I am new to android. Please help me rewrite software or do not know them, but I want to go phone again.
Thank you in advance

Follow this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1130044

I followed exactly all the steps that, after that I wanted to put another room and now my phone only goes, do not understand? only opens in the boot menu
The phone no longer can open to enter the phone menu

Okay so what I'm getting from your post is that your phone only boots into HBOOT?
If so, do you have any options below such as Fastboot, Recovery,...?

I fastboot,recovery,clear storage and simlock
If you press the power on loading hboot I write something and it says no image or wrong image

if you get into recovery clockworkmod recovery v3.0.0.6 i have the following options:
- reboot system now
- apply update from sdcard
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
- install zip from sdcard
- backup and restore
- mounts and sorage
- advanced
- power off

Place the Cyanogenmod 7 ROM ZIP file on your SD Card. Then in Recovery, Select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset". (Use Trackpad to select in Recovery, not the Power Key). Confirm it by saying Yes.
Then select "Install Zip from SDCard", and select the Cyanogenmod 7 ROM Zip file on your SD Card. It will install the ROM, and after install, select "Reboot System Now". It will boot into your new ROM installation.

I tried to put the original rum Froyo 2.2.1
r1-update-modacocustomrom-froyo-buzz-withadditions-signed.zip
and look what my friend writes:

Total Solution for Flashing

Hi Forumers,
I'm newly join the Android group previously from WM & iOS4
I read through all the threads regarding on the flashing....
But can't get it into my brain..
Too many combination need to apply in-order to flash the rom.
I really need a clear instruction before proceed the rom flash.
Referring to 1 of the most popular rom LeeDrOiD HD v1.2
In my mind now:..
1. Download the LeeDrOiD HD v1.2 rom
2. Download 2.5.1.2 r1 ClockworkMod Recovery for Desire HD. (what's the use of this software and when to use it)
3. Download fastboot (This software is the combination of the ClockworkMod Recovery)
Should i include this 2 software into the flash stage?
What is the purpose of proceeding this 2 software or is just a recovery system software?
4. Drop the ROM zip on your SD
5. Boot into recovery (volume down + Power)
6. Run a NANDROID backup.....(Is this a backup software on the stock rom?)
7. A full wipe/factory reset is optional at this point.
8. Select "Install zip from sdcard"
9. Select "choose zip fom sdcard"
10. Select "LeeDrOiD_HD_VX.X.zip
11. Wait for flashing to complete
12. Reboot........
Hello. There is many steps the 1st time so it can be confusing.
Have you rooted your phone yet?
Clockwork mod is the software you need to be able to flash your roms. If you get rom manager from the market it can now install clockwork for you.
Fastboot allows you to gain access to your phone from the pc. It lets you run commands and push/pull packages to and from your phone.
The nandroid backup allows you to take an image of your phone so you can recover it if something goes wrong.
Your best bet is to follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857444 then install rom manager flash clockworkmod from there. Run the backup and then install your rom.
Hello jonkers71,
Just to find out with you....
Should i refer to this thread on the rooting?

Download Unrevoked 3.21 and root it...
unrevoked doesen`t work with Desire HD
HEY! I finally see Another Malaysian in this thread. I'm so glad =)
As for flashing, i followed this:
How to flash?
1. Make a backup of your data like contacts, calendar events, sms, bookmarks, etc..
2. Download ROM and WIPING TOOL and put both to your SD card
3. Start your device in recovery mode
4. In recovery mode, go to "mounts and storage" and select: format boot, format system, format data (optionally), format cache.
At the end you can also select wipe data/factory reset (optionally) and wipe cache partition (just to make sure everything is wiped)
I also recommend doing "wipe battery stats" under "advanced" section.
5. Select "Install zip from sdcard"
6. Select "choose zip fom sdcard" & select FULL-WIPE-1.2.zip and when it's finished, do the same with ROM.

