnerican Androis for a SD card build.
I have nevernrun Ubuntu so have npo suggestion, but that is my next OS to test out.
I wonder how you people are managing a Sense 3 ROM on the HD2 LEO (EU)...
I flashed a couple of the available Nand Sense 3 ROMs here and all of them were really heavy, I was totally uncomfortable with my HD2, too slow, many glitches, laggy and sometimes hanging :S so impossible for a daily use although Sense 3 is simply tempting ...
To my surprise, I gave a try to a SD Sense 3 ROM (MccMBoxmaX_GS_V_6.5__3D_carousel_effect) and the results were totally incomparable to the Nand Sense 3 version that I've tried..
The question is I don't prefer to use SD ROMs on my HD2 (having to boot Windows first...); so will SD Sense 3 ROMs technically (with their bulky size) be more reliable and faster than similar Nand ROMs or something must have gone wrong with my previous Nand Sense 3 flashing?
something proably with your setup
i have been using sense 3 fora while now and dont see any slowdowns, they are fast and have no issues apart from the known issues of gra[phics glitches and camcorder not working

- Do u have LEO (512) or TMOUS (1024) ?
- How do u partition / prepare your SD card for a Sense 3 NAND ROM? isn't it 1024MB with 0M Swap through MAGLDR ?
- What about your system partition and cash size ? Do you use HD2 Android Nand Toolkit or similars ?
- Do you use cLK or MAGLDR ?
- Is there a clear tutorial how to flash a Sense 3 Nand rom around ? I have no problem with other Nand (non sense 3) roms... like HyperDroid CM7, HyperDroid-GBX, NexusHD2 Gingerbread... BUT unfortunately each has its own set of bugs that made me drop them...
So far my experience with Sense 3 roms is: slowness, lagging, frequent FC (specially during booting).. how are you guys overcoming or surviving with this?
And also, you dont need winmo to run Android from the sd.
SD Android can be run through Magldr directly
You may wanna give this a try...

yes it is a eu leo
ive had 1 gb ext partition since inception of it being used
i use clk
there is no difference flashing the a sense 3 rom to another other using CWM
providing you wipe the partion and data before flashing you shouldnt get any FC
to be honest all the information you need to flash is in the rom creators post, if you are unsure of how to partition etc or flash then i suggest reading all the information thats available
i have a question: whats better, flashing from NAND or SD?
and why?

It all depends. If you're like me and have a EU HD2, your nand memory is small so I suggest a gingerbread build with data on ext. I have tried a number of nativesd including a couple of Tytung's but for me they are too slow for daily use.
Perhaps I am spoilt as I was running WP7 before which is lightning fast. Also you don't need a super fast sd card with WP7.
With the NDT rom, it is MIUI which I really like and also the FM radio works. I use Barnacle for tethering which is fast, as long as you don't mind only WEP security. Speed is pretty good, I am using a class 10 Lexar microsd card. Have not tested the GPS much. I'm using the Tytung kernel version.
Again if its performance you are after, WP7 seems like it was made for this phone, as much as I love android...
Maybe someone will add something else
same here
I am in need of one cause my hd2 movistar spain is really buggy to the point that when I hard reset it the accounts stay my device! Please this is my first HTC so please be gentle. LOL
well, fast and stable builds - it's a nand roms. This is a rule.
So, look at hyperdroid(2.3.7) and one of my projects(4.0 125 mb system). If u wanna later versions of android...u should have more memory for system and data, i think.
