other than ebay please, i have two nib refurbished hd2's, one nib new, and one i took apart to replace the screen and never taped it back in, i always use it for dev and testing. any idea's where i can sell these things other than an auction?
i wish xda had a for sale section!!!
Try over at androidcentral.com in the marketplace forum.

If You do not want to sell by auction you always can sell it as "buy it now" item with fixed price. eBay+PayPal are the simplest and the most secure way to sell anything, you're always secured from fraud and scams. Selling a thing through a forum section isn't as secure, correct me if I'm not right.

OK, I gotta ask why an AT&T user has HD2s that only run on TMO? Or are they international/telstra?
Anyway, Ebay is the safest for both buyer and seller. Just make sure that you ship only to a verified address.
I have traded in the marketplace forum here on XDA, but there have also been a number of scams there.
i have att and tmous i just have waaaay too many electronics floating around so i think it's time to start getting rid of them and i was hoping to not post 30 auctions on ebay, it takes forever. but i guess that's the best way to go. thank you guys.
i should probably update my profile

Wait, you have AT&T AND TMOUS? How many phones does one need?
you can do craigslist. it doesn't provide safety like amazon or what but a lot of people use it and you meet your buyer face to face. just bring a friend with you. I bought my HD2 off craigslist by trading at tmobile motorola cliq sometimes you find good deals like that from people who don't know better haha

What is the price??
I just want to know
OK, I know its a long shot, but does anyone have a hd2 screen they would like to sell, maybe one from a bricked phone? I dont have a lot of cash which is the reason I'm not buying a new one. I will happily pay postage and a little something for you or a donation to a charity of your choice - I was thinking around the £25 mark (its all I can afford really ).
I'm trying to get another 12 months from my hd2 before I upgrade to a One-X (depending on reviews )

I would buy it new so I know that the digitizer will work... just to be on the safe side... there's a good chance digitizer and/lcd screen will break during removal process unless you have experience removing digitizer then go for it.

I just can't bring myself to spend almost £100 for a new one - I'm quite confident I could do the job.
Maybe I should just go for one of the new quad core phones and say goodbye to the hd2, but I wanted to keep it as a second phone, I like the hd2 so much I have been using it with a badly cracked screen for almost a year and have the scars on my thumb to prove it

Instead of repairing and risking the damage... why not buy a used one and sell that one as part... I'm sure you'll make some money back to cover for the new one... its just options that I'm giving you...

Hello All I just wanted to throw something out there.
I am no way looking to profit from this but I bought a N7 for my wife and Yesterday she informed me that one of my children dropped it and the screen cracked as many have reported. Well I called Asus and Google and got the same line as everyone else is getting a >$160 estimate to replace it. Well that just did not work for me as I paid full price for this and that is over have the cost as we all know and understand. Well then what are my options find another place to repair it… or fix it myself. Well long story short I am looking at DYI as I’m pretty handy and there are so many write ups on it. The issue is that there is short supply of the screens. I did locate a source for the factory screens but this is a wholeseller and I’m just looking to gage the interest in the people here on XDA for these screens as the more I ordered the cheaper they get.
Thanks in advance
Like yourself I'd be interested in one if the price was right. They are starting to show up online for around $160.

Hi there,
Probably hundreds of other threads similar to this one, however I would like to share my experience with the HTC One and also how I actually got my hands on one today!!! (Sunday 24th March)
Let's start with how I actually got my phone, which is the advice I'd like to give. Me and my mother decided to take a trip to Manchester as I hadn't bought her a mothers day present. We got to Manchester, and started having a look about when I found myself in the Phones4U shop in the Arndale Centre. (ground floor as there are multiple stores, near the Apple & Vodafone Store) I just happened to see the One, and I picked it up and immediately fell in love with it! I asked the sales guy if they had any in and he just replied 'Yes'. After speaking to his manager he said I could buy it Pay as You Go for £489! I was shocked as it is £529 from ALL retailers online and also, it isn't even shipping yet! Anyway, I ended up buying the phone and my Mum paid for her own present don't worry, I'll pay her when I trade my iPhone 5 in! SEE THE ATTACHMENT
Anyway, as far as first impressions go, my iPhone 5 now feels FAT after using the HTC One. The only issue that I have had with it, is mine is getting incredibly warm. However right now it's on charge, and now is the only time I have noticed the heat so I'm putting it down to the first charge. It's been a while since I was on Android, so I'm glad to be back in the game.
Any advice on screen protects would be greatly appreciated, heard the actual HTC ones are a little expensive for what they are, anyway thanks!

Nice! Good to hear that they aren't as hard to come by as one would think. Maybe it bodes well for online outlets and may in fact have them in stock and were told to hold them for release until 25. At least I am hoping.

