1) A Chinese developer had cracked the multi-touch limit on A4G, And anyone can tell me if it works well or not? It's said that cracked A4G will support 10-point!
2) As someone said, the TFT screen with Pentile on Atrix 4G will be a TruelyFeelingTerrible one, and I want to know that if it's better than my tombstone2's......(what? the correct name of my phone is milestone2? I don't think so! )
3) Also there's someone said that, when you are touching its screen, the area that reacts will be at about 0.5 inches below your touching area, is that true?
I'm going to buy one, if there's other problem existing, please tell me~ Thanks a lot!

Navalynt's Cherryblur rom supposedly adds the 10-point support. Not sure what you're going to do with it, though.
Own in fruit ninja obviously!
I'm no expert, by any means, but I can tell you that in using the paid gb keyboard from the market (it's handy for resizing keys for bigger fingers) and running navalynt's beautiful cherry over KP'S gb 4.5 the typing is very noticeably faster and more responsive.

dunno. My wife has a G2 and i use the on screen keyboard way more then i use the Physical Keyboard. i guess it depends on the person.
G2 keyboard is not so great. But in pictures the slide keyboard looks much better but I still think the g1 keyboard will trump it.

I too used to only go for qwerty keyboards, but since having this mt4g i have came to appreciate smart keyboard pro. It's very accurate and well space on screen keyboard. I don't think theres too many other keyboards that could better the g1's 5 row. Bigger screens and there touch keyboards are the way to go.

same here, waiting for the quads to come out. the MT4G is already a beast and could hold me off another 2 years IF needed lol
Like everyone else, I'm waitin till quad cores, don't know what they'll come up with that requires that kind of power but still...
Exactly. The MT4G is not a G1, it handles everything flawlessly. Don't know why everyone wants to upgrade right away as each new phone comes out. If you have the cash to drop then by all means upgrade, nothing lags on the MT4G and I don't see anything really challenging the phone for another year and a half. So I'll be good.
im stuck in the fence between the MT4G Slide and the HTC Sensation, thing about the Slide is the fact that the HTC Sense 3.0 is like cut off from features found in the Sensation..moreover you only get 5 home-screens; but then i need a keyboard to text much faster... -__-
and the HTC Touch Pro 2 has the best physical keyboard...jus saying

If you need a keyboard then go with the Slide. I'm sure you can expand the home screen on the Slide to 7 just like the stock MT4G ROM. Once S is OFF on the slide then I'm sure you can install the stock Sense 3.0 on it once it has been ported.
Plus you get the bomb ass camera on the Slide.

Well comparing it to the evo3d it basically has better specs plus hw acceleration which is a very nice feature. The screen is awesome imo, tho some people don't seem to like the oversaturated colours. Personally i love it but you have to check it yourself before you decide.
Anyway i wouldn't upgrade right now if i were you, you still have a very good phone, just wait for something newer and better, like the quadcores expected to come out in 2012

If this phone had IOS instead of Android id sell it, IOS is nowhere near as good as Android, everything works out of the box but your strictly limited in what you can do,i hate restriction.
Best phone right now without a doubt, having owned it since May it's been excellent! Pervious Android device was the DHD, it's faster, smoother and slicker!

Fastest android phone out there, but build quality could be better.
tbh the only phone that could probably knock the sgs2 off it's perch is the motorola atrix.. bigger battery and tegra 2, but then i've never used one so i have no idea about user experience.
Hello My very post here. Best phone I ever owned. it would have been perfect if it was a tegra Device can't see why they did that for a flagship Device !!!!
You will miss sense. Htc phones have better dialer, more useful widgets, like for example favorite contacts and rss reader, better sms delivery report, lockscreen and ringtone volume management. On other side Sgs2 has better multimedia support (mkv) better screen and weight, brilliant call quality and its very smooth in menus.

I love the My touch 4G to death, but my wife doesn't seem to like it much. So, I'm need to find something to replace hers. Her's is being used unlocked on AT&t. So, does anyone have any suggestions? On eBay I can sell it for $200-240 so, i'd like to sell it and buy a replacement. It needs to be GSM (AT&T or T-Mobile phones are fine), in my price range and have similar specs. I have really can't think of anything. She hates it so bad she's using her old Samsung Magnet until I find her something :/ lol

She can't make text messaging signature and it doesn't have a keyboard :/
I've already talked to her..... There is no reasoning.
I've never heard of a text messaging signature before.
Good to know about the other thing, though. So the only requirement is a hard keyboard?
Stick with the my touch..
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
For the text message signature she could try using Go SMS Pro in the market.
The only gsm android phone I can think of with a keyboard is the G2. I've used it in the past though and found it to be slightly slower than the MyTouch due to the smaller ram and lower processor speed. I agree that she should stick with the MyTouch.

if she wants to have a physical keyboard then your gonna have to switch phones, id say go for the mytouch 4g slide just cuz it would be a more familiar platform and cuz the g2 would be a downgrade in hardware
Hard to imagine not liking the phone over those two reasons. Swype is so much better and faster than conventional texting. And as for the signature, I'm not rooted and I use GO SMS. As already mentioned, it has the option to add a signature. Plus it's much better than the stock text. JMO. Each to their own I guess.
After a solid year with my MT4G (which I am still in love with...) I just bought the GSII
Have to say so far, this phone's bad ass.