Yes the process is quite compoicated, by then you are about to strip HTC's security from your device
You really need to read one of the rooting threads from the beginning before you proceed, but in essence what you need to do is
Root with visionary
apply h-boot s-off ( possibly radio s-off)
install rom manager and throught this clockwork recovery
choose and download your chosen ROM
choose to install rom from within rom manager
make sure to select wipe and backup options when offered
enjoy
It is beyond a single post to go into the detail required so please read and understand the required threads for all the stages before proceeding, it will save a lit of heartbreak in the long run
it was clear for me, even if i had no real android experience
like you i came from iOS...
ok my girlfriend had an SGS since 4 months, but SGS flashing was with odin (at least the first flashs)
but for the desire hd you need to
1: turn the HBOOT to S-OFF (not necessary, but better)
2: change the superCID value (not necessary, but better)
3: root your phone with visionary+
4: install rommanager from market (so you can install clockworkmod easyly)
5: reboot into clockworkmod and install the rom zip
What part is complicated? I will see if I can help you out.
I think currently the thread I posted is the best way to do it but I think I have seen a one click solution on here as well.

Today.....I learn a lesson on how to flash Android rom..
Finally i manage to flash the android rom.

[Q] Radio update - rebooted to static picture

Hi
I have recently had my HTC Wildfire rooted after the fantastic AlpharevX contribution.
I've played around with different ROMs, and since I experienced problems with GPS in CM 7.1 RC1, I decided to go for a Radio update.
I have CWM recovery 3.2.0.0, which according to this general Wildfire thread is not compatible with flashing the current radio versions.
I therefore downloaded the Radio zip-file, copied it to my SD root dir and started ROM Manager and selected update ROM from SD card.
I checked "Backup current ROM" and "Wipe Dalvik cache" and pressed OK to the different dialog boxes.
It then rebooted to a black screen with the little green Android and a warning sign with an exclamation mark in it.
It has just stayed there for more than 10 minutes now.
I read somewhere that flashing radio can be riscy, and also that one must have patience and not interrupt anything. Therefore I haven't dared touching it without seeking advice...
What should I do? Am I supposed to press anything to continue, or should I try to turn it off (either using power button or by battery removal)?
Kind regards, Martin
UPDATE: I lost patience and decided to click on the different buttons. By clicking the power button, it displayed that I had entered CWM Recovery 3.2.0.0 and the log states:
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E: failed to seek in /cache/update.zip (Invalid argument)
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
I have just rebooted for now... Is it somehow possible to have two different CWM Recovery versions installed, such that I can boot directly into 3.2.0.0 and maybe enter 2.5.x.x. from ROM Manager?
you must flash clockworkmod recovery in rom manager then click run in recovery mode (second option) in rom manager then phone will reboot and got temporary CWM 2.5.0.7 and you can flash radio in this version

Thanks a lot...
I just updated the radio.
Now I also now how to flash Froyo custom ROMS. CWM 3.2 only allowed me to flash Gingerbread ROMs.
moderator pls close thread problem solved
Hi since we are at it, I also have a question about radios...
My Bluetooth used to work just fine on my htc stock ROM before switching to CM 7.0.3, I could both send and receive files from my mac.... well the thing is I can only receive them now, I can't get my wildfire to send anything to my mac! (already tried the app from the market, I think it's called Bluetooth File Transfer)
Anyway do you think a radio upgrade or in my case downgrade could fix this? I currently have 13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10.

[q] cm7 to jokersdroid4.2 how to??

Please Help me out!
Keep your CM running, and open "rom manager" app. Select "install new rom", select JD zip, make sure to keep selected "wipe data/factory reset" and it will go.
Please do some search before creating threads.
There will be 2types of scripting in creating flashable zips. One is the older amend and other is edify. Some roms need amend and some need edify. The recovery 2.x can flash amend files only whereas recovery 3.x and + can flash edify files only.
So you need to shift between recoveries according to that need. Best way is to flash 2.x recovery (select "flash recovery") from rom manager which creates update.zip in root of your sdcard. Just reboot to your current 3.x + recovery and first flash the update.zip file like any other Rom. It gives you 2.x recovery which can flash your amend files.

sorry bharat for me starting a new thread.. But I was completely lost on how do I overcome this! I was also thinking about the similar solution but I wasnt exactly sure on how to push lower ver. recovery through fastboot usb... Your reply did the thing
ROM manager and clockwork recovery combination is a powerful tool... bharatgaddameedi already said what I typed for the last 5 minutes....
DELETE !!!
Note to self : Read all answers before typing a reply
Don't forget to backup your cm7 using rom manager first. You can then restore cm7 later on if you desire without the need to switch back to clockworkmod 3

Installing ROM error, what am I doing wrong?

