Has anyone seen that they can't download facebool 1.6.0 for their devices at all?
Luckily I have managed to find the 1.6.0 apk and installed it by pushing it via adb, but i have a feeling it will install with no hassle normally.
Anyone else had this issue?
Facebook needs a Honeycomb optimized app before I'll use the official one. Check out https://market.android.com/details?id=com.locomolabs.facebook for now.
I downloaded your attachment on the xoom and it would not open to install. I use Friend Me and its way better than the phone based facebook app anyway.

I installed the new 3.3.11 Market, even if it was said to be unstable for Honeycomb tablets, and i can once again download apps. Guess i deal with it being unstable..

p.s HoneyVillain 1.2 rom
If you have issues with the Market app, and doing a regular upgrade doesn't fix it, then..
Using Root Explorer, Delete the current vending.apk
Copy the new market version.apk, and rename it to Vending.apk.
Check permissions as they have to be the same as other files.
Reboot device
Go to app manager and force close, and clear the cache
Should work fine then.
I am looking for the new University of Phoenix Android App APK. For whatever reason, I cannot find it on the Android market using my Nook Color but I can find it with my GZone Commando. I am running Manual Nooter flashed to my 1.3.0 NC.
I know not all apps appear in the market. I have changed my LCD density to 160 as mentioned and still cannot download this app. If anyone has a link for the APK, I will gladly sideload the app.
Cheers!
Pulled from Titanium Backup from my G2. Let me know if you have any problems and I'll just pull the actual apk from data/apps/
It works. Thank you very much!!
Excellent, glad I could help.
When I can't find a specific app on market I just install it to my phone, then use file expert to back up the app and transfer it to the Nook, then uninstall from the phone.
Sounds more complicated than it really is.
I can't download apps from the market while using the browser, it says the app will be downloaded shortly, but nothing happens, it also shows installed afterwards.
I have thor's latest rom, the market app recognizes the tablet as an Epad, and it does not let me download some apps, like skyrim live wallpaper from nvidia.
Can someone either post the link to the live wall, or give a way to fix this.
I noticed this with THOR's ROM. I usually end up just getting the apps from the market on the device itself. I'm not sure if there is a fix for it or not......
I know marketplace has youtube for download. I'm looking for youtubetablet.Apo. anyone got this working on the kindle fire?
mediafire/?nntn457o10mba1e Try it. Put a WWW in the beginning and a dot com after mediafire.
What is the advantage to the tablet version? The phone version seems to format ok on the Fire's screen, and you can go full-screen with it.
I get problem parsing package.
Running CM7.

Me too. I'm on stock 622 with root
Do I need to be rooted to install youtube? I get a parsing error with the tablet apk. I can download and install the regular youtube apk. But it immediately force closes when I launch it. Thanx.
Do you have Google Framework Services installed too? You don't need root for You Tube.

yeah i have gapps installed. so i have marketplace, gmail calendar, etc. the problem seems to be specifically with the tablet apk. if i recall correctly there is also an odex file that might need modifying as this particular apk was from a xoom. right now i am running youtube from the marketplace just fine.
i just want to get the tablet apk working as it has a better optimized view for tablets
I have an Acer Iconica A500 & i am trying to get Xbox Smart Glass on it but no matter what it tells me that my device isn't compatible, I have Updated the Acer using the Update Enhancement Update from Acer & i still get the Device isn't compatible...Is there away around this or ?
My Acer is not Rooted & is there away i can get this app installed with Rooting it ?
Thanks
I had downloaded the apk file through google, search because the Google play one was not installable. They have two apps, the smart glass one ran without any problems. The main reason is that they have not yet released tablet support for their app. But rumor has it they will support it later. I installed version 1.0.1 I believe....

So just search Google on the Tablet itself for the apk & then install the the apk how ? with what program & does my Tablet need to be rooted to do this ? or can i just download the apk on my Pc then put it on an Sd & install it that way...I am just not sure because the Tab is not rooted & i would like to keep this one that way...
Thanks...Appreciate the help
You don't need to be rooted to side load apps. You can do it via any file manager by simply tapping the apk file, or if you download it in the browser you just tap the download notification when it is done and it will install it.
