[Q] Data Corruption on HD2 - HD2 General

Hey, first post but please, dont bite. I've spent the last 2 hours ploughing through this forum trying to find an answer to this, without success, but i have just finished 3 12 hour night shifts so my brain could be fried and i just havent seen the answer...
I've onyl recently become interested in Android having seen what a friends Galaxy S2 can do, i've been happily plodding along with a stock ROM and virtually no Apps. I got myself an 8gb Sandisk SD Card and downloaded a couple of SD Builds to try out figuring, hey at least i cant brick it!
Yesterday everything was working fine, downloaded the rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038694 - sweet as!) and after a little reading got it to boot and happily spent the boring parts of yesterdays night shift playing Mario Kart and Angry Birds like a 14 year old kid.
Went to bed, woke up and decided that i would try a new ROM today, no other reason that curiosity, but now, every time i try to copy the Andriod folder across to the SD Card on the phone, i cannot run CLRCAD.exe or haret.exe as it pops up with an error saying:
"The file CLRCAD cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists try reinstalling or restoring this file"
Hopefully someone here will have seen this before... otherwise i really am special, which i doubt...
Now, this is obviously quite annoying, and i'm hoping that there is some kind of quick fix that can be done to cure this issue, but for the life of me either my googling skills have atrophied completely, or no one else has had this issue. I'm gonna be smart and lean towards option 1...
Many thanks for any help you guys can offer, and heres a few details of the handset..
HTC HD2 on T Mobile UK
OS Version 5.2.21913
Manila Version 2.5.20181527.1
ROM Version 3.14.110.1 (04666) WWE

If you need anymore information, please ask and it shall be forthcoming.
Many thanks

Well, this thread can be deleted, i solved the issue by installing a NAND build and fecking WinMo off completely...
Thanks..

i know,i know i am soooo noob,lol
but i noticed alot of you guys have alot move free space than i do but with more programs/apps/games etc. installed
i've heard alot about this "HARD-SPL" APP, should i have installed that after i unlocked my phone & installed the Apps or should i have installed some of these roms to save more space? gee i'm a noob,i've never had a windows based phone. Ooh BTW i have a 1gb storage card, hopefully gettin into a 4 0r 8gb.
my friend even has an app which he doesn't tell me where he got it or show me on his phone the name.but when he opens his keyboard and closes it,it responds quickly into landscape and back to portrait,REAL FAST. what App is that..he doesn't wanna share his knowledge, that is why i told him about this site but can't find it..wow he newbie..but anyways, hope to learn more & more from you guys...ALL YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME WITH ALL YOUR WORK ON APPS/PROGRAMS,KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
Thanks In Advance for all the help...be safe fellas
G'day Joee and welcome. 1st, the reason other people have a lot more free memory is because they're running a cooked rom... This means that all the bloat programs/carrier crap has been removed and other better apps put in. You can find the cooked apps by going to the wiki and doing a search for hermes cooked roms.
Now, so saying, you need to install the Hard SPL onto your phone BEFORE you flash a new os as this decreases the chance of "bricking" your phone or increases the chances of recovering it if you do(we all have this happen sometime).. I'm glad you asked this before becoming another noob begging for help because he's bricked his phone and cant recover. As I say though, there is still a chance of permanently bricking, no guarantees. If you decide to flash your phone up you need to be aware that if something goes wrong and it has to be returned you may find your warranty voided. However ther are ways to return your phone back to the stock rom if you look.
You may read about radio roms and think you need to flash yours up to the latest... WRONG.... Depending where you are and who your carrier is depends on what radio rom you should have. If you find it works fine, DONT TOUCH IT as mast bricks are caused by flashing the radio rom and having something go wrong during the flash. 9 times out of 10 you cant recover, even with Had SPL.....
Now you're sufficiently afraid of flashing, Please read Mr Vanx's guide as this will REALLY help if you decide to do it. I personally recommend flashing using the sd card method as it is safer and you dont need to kill anyone who even looks at your computer while its flashing. Using the computer can cause hassles with people accidently hitting reset buttons, pulling out usb cables or just a good old fashioned blackout. SD card method just relies on a file on your sd card and the fact you have 50% battery power.. You can find out how in the wiki...
Anyways, if I haven't frightened you off completely, I would suggest , as a first rom, TNT SE. Its a fairly stable rom with a heap of 3rd party apps or if you want LOTS of memory go with a lite rom... Anything from Schapps, Matt_KR(also known as pandora), Faria, K's Pays or PDAViet (many more but you get the drift). Wait for a little while until you get experienced with wm06 before trying wm6.1 - still has teething problems.
Well, Welcome & Happy Flashing......
ultramag69, your pointing me the right way, thanks!!!! also thanks for responding to my thread,i'm glad i ran into this site. you guys are doing lots of amazing things with alot of the apps/progs,all in all you guys are AWESOME!!. i'm glad you answered me before i would had made a mistake and brick my phone. As for the carrier i'm using, i'm using " IMMIX WIRELESS", i think they are associated with Keystone. so once i "reset my phone to factory settings i use "hard-spl" & use a rom, i automatically lose all the "junk" AT&T add to their phones. yeah, free space i guess,COOOL. Oh BTW,what hard-spl do i use? V7 or V9? probably will be hard to find the "lite Rom" as you suggested.
thanks alot for the help again & hopefully learn alot more before i actually do the "HARD-SPL" flash & go modding happy.
Ok, you DONT need to reset to factory. you can just Hard SPL your phone straightway. You can then install a rom as well. Just remember that when you flash a rom you will wipe everything off the phone.
As to what Hard SPL to use, if you read about each one you will find that ver. 9 is for developers, people who muck about and improve things on our phones. We get the benefits later, but if you just wanna start off easy to flash and upgrade I'd go with ver.7. You can upgrade SPL's later if you start to get into flashing hardcore...
If you did some reading you would've found this out. I like helping people, I was where you are now once, but some people DO get nasty if a question is asked with you not looking through the forum first. Chances ae your question has been asked AND answered multiple times over. Word to the wise......
AS for the flashing.... flash Hard SPL off your computer. I find this easiest as it literally takes about 2 secs.... Howver for the rom I would suggest the SD card method(It's my personnel favourite)as its safer than with the pc. If you follow the guide you will need to backup your sd card then format it fat 32... If you've already formatted fat 32 and want to keep all the apps installed and pics etc... on there I've found you can just install the .nbh file directly onto the card WITHOUT formatting and loosing anything. Just remember to ename it to "hermimg.nbh". Put your hermes into bootloader with the card installed and it will automatically detect and start the flash process. Follow the prompts.... MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GREATER THAN 50% BATTERY POWER... very important..
Happy flashing and good luck.....
thanks again
ultramag69, thanks alot & i'm sorry if i asked q's that were answered b4, i guess i would i have to search with the correct wording 0r word...once again thanks for the help..i know i will learn alot from every1 here and who knows i'll be like you guys in no time
thanks again
thank you very much, did my 1st flash rom,i used Faria R32...nice,fast & good storage..you pointed the way for me & i thank you for the help...like i always say,YOU GUYS ALL ROCK!!!

