Sap.img on a Vodafone magic

Hey guys,
Just trying to root a vodafone uk magic 32b and i was wondering if its safe to use the American sap.img on it or not?
quick response would be lovely ta even if its just a yes or no. Though an explanation and how to do it with a no would be cool.

Try Cyanogen's non-magic rooting.

I rooted my vodafone magic as well so it should work

[Q] Does anyone know what this means?

And how to fix it!?
Basically for the last two days I have been trying to root my phone unsuccessfully. The problem is with the hboot driver and it not working. The first time i installed the driver it seemed to go fine, but after plugging my Wildfire into the usb I got a new hardware message and it was trying to find "ADB"..
Anyways unrevoked obviously did not find my phone so today I have uninstalled the driver and tried to update it again. At first it seemed to be going well, but then it asked for winusbcoinstaller.dll from disc.. I tried to link a picture but because of my low post count I cant.
Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it?
Many thanks in advance and sorry if its in the wrong section.

Yes, you are. The downgrade guide is valid only for the CN Froyo Release, which had a HBOOT version 0.83

Bootloader Unlock Support from HTC DEV

Hey-
HTCDev just released a bootloader unlock tool expansion to the wildfire. Hopefully this will help some with rooting etc., and can only be a good thing.
Only good things can come from this!
Re
HTC Wildfire in supported list it is not Buzz
strongly not recommended download and flash bootloader.
Please get your information correct. Both the HTC Wildfire and HTC Wildfire S are listed.
I confirm that HTC Buzz is in list but i don't understand about the RUU before the first step...
Where i can find a RUU for the wildfire?
My Wildfire hasn't branded and they say:
BEFORE beginning the Unlock Bootloader process your product requires that you update the ROM to the version listed in the table below first, then download the RUU next to it to enable the unlocking capability.

I'm confused... what link in the table i must grab?

---------- Post added at 11:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:29 PM ----------

help..!!
I'm from INDIA dont know which carrier my htc wildfire has...so dont know which carrier to select to upgrade the RUU....which is th first step to unlock plzzz help..!!!
Yeah I have this problem too, Vodafone isn't on the list... what do I do?
htc wildfire
has anyone try to root the phone by follow the htcdev tools yet ?
I'm wondering if it can also unlock HBOOT 1.01.0002? Anyone has tried? I really want to root my brothers phone. If only it's as easy unlocking like the Desire S.
If you don't want to risk anything with going the HTC way, check my guide, all the files are provided. The guide also tells people how to root with the new HBOOT.

Would you mind uploading it somewhere so some more experienced users could take a look at it, from what I've read on the HTC dev site I think I'd rather use the revolutionary method still.

I tried to follow the procedure skipping the preliminary step where they speak the RUU, but the command in step eight (flashboot oem ...) always error.
What do you mean? The file I downloaded? It's usaff27 tutorial and link is on his sig.

Oh. About that, it's actually on htcdev site. It's the device wildfire added on the list.

I think that the RUU in HCTdev page are only for CDMA version. We must wait for the gsm version.
guys, for the unlocked Wildfire and some other carriers like Vodafone UK is up now. The unlocked version I think is HTC WWE.

use this one RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.14.405.2_R_Radio_13.45.55.24_3. 35.15.31_release_130814_signed.exe heres the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275680
I unlocked a Wildfire using these instruction. In order to root I think I have to flash a prerooted ROM with adb now right? How do I do that?

Unable to restore stock RUU

Hi I have a friend who has a T-Mobile UK Desire HD running custom ARHD with S-OFF and ENG HBOOT.
He's trying to restore to stock T-Mobile UK ROM (RUU_Ace_TMO_UK_1.75.110.2_R_Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2_SF_release_163304_signed.exe) but it says phone not found.
EDIT: Rebooted the phone a few times, it now recognises it. However, it says it's the wrong RUU. I'm guessing it's because it's got SuperCID? Will the CID just need to be changed to the original and will it just work then?
any chance i could get the link for that RUU please mate?
sorry i'm not very helpful!

Done something very stupid....

Hi all,
I got my HTC One back from Vodafone repair centre with a note stating, that due to the time and expense of fixing the problem (raised glass screen) they have sent me another phone. To my delight when I checked the hboot and rom version, I saw it was hboot 1.44 and ROM 4.1.1........... S-OFF here I come............. ...
I nipped out for a couple of hours and when I came back without thinking applied the bloody updates from OTA which updated the hboot to 1.54 and JB 4.2.2 :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:
What a Idiot I am...........................:silly: :silly: :silly: :silly: :silly: :silly: :silly:

I ran my One totally unrooted, locked and stock until revone came along for about 3 months and still running a pretty close to stock rom. I think the One is one of the few devices which is great just running stock, so enjoy it while you wait for another s-off exploit...

Beaups said that the hboot was never "the" problem, hinting there's something else at play.