Hey,
I recently rooted my phone GS2 and wanted to install the CyanodenMod 7.1.0, but I keep getting an error every time I try install via Rom manager, Btw this is my first time doing this, I have read lots from sites and forums but just don't get what is going wrong, This is what I do:
- Download ROM Manager
- Click "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" and it does that successfully
- Click "Download ROM" and select "CyanogenMod" it download fine and then click "Wipe Data and Cache" & "Wipe Dalvik Cache". I have also done the same thing but using the option from SD Card.
- My phone restarts and boots into the standard recovery and give this error:
"--Installing Package...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted."
- Then I just click "reboot system now" since it didn't work and now I am stuck.
I sort of know the problem, it isn't booting into the Clockwork Recovery it's just booting to the standard recovery, but I have no idea how to make it open the Clockwork Recovery, please help or tell me what I am missing.
Thanks for reading.
Don't use Rom Manager, It is not compatible with our phones
You should still be able to enter Download mode
Visit the thread HERE and have a good read and you should be able to get your phone back in working order
Ugh, rom manager. I tend to avoid the apps for doing that kind of thing. I use Odin for Kernels and CWM (Home+Power+Volume Up method) for ROMs. The other ways tend to crash.
How do I do it via CWM? Can you do little step by step guide only rough if possible? Thank you.

If only this was already written somewhere, like a FAQ or wiki.
You can boot into recovery mode manually, and choose the zip file from sdcard and flash it straight away. You can also toggle the signature verification there if you get the same error.
1. Download Siyah kernel, open the .zip and copy the zImage file to your SDcard.
2. Install DarkyROM2 app via Android market
3. Choose Flash option in DarkyROM2 tool and select the zImage file copied to SDcard.
Once DarkyROM finishes doing its job you should have ClockWorkMod Recovery installed.
For CM7
1. Download CM7 manually from cyanogenmod.com site
2. Copy the downloaded zip to sdcard
3. Shut of your phone and power it on using volume up+home+power
4. Hold it till you get to a screen with lots of options in orange or blue color thats CWM
5. Do a factory data reset ( Will delete all apps/settings )
5. Select Install zip from sdcard > Choose zip from sdcard > select CM7 zip you copied
say ok.
6. Reboot your device, done .. you should boot into CM7.

Yes I do, but nothing change,
Thanks
if I'm not mistaken the last release of 2nd init is not compatible with defy. Try to check this on the development forum. I hope I have been of help.
I'd tried with both 1.0.7 latest and 0.6.1.
With latest, the phone is blocked.
Thanks
I had used this. Try with it
P.S. sorry for my bad english.
Tried, the same errors,

What do you mean by "stable recovery"? You talk about version 0.6. of 2nd init or something else?
Can you show a step-by step procedure?
Thank you in advance.
However, which is the procedure to un-root a defy+ and to have it with the original, fresh system?
I had flash a new SBF, root with Unlockroot v2.3, anything else doesn't work, 2ndinit v2.0 stable, wipe data/cache/dalvik (same errors), try to install cm9-ics, the same error "Can't make /tmp/update_binary"

Hi, I have exactly the same problem.. Trying to find a solution but is quite difficult. First I thought it has something to do with the partitioning, as stated in THIS topic. But, in THIS topic, people say that partitioning the SD card is not necessary at all..
@Cretu22: Yes stable recovery is CWM 0.6
Don't install stable recovery! I too faced this issue when I flashed using stable recovery. In snd init install Latest recovery and then try flashing your ROM. That should work..
I did choose the stable version indeed 0.6.7.
Now i did uninstall it and installed the latest 1.0.7, but when I reboot my phone it won't get into the boot menu but just boots into android. Tried it several times, but only with 0.6.7 I seem to be able to get in the menu

Yes, its working Pressing the volume down button was not necessary with 0.6.7, that was what went wrong. Now the zips installed like a charm
i know the answer and is very simple
the problem is that you cannot create that specific folder.... because it already exist, cmp (connected music player) creates it, just delete it from SD and done!