Do they even do these for the HTC One? It's not listed.
Also, how can they do a front and back for iPhone? The back of iPhone 5 is textured so not sure how they will stick!

Thanks for the replies. In regards to the Rhino Shield on the iPhone that someone mentioned, it would indeed stick to the back. The only thing that put me off buying my HTC One was the fact that I'd spent £25 at Carphone Warehouse UK getting a Zagg Screen Protector and having it fitted on both sides.

I bought my phone in April 2012, and until now only change will touch once (for a fall I departed the glass) and 5 months and fix it, and is running fine. (and when I repaired, I was told that the flex was not in perfect condition) but till this day I have not had any problems (but just in case I bought a spare original flex) but it's true .. there are some who have bad luck with their Xplay.y in this case I touch you ..
Thanks for the awesome replies XPlay friends, well, except for a few useless one/s...
I found this link with awesome item bearing the Sony logo, but I'm quite skeptical of the seller (company), and of course the compatibility of the item displayed. It's probably for a Neo L. But any idea guys? Is this company reputable? And any guess if this item will work on the Play?
Here's the link: http://www.etradesupply.com/sony-ericsson-xperia-play-z1i-digitizer-touch-screen.html
EDIT: Oh crap it's out of stock. Can anyone of you recommend a reputable seller that sells REAL OEM ones and that ships worldwide?
Is the button wearing common because other people have had this problem

You have always been a great help to other users, friend, like EVERSINCE. Salute! And many many thanks!
I'm from the Philippines BTW. Just too bad the one with the Sony logo is no longer in stock.
EDIT: I'd really like to take matters into my own hands this time. Repair costs at Sony center are around $120 (converted from our currency), while buying replacement parts and installing them (which is quite easy) only costs a measly $30 to $40.

Okay, here are some results. I chose these particular listings as if you notice each item looks like its not a stock or generic photo, but a photo of what you should be getting. Still for safety sake I would contact each seller and confirm two things:
1. First that they ship to the Phillipines
2. That the item you will be getting does have the "Sony Ericcson" logo
Here they are:
This is from most expensive to least:

Can your signature be bigger please? I think it's not enough big...
Like always @ozzmanj1, you're like the most helpful guy on this forum.
I already checked all your recommendations, and the price is pretty okay. As for the first one, they don't ship to the PH. The rest ship to Philippines FOR FREE!
A question, though: they don't look OEM, they aren't, right? And also, I read before that the glue binding the glass digitizer and front casing is pretty tough, and I've heard others breaking the glass part trying to push it off the front bezel. Since all the links you posted direct to a digitizer-only part, I think it'd be rather hard for me as I don't have a heat gun.
Also, have you found any legit site that sells the digitizer with the SONY branding? It certainly looks cooler. And will it work on our PLAY? I tried looking already but I can't seem to find one, even the one for Neo L.
Thanks again for the awesome replies!
You're making one man less problematic here.
LOL. For the links I provided I would recommend to type copy and paste an email to each seller asking if it's OEM or aftermarket. I will keep an eye out for the whole shebang
I'd I find anything ill he sure to post here.

So guys here's an update on this matter.
Last August 16 I bought a 'replacement only' (and not OEM) touch digitizer without the frame from a well-known cellphone repair mall (Greenhills, for Filipinos here who know it). It cost me around $31 converted. I took it home and didn't install in the next 2 days because I was busy at work.
I was very happy with the result as I got my phone's touchscreen working again. Also, the replacement part looked very identical to the OEM so I found it good. The replacement part, BTW, was probably bought from HK or China, so it would have been basically the same if I bought it from eBay, minus the waiting time.
This September-somewhat-5-days-ago-or-so I noticed that when using Merriam-Webster dictionary, I had a hard time pressing the search bar. I really noticed the fault when I started using Titanium Backup and when I press the upper buttons some work and some buttons get pressed even when pressing the button beside them.
Well guess what, yeah right! IT'S FU**IN' BROKEN AGAIN! The item has a 30-day warranty but it's now 34 days and I can't take it to where I bought it because I'm on vacation and have to take care of my kid and won't be back to work (and to the place where I bought it) until Sunday!
AAARRRGGHHH! THIS PHONE IS KILLING ME!!!!
Buy a new xperia play for $100 or a refurbished one for $70

Replacement digitizers and flexes keep breaking after some time even with extreme care so the entire phone is not the problem.

This is awkward
I have one as well as my father both for over a year and a half and neither of them broke. (My flex disconnected once but I got it fixed via manufacturer warranty) The flex though probably did that via direct impact because I don't use a case and it may have fell with open gamepad.
