hey guys ive been looking for the past 3 days im hoping i can get some help. so my girlfriends brother got a x10 and it got stuck on the sony ericsson screen. he then asked a sony rep what to do, the rep said oh yeah just re flash it. so he tried not really experianced in this sort of stuff. he then i guess tried to flash lol now the phone doesnt do anything it just has that green light on top right. now im used to using the windows roms an such not that experianced with andriod nor this device. so this is why i finally broke in an decided to ask.. lol thanks in advance
I'd just go to Sony Ericsson's website, download the updater and run it. Should reimage the phone back to what it's supposed to be.
tried that. it says phone is up to date

even if it says up to date click on install it will repair the phone.
just gives me the Exit option is there a diffrent tool? other then Seus?
looks like it's stuck on Flash screen. Same thing happens after you remove the battery and re-place?
If so, I suggest you go through the Root process as provided here on XDA. That will load an image for you at least, then you can either 'Keep it rooted' (RECOMMENDED) or just reflash a stock image for X10 (a or i) whichever one you got.
that whole root process i tried that. and everytime i try it fails. i will try again tho. and how do i know what version i have??
It should mention it there where your looking at root. btw we may be able to help if you could tell us the error?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App

Try using SE PC Companion
Try go to SE website, download the updater *not PC companion*
and go from there.
He already tried the updater. Updater = SEUS.
Now try PC Companion
just out of curiosity anyone able to pull 3g network on AT&T?
and that PC Companion didnt work
it wouldnt let me connect. cuz the phone is stuck in flash mode? im assuming nothing comes on the screen besides an green light top right;
Last i can think of is Omnius. Its a free Sony Ericsson flasher.
When that happened to me I was still able to use SEUS.. Even when it says I already have the latest firmware it still gives me the option to reinstall
omnius is what messed it up to begin with. haha maybe he tried to flash the wrong firmware? im not sure. can you link me to correct way to use omnius?
A quick write up for using Omnius.
Download these files:
Omnius ZIP 1
Omnius ZIP 2
R2BA023 ROOT
Then go to www.omnius-server.com, register, download omnius and activate account.
Connect Data cable to phone only (switched off) and run omnius.
In omnius settings -> server settings enter username and password
In phonetype drop down list select x10
Hit the flash button (looks like lightning)
In the next prompt select R1FA016_APP_SW_RACHAEL_GENERIC_1227_4612_S1_SW_LIVE_AC12_0001_S1_PARTITION.zip as the 1st file and R7A_R1FA016_FSP_X10i_GENERICGLOBAL_GGL_GENERIC_1232_9897_S1_SW_LIVE_AC12_0001_S1_PARTITION_WITH_SPARE.zip as the second file.
Press ok and hold the back button on phone whilst connecting phone to laptop/pc
Wait till its finished flashing.
OPTIONAL:
Boot phone up and go to applications -> tick unknown sources then select development and select debugging mode.
Extract R2BA023-RooT.rar and run step 2 then step 3.
P.S do not restore previous systems settings but its ok to restore phonebook, sms, mms and call log.
Good Luck
Regards
that 2nd file, isnt complete. it wont download as a .zip any place i can go to get the file.
i got the zip working. well this is the deal i tried omnius again an it didnt work. the phone is still stuck in flash mode. i still cant figure out the root process. is there anyway to hard reset from device? i cant seem to find that anywhere to get it out of flash mode.
Try removing the battery for 5 mins re-inserting...then...
Just after you have selected the zip files in Omnius and pressed ok... hold both menu key and back key simultaneously and see if that works.
Hi guys,,, just bought myself a X10i to play with,,, figured I,ve flash the thing with a rom from the developers forum,
This is where I came unstuck,,,, cant for the life of me get it into flash mode.
Instructions were as follows
1 With fone OFF. Hold down back button and insert usb cable, green light comes on and hit enter. What bloody enter, on the fone or on your keyboard. I,ve tried both, fone just keeps on booting into the main screen, nothing even resembles a flash mode screen. Tried this untill my thumb nearly bled.
Someone help please.
Read the tuts in the dev forum. P.S. no custom roms yet but there is root.