4. USB drive connecting ability allow you too much flexibility. This may force you to even carry a mouse everywhere with you just for doing something requiring such high precision on the Note.
5. It may waste lots of your times playing high-end HD games due to its too much CPU power.

To the OP: Do read all the stickies as somebody already said. Flashing is NOT hard on the note, it just requires you to know what you are doing; once you read all the stickies carefully and thoroughly, am quite sure you would know what to flash, what not to and how to flash. Cheers!

Is it too different than flashing other phones?

the principal is the same yes, But however there is a major bug in the stock ICS kernel(s) can that cause hardbrick (brickbug) when doing a factory reset.
So long as you flash a safe kernel before hand you will be fine, Just read the guides and if you have any issues / questions, dont be afraid to ask.
Also check my Signature for real time IRC chat.
It's confirmed. Will get mine today after work. Got it for about 400 dollars, on my carrier points program.
The only problem I may have will be with kernels?

There's some stickys in development section:
Dr ketans to do with flashing stock roms, and a separate one for rooting and installing cwm.
Another on the superbrick or emmc bug affecting most ics kernels. Includes information on safe kernels that have had emmc format bug removed.
Those are the main ones to get you started.

Paranoid on this beast is awesome. If you go for paranoid, I'd recommend using v0.2a rather than 0.3, there's a couple of issues with gps and mms on 0.3. Imilka (the dev has said he's working on an update and he's usually pretty sharpish so think 0.4 will be out v soon.

My note is Thailand version. There's nothing to be worried as long as you're not running yourself into hacking stuffs though I did once and even I did the famous frightening FactoryReset! when I was on Rooted Stock ICS after stuck in booting loops because of playing with VM Heap size tweak (set it below 64m will trigger this, so be careful).
I survive the night and day because of lots sharing in this forum. I learned how to do flashing ROM with Odin and other fearful stuffs I've never even though I would have need to get through it.
So, I recommend you just try using it, as it is first since pre-installed ICS may have something different, with 3 to 5 days/full recharge cycles and then let see any of what will be bothering you.
To have 14+ hours battery life on my Note with normal use (3G/Wifi all times, note taking, Facebook..etc..and of course the XDA app) running stock ICS, I did;
- Rooted
- Battery calibration
- SetCPU profiles
- Leave the SD Card slot empty
- Off auto screen brightness
- Manually control screen brightness, 30% to minimum values are good enough to my eyes
- OFF auto Hovering pen icon (ON only when I really need)
- OFF Screen Capture service (ON only when I really need)
- Freeze un-needed services
It's hard to identify which tweak saves how much % battery life, there are just cumulative tricks from my little experience. Lots of last tweaks are done by TB.

Well, this is it.
Is it worth trade? I was thinking about use the webtop and try to buy a vehicle dock and lapdock for a better use of the phone... But seeing on another way I have an ipad 3 and its better than the docks for Atrix, I can just plug my iPad via hdmi on my TV and I get a better "webtop".
But I still getting it on my head, is it really worth? Maybe is just excitement now with the docks that Atrix have.

So you think better keep my LG? Because it have the hdmi function as well, only not the webtop, but I really dont think it is that better when compare with my Ipad 3.
Hmm...not so sure. One thing that its actually better on the Atrix is the development support. Last time i checked when i was looking to root and update my friend's O3D, the development was kind of dead at the moment. Not so sure how it is now, but it usually slows down with time, so my guess its that it must be kind of dead right now. Atrix's development is not the best one, but its great. And the community here is great. If you are OK with not receiving official ICS, i would do the trade.
I would look for something better though. Maybe a Galaxy Nexus if you can find a deal for it.

A ton of apps do require ICS and JB and we're pretty stuck; Don't want to sound desperate or pessimistic, but even my P1 runs on JB by now - so I wouldn't swap if I were you.

LG Optimus 3D won't gonna get any ICS it appears... And the Atrix can use JB from custom roms right? So it won't be stuck forever.
If it was me I'd do the trade but I think you should look at other phones too maybe ones with ICS and JB support. But you should also look how active the development is. Luckily us atrix users have great developers

I don't have any other options, and for me... I use my phone to SMS, calls and a little bit web search, but I use alot the HDMI feature to see some movies on my girlfriend's house, so webtop would be cool too.
If I can upgrade, even from custom roms to JB or ICS Im going to be happy anyway, I dont need a powerful smartphone, only one which dont freezes and lags when im texting or awnsering an call like my old Moto Milestone (hate it).
Atrix can do all of them things perfectly and webtop on ICS is looking promising. Or you can use tablet ui which is quite good. If you have no other choice I'd recommend the atrix I'm running epinters latest CM10 build, the battery is great and it is a great daily driver would highly recommend that.

i have just gone from evo 3d to atrix 4g, my opinion the atrix is better ,great phone
It is just not funny to have more workarounds than features due to nvidia and Motorola
And also the lapdock is so useful, I can even plug my PC on it and use.
Atrix is really a good deal, Im going to make it if my friend still wants.

Lies. The ICS leak has semi-good drivers and FP support.
I also think that the Atrix is a better phone. Only issue with it is that the Atrix tends to damage the digitizer by itself. It happens suddenly. One day you are using your phone normally, 100% ok, and the next one you have a dead strip on your digitizer with no response at all. Look that issue up before you make the trade.
