Forum for selling phones

Is there a forum specifically for selling my Hermes? I have changed phones and have no use for it any longer.

Hello,
No, we don't have a forum for selling phones. A couple reasons is because it would more than likely become a breeding ground for spam and fraud.
That being said, we do "allow" some more senior members with a trusted history on the forum to sell off their device if they're moving on or upgrading to a different device.
Your best bet may be eBay or something more local.

Theres HowardForums, but I've never understood thier over the top prices. Who would pay $500 for a Wizard when they go for $120-$180 on Ebay?
I'd suggest Ebay or Craigslist. I've had a lot of good luck with Craigslist, but then again, I live near a college campus, so the risk of scams are hard when you have plenty of traffic/witnesses around.

I was hoping for a "for sale" forum as well.
I purchased my 8525 from ebay & it constantly goes to a white screen.
Luckily - the seller agreed to a full refund.
I was told from a guru on this site that it is prob best to stay away from ebay for these phones so I was hopingto find a reputable seller over here.

I'd like to buy LG eXpo (GW820/825), so if someone wants to sell it and is willing to send it waaay to Europe, please let me know.
No screen scratches please (screen protector used from the start), minimum visible usage and a warranty cards or any other proof of purchase for a possible reclamation with the manufacturer and/or AT&T.
Members with some posting history preferred (no one-post-wonder scammers).

you could probally find a seller on american ebay that would see you an expo for a pretty good deal.

I know and I monitor eBay. But it I encounter many problems there:
- Seller does not send abroad.
- Seller does not have a warranty card.
- Seller can't provide quality photo of the phone.
- Seller does not communicate.
So I try even this approach

If you really want one I will sell you mine for $300 I really like it but I have a few other phone I could use. Very good condition with a screen protector on it from day one. I still have the box and everything that came with it.

I posted mine there too...and if you really want, i guess i can ship it to you

Thanks for your offers. I got Acer M900 in the meantime, so for the time being my demand for LG eXpo is not actual. If I find the Acer not suitable for my needs, I'll renew this thread.

Sorry if this has been talked about, I'm just wondering what a good asking
price would be for a new G2. I received an extra one from t-mobile, long
story!
Was going to use it as a back up but the one I have is fine and I don't want
to let it just sit.
Also, the best place to sell it? I've never done e-bay. Maybe craigs list?
Just looking for options.

You could sell it here on XDA, and tbh, depends on what your offering, if its mint never opened, maybe $350, if its opened and rooted but never really used, you maybe able to get a bit more.

It's mint, never touched. Only opened the box to take out the charger for a
spare at work. Thing has never even been powered up. Hell, I'll take it out
tonight and root it if it will bring a few extra bucks

I got mine on eBay for $300. Most sellers were selling the new never used ones for around $400.

You can sell them on ebay for $400 all day. Craigslist is better since no fees and cash in hand but probably won't get as much.

My Story & First Impressions

Probably hundreds of other threads similar to this one, however I would like to share my experience with the HTC One and also how I actually got my hands on one today!!! (Sunday 24th March)
Let's start with how I actually got my phone, which is the advice I'd like to give. Me and my mother decided to take a trip to Manchester as I hadn't bought her a mothers day present. We got to Manchester, and started having a look about when I found myself in the Phones4U shop in the Arndale Centre. (ground floor as there are multiple stores, near the Apple & Vodafone Store) I just happened to see the One, and I picked it up and immediately fell in love with it! I asked the sales guy if they had any in and he just replied 'Yes'. After speaking to his manager he said I could buy it Pay as You Go for £489! I was shocked as it is £529 from ALL retailers online and also, it isn't even shipping yet! Anyway, I ended up buying the phone and my Mum paid for her own present don't worry, I'll pay her when I trade my iPhone 5 in! :laugh: SEE THE ATTACHMENT
Anyway, as far as first impressions go, my iPhone 5 now feels FAT after using the HTC One. The only issue that I have had with it, is mine is getting incredibly warm. However right now it's on charge, and now is the only time I have noticed the heat so I'm putting it down to the first charge. It's been a while since I was on Android, so I'm glad to be back in the game.
Any advice on screen protects would be greatly appreciated, heard the actual HTC ones are a little expensive for what they are, anyway thanks!

Nice! Good to hear that they aren't as hard to come by as one would think. Maybe it bodes well for online outlets and may in fact have them in stock and were told to hold them for release until 25. At least I am hoping.

Do they even do these for the HTC One? It's not listed.
Also, how can they do a front and back for iPhone? The back of iPhone 5 is textured so not sure how they will stick!

Thanks for the replies. In regards to the Rhino Shield on the iPhone that someone mentioned, it would indeed stick to the back. The only thing that put me off buying my HTC One was the fact that I'd spent £25 at Carphone Warehouse UK getting a Zagg Screen Protector and having it fitted on both sides.

You really should remove that pic with your receipt in it. You need to be careful with what info you put on the internet.

My One is Sim-Free and 4G Ready in the UK. I was shocked because it's £529 online everywhere.

Any other place to sell Nexus 4 (with a cracked back)? Can't do it on swappa

I was looking to sell my Nexus 4 on here but it seems xda chose to exclusively use swappa which sucks because they won't allow phones unless they're 99% condition. My screen is still good but they said no cracked glass anywhere (damn LG, what a stupid design!)
I covered it with a dbrand skin and it looks good imo. Ebay/paypal gonna take a chunk out of it and no one on craigslist knows what the Nexus 4 is lol.

i'm trying to avoid those two places. swappa is nice but xda should've kept the forum open here as well.

Swappa is a partner with XDA so that's the XDA Market.
Frankly I am happy that they closed old XDA Market, it created lots of issues and maintanence for the XDA mods that weren't needed. There were a bunch of people too cheap or too poor to spend proper money and low balling everything, can't sell anything with a bunch of low ballers. And when you actually sell something, they give unnecesary issues and holding out on payment, one guy wanted me to record live on video my entire advanture of boxing the phone up and mailing it at the post office to make sure its a legit transaction. Not to metion the on going scams and people who messed up their phones flashing and willingfully selling them with hidden issues.