Try hold down "back button" without battery then insert USB cable and then insert battery.
When it says to hit enter, that is to continue from the screen (on the PC) that says "press any key to continue" when you are doing the steps for rooting. If you don't have that window ready the phone will only stay in flash mode for about 5 seconds and then it will continue to boot. So, just make sure you are ready with the PC before entering flash mode.

check drivers (install SE PC suite and let it atleast detect the phone once in FLASH mode)...
also it might help to disable any antivirus (worked for me)
cannot enter the flash mode
Hi,
I know this post is pretty old, but still I'm struglig the second day now to get into flash mode and still no luck despite trying every method there is on the web.
I've got Xperia X10i mini pro, reinstalled standard ROM with PC companion just to make sure it's nothing with the software or any modifications I made to it.
I'm guiding myself with instruction given here:
wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_Xperia_Mini_Pro:_Full_Update_Guide
in order to get my bootloader unlocked
what I've done so far:
-installed Android SDK incl. SDK Tools, SDK Platform-tools, Google USB driver package. Not installed any API from SDK.
-put android_winusb.inf (18 KB size) in C:\android-sdk-windows\extras\google\usb_driver
-in general- everyting given here: wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Howto:_Install_the_Android_SDK#Windows
command
Code:
adb devices
rerurns
Code:
List of devices attached
43423531315537465737 device
in my opinion meaning it works as it should.
So I turn the phone off, unplug the cable both from computer and the phone, take the abttery out, plug both end of USB cable where these should be, hold the Back button (tried with Volume up too) and put the battery in.
The result is it only goes into flash mode for several seconds (confirmed by SuperOneClisk log) and then goes into charging mode. nothing gets displayed on the screen. Only when PC Companion is on it detects it, than looses it and pops up with a window on how to properly connect the device... :/
So can someone please tell me what I do wrong?
Why it doesn't stay in flash mode?
PS. when I enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu, after pressing the last * the numbers just disappear and nothing happens...
Pls help
Edit:
I somehow got around that with s1tool and Flashtool. But eventually I could not go along the way given at cyanogenmod.com and unlocked with the help of this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
Good day/evening/night
i have this LG L5 from my coworker, she said she couldn't use Facebook on it and gave it to me to fix it...as i unlocked it i realised it had a password so i deleted it via hard reset, once the phone rebooted it worked perfectly but i couldn't pass trough the initial configuration because i had the error: "the process google.process.gapps..." bla bla bla doesn't work and the OK option only ,can't get trough of it and if i can pass it ,it sends me to the "HOME" i guess but it's black and all i have is the nav bar up in there with the clock ,battery and wifi working ,i can't do absolutely nothing, tried to forced install another firmware with the LG TOOL thing but realised my computer doesn't detect it ,even though i have the drivers installed, ¿Can anyone help with this problem? please. it's driving me crazy! :crying:
any help or idea would be totally appreciated.

Try doing emergency mode: remove battery, press and hold volume up (+) , connect to your pc using usb cable. Then, immediately reinsert your battery. Hopefully this will help your device to be detected, then install appropriate "usb driver" in lg mobile support tool.

Hello my wonderful people.
I've broke my Note 4 and no amount of me looking at stuff online is helping me.
Can anyone please advise me what to do?
I was trying to be clever and put a different O/S on and now it's just stuck on a black error screen
Please help me
Open the back cover and write down the serial number - it's located under the battery. Write it down.
Install Smart Switch from Samsung on your PC.
Install Samsung drivers.
Go in download mode - volume down+power+home , then connect the phone to the PC.
Then on the Smart switch go the "More" and hit the "Emergency recovery bla bla".
It will ask you to insert the phone type, bla bla and serial number.
Then it will flash the original firmware.