HD2 unresponsive & trapped in a perpetual cycle of self deletion and re-custimization
I got my hd2 about 4 months ago and I have to say it's one of the best phones I've ever had, only now I have a serious problem with my ex =(.
Was running a slightly modified close to stock rom wwe, without problem (except the occasional freeze every other day) however, after attempting to install another room with cookie's homepage customizer, my phone keept freezing after about 5 min after the customization process was finished.
I thought this had something to do with the apps I installed just after the rom installation process. However, after some testing the same problem occur regardless if I install just the rom.
Have also tried upgrading to another newer OS version / rom & radio yet I encounter the same issue all the time; The screen will freeze and otherwise become non - responsive and after a restart the phone may not start ( freezing on windows orange screen), or it will start the customization process anew, somehow resetting all settings and stored content. .
Is my phone messed up for good? What are my options, please help!
Cheers,
Nate.
Update 25.3: SO I formated my phone with Task29 and reinstalled the 2.09 radio. Now starting to flash Kwbr_Topix_1.5.6 rom wwe. Will you know how it goes . .
Update 26.3: It's been 24 hours since I used task29, and everything seems fine. Thank you guys so much for the tip . . Now I may once again go back to using my great phone. Ty! xD
Anybody have any input?
Try using this to format your device.
Alright, thank you. I'll try that!
Do you have the autoinstall folder on you sd card? That could be causing the issues if something is in there thats not compatible anymore. Just a thought.
You mean like a ruu_signed file on the root of the storage card?
I second hicks, known problem, 90% it's just you needing a format of the internal memory with the task 29 utility

[Q] execute CLRCAD and HARET for android on HD2

When I try to open the downloaded android files on my SD card by tapping first CLRCAD and then HARET I get the following eror message: Files can not be opened due to a not signed trusted certificate or one of its componenets can not be found. Please help I'm getting desperate. Have tried reinstalling everything several times. I have radio ROM version 2.06., maybe that is the reason? Thank you.
You have to allow unsigned apps to perform actions/install in WM
something to do with sdkcerts.cab in windows mobile... dont remember exactly.
Wait for sometime... someone will help you.

