Sense port? Whats up.

I heard about the sense port and even saw it up and running. I really want sense and tmobile doesn't even have a regular running sense UI on a phone. The closest thing is the mytouch 4g or the slide with expresso. I am actually trying to trade my vibrant for a g2 because u can port sense onto that. I really want it. Any word y'all?

Don't see it. The only topic I see has been closed since november. I wanted to know if there was new info or if its complete non story now.

on the i9000 forums theres an alpha build of sense out. a lot of things broken and its very glitchy though

If you are talking about the team I think you are, they said they are waiting for official froyo to do it..

Once official froyo source drops. Things will go more smoothly.. its amazing that our devs here have made the progress they have given the lack of necessity available.

I was just about to make a thread asking about the development of this Galaxy Sense we heard about last month.

With launcher pro a custom dock and beautiful widgets you can make your homescreens look just like the sense ui if you want it for the ascetics or as a placeholder til it gets ported

Hero/evo/epic I ran cm6 on both htc devices. I rather have a pure aosp. I don't like none of the manufacturers gui's.

The Hero was the first android phone I ever owned, I loved sense on it because there were so many ways to customize it to my liking, tw just sucks, I want to go back to the evo so I can go back to the sense + froyo + CM6, but the epic's keyboard and excellent performance are keeping me here

Yeah I know alot of people like it pure google.
but to me it just isnt appealing or as functional.
the hero was my first android device so I did get spoiled
with htc sense. Just to my likings that it brought a better
experience and refresh to the Android interface. Widgets and apps.
I prefer it over TW. There are just a few things I prefer TW
over sense per say.

I think the rom was released and then discontinued for the galaxy s i9000 due to the devs having muliple issues that they were not able to resolve. Link to post --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877902

The only thing I ever liked about Sense UI were the widgets and the Weather effects.
With LauncherPro, you can get pretty much identical widgets, and then Beautiful Widgets will give you the same look of the clock widget. Plus, LauncherPro is infinitely customizable and you can do pretty much anything with it....
Sense UI has always been extremely laggy and slow in all the times I've used it, as a ROM port on my Nexus, and also stock on the Evo/Hero.
Wouldn't mind trying it out again on my Epic though!

The older version of fancy widget is also a wonderful alternative to the sense clock/weather widget.

instead of flaming touchwiz like the people above me, i thank you for the effort. A few people on this forum have tried (and failed if i might add at porting touchwiz).
I have tried and reached an audio source error
Option94 has tried and was unsuccessful also.
I personally dont know how to get the rom working but ask option as he might be able to help. If you want my files, i can send them over

whoa whoa whoa i never flamed anyone. I think touchwiz would be a good option. It's more meat than AOSP but not a bloated ROM like Sense....

Request: new sidekick 4g rom for evo

If anyone else would enjoy it I would love to see a new sidekick rom for the evo. Or maybe just the lockscreen. I personally know nothing about porting and compiling roms. Thanks in advance for any devs that read this and Fu** any trolls out there that don't like the idea

I think the only way to do it is for someone to make a sidekick theme. I don't think the ROM could be ported.

I really just like the lockscreen. The rest of the rom reminds me of a tweaked motoblur. And that's no bueno. But even just a theme or even a widget locker skin would be fine for me

Have you tried widget locker? It's a replacement lock screen app with tons of themes. It has it's own thread in the themes and apps section of Android development and hacking.

Razr Launcher

Hi guys
Someone shared a copy of the Moto RAZR launcher.
I installed it, looks awesome but needs a bit of tweaking.
Not sure if one can modify it to work 100% with the Atrix, but it basically gives you the original Motorola ICS feel?

Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't look all that different from Apex or Nova.

It didn't install on GB 2.3.4 stock rom.

Looks like this is only for Motoblur ROMs.

I like to have the GB razr blur launcher, if possible

I really wonder what take them so long to bring ICS to any of their device since they don't even theme it that much. All the icons are stock ICS !
