You mean good times? You should be able to root etc with no problems.

Root, without a doubt.
If you want the latest HTC software untouched, but with root then you are in luck, I posted it about a week or so ago.

Yeah, its for the Desire HD.
I gave this a try a few weeks ago. Everything was running great. Its fast and the UI is great. I had problems with Market though. Couldn't download anything so I went back to ARHD.

at the moment i use cm7 but when miui gingerbread für dhd is out i will use it
I'm new to this phone coming from verizon. I have rooted every phone I had but this one comes with gingerbread from the door for me. So theres no root for the update yet?

People are being misled, the above link does not work if you have 0.89.0005. Can't even downgrade if you have it.

You could temp root...remove it..the reboot and your unrooted without biitsound

This wouldn't be possible if he is running a software version above 1.32 which is highly likely.

What'd I miss?
I'm still on v8, was told v15 & 16 are very good. However, it looks like xda has decided to stop giving us access to one of the best roms I've used on the old dhd.