You answered your own question. New radio is called for I think.
are you running stock if so you need hardspl3 after that you need a custom rom , look for chunkyrom for android it works well , then look in to flashing a radio rom , search and you shall find
oh... forgot Welcome to XDA
Yes, first try changing your Radio to 2.12.50.02_2 (Hope u have hardSPL'ed ur phone)
Looks like you have problems due to ur smartphone not accepting unsigned apps....install sdkcert.cab (search forum) for WinMo
well this problem suddenly started occurring
i've been running android builds for months now and not once have I encountered problems running haret and CLRCAD.
but it suddenly happened yesterday when i tried to run Mdeejay froyo revolution 1.5 for the 2nd time (the first time was successful)
and it started giving me the same error message
radio: 2.15.50.14
Hi all, I faced the same issue above, sudden happen.... Im using Rom 2.15
wow are you guys all noobs?
just download bsb tweaks and enable unknown programs.
its called "Policies" something.. youll find it there.
(btw if you are connected to pc with your phone, disconnect it =\ then try)

[Q] Processes use 90%+ of CPU

Hello all! I looked through the first 20 pages of threads, but no luck on finding my particular issue in any of them. I also attempted to use the search feature, but I keep getting a message stating that the service is unavailable. :/
My HD2 began acting up this past week with over heating/ battery drainage. Along with those symptoms I also get a lot of slowdown when trying to go through the UI or wake up the phone... At first I thought it was another Gmail update that was causing it, but after looking at the processes in the Task Manager I found that it was Manila.exe and VoiceCmd.exe that were eating up 90%+ of the CPU. I was wondering if anyone has any idea on what I can do about this situation. Can the files be replaced?
The phone was bought from T-Mobile about a year ago, and is running a stock rom that hasn't been updated to the most recent rom. I've tried a hard reset to try to fix my problem, but, alas, it still remains. The only thing that I have really done with this phone, tinkering-wise, is run a SuperFroyo Android SD card build. Would that be a possible cause of my problem?
Thank you for taking the time to read this. The following is what is currently installed on the phone, if more information is needed please let me know.
T-Mobile HD2
Manila: 2.5.20121412.2
Rom: 2.13.531.1 (90963) WWE
Radio: 2.10.50.26
Running a stock ROM for more than a year, that´s quite a long time...
Three things come into my mind as a possible hint:
1) Did you delete the "application data" folder before (or even after) making the hard reset? Sometimes, that data gets old... you can simply delete it, your system will recreate the files.
2) You added a new app, tweak or mod, even after the hard reset, which is incompatible. (Or, voice control is running wild?)
3) A hardware error...
might be worth a shot to start clean (do a hard reset again) and try this...boot up the device WITHOUT the sd card.
if that makes things better, check the sd card for errors. to be on the safe side, back up the data on the sd card and format it and restore your data and finally try the device WITH the sd card to see if that kills the issue!
Thanks guys, I tried what you suggested, unfortunately, my problem still remains. Would updating the stock rom to the new one that T-Mobile put out possibly solve anything? Would flashing an entirely different rom; Andoird Nand, Windows Phone 7 be a possible solution? I believe my 1 year warranty with T-Mobile is up, so going flash crazy doesn't seem like a bad idea.
Update: I ended up doing the rom update through T-Mobile, and I have yet to have any issues with CPU spikes since I did it yesterday. I'm currently running HyperDroid CM7 in conjunction with PortaDroid to run it from the SD card instead of Nand. It's working flawlessly so far, before it was crashing/ freezing left and right.

Help Required Please

Hi Guys
I currently own an HTC HD2 Window Mobile phone, and for the past few days I have been trying my hardest to run Android via my SD card but with no luck.
I have watched and read all the videos and changed ROMS, Radios the lot but still having trouble.
I have listed my current set up of my phone (Below) and was wondering if the experts out there could give me a little heads up as to where im going wrong.
I have ran the full Android ROM folder from my SD card as suggested but nothing happens, I have also added the Bootloader file to my Main memory but still nothing!!!!
Im currently using a cool windows ROM which I got from here and all seems to be well, just cant get the android to work??
Im also after a standard simple Anroid ROM which im having trouble locating, does anyone know of a good Android ROM to use, anything would be considered
Details Of Phone
SPL-2.08 HSPL 8G
Radio 2.08.50.05
