What CherryBlur version (or rather what's the base version you are on, 2.34, 1.83?)

Just flash 1.26 and OTA upto 1.83.

You don't know if he at some point already did update.zip to OTA 2.34. If so, flashing 1.26 SBF would = hard brick.
Anyways, to follow on jimmer's point, I'd suggest flashing the imgs in FruitCake that samcripp posted...

JVK Bootloader update

Is it worth it to install JVK just for the bootloader update? How is it any different from JV1 bootloader? Can I install it from any CWM package? Currently on MIUI ROM..
C'mon guys... some input on this?? Bump.
JVK bootloader update is same as the JV1 one. If you already have that, you don't need to update the bootloader
with the new GB bootloader what changes? i'm hesitant to flash because i don't understand what a new bootloader means (i know that flashing it is dangerous but i've never had any usb issues when flashing a rom).
can i still go back to 2.2.1 if i update the bootloader? anything else to know?

JV1 -> 2.3.2
JVK -> 2.3.3
So are you sure about that? I had flashed JV1 previously... so the JVK brings no update?

The new bootloader stops the screen corruption (rainbow screen) you'd get on booting a GB ROM without the new bootloaders
Alright, thanks!
wait what?
jv1 and jvk contains same bootloader files?
what about the boot animation. why it is so choppy
(i flashed the no_bootloader_version)
and sorry for a bit offtop
Jvk sbl.is different to jv1, although the boot.bin is the same

[RUU] Rooted release stock ruu (For those reverting from leak)

For those wanting to revert from the leaked RUU, you can use this.
http://www.multiupload.com/Y9LP6S6WSP
Firmware: 1.12.605.6
Radio: 1.16.00.0223
31478f109a56be3eb7068d97a7e9b11b PG05IMG_stock.zip
Check md5sum, rename as PG05IMG.zip and flash through the bootloader.
You will keep s-off, root, update to newest (as of today) clockwork recovery and restore the rest to factory settings. Will wipe your phone.
Some people are reporting random reboots on the newest leak RUU, so it may be a trade of. Better battery, or less random reboots.
Thanks Jcase, been looking for this.

I'm not rooted and want to stay that way. If I use this to revert to the original stock thunderbolt Rom will it be a stock unrooted version? And do I flash this like I flashed the unrooted RUU? If that isn't he case could you post a RUU that would be unrooted and signed so I can flash it. I woils appreciate this a lot
Thank you! I had my nandroid backup, but this is peace of mind.
Just to be clear, flashing this (from recovery, right?) will downgrade the radio and reinstall stock ROM but keep root?
Curious, if I flash an older back up in CWM with the older radio, does this replace the new radio, or must I still reflash the old radio?

if you are unrooted, then this rom is not for you I believe, you need original signed version of this rom that is somewhere in this forum. You need the 605.6 ruu that is signed and untouched. To flash this you have to have s-off already and be rooted as far as I know.
There is a obligatory radio thread that has just the older radio if you just wanna go back to the radio. But the RUU you flash in bootloader is the total package radio+software.

So, I have the original signed ruu... .but can't use it to revert, I get:
"Main version is older!
Update Fail!
Press <POWER> to reboot."
How do I get around this and go back to stock for an unrooted phone?
Will this put hboot back on my phone?

I admit I was a bit too hurry on this post.
For I9020T/I9023?
I agree, really need to post what version it's for... I've seen some people reporting bricks lately because they got trigger happy and flashed the update without making sure it was compatible with their model.

I can confirm it works on I9020T
I went from CM9 Kang to this with just a wipe and everything is working as expected
Please
Can someone verify the OTA
2.3.6 => 4.0.3 OTA has network registering issues in my country
It takes 2 minutes to find and register on a network after boot when EDGE only on
May be this will help the issue

Current version is 2.3.7 Oxygen ROM.
So I just copy it into the sdcard, boot into recovery, wipe, flash this ROM and done?

[Q] Root Italian Retail SBF BL7

I had to flash this SBF:
DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134_DFP-231_BLUR_SIGN_USADEFYEMARAB1B8RTIT008.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNGIBRRTIT_P018_A020_M002_Service1FF
and my phone finally booted again after the power off while flashing CM10.1
Now I want to root it and flash CM10.1 again. The first time I had BL6 so it rooted without problems, but of course SuperOneClick didn't work for BL7.
Links in this rooting guide are broken and I can't go back to BL6 so I'm stuck with no root
Is it possible to root my phone again?
