[Q] De-Brand Yoigo ZTE Blade? - Blade General

Hi,
Is there a de-branding ROM for Yoigo's (Spanish) ZTE Blade?
I followed the instructions here, apparently for debranding an Orange ZTE Blade, but ended up with the green man at bootup.
chrislowthian.co.uk/how-to-unlock-de-brand-and-root-the-zte-blade-orange-san-francisco/1824/
Would I need to get a Yoigo version for that r8_update .zip file?
Anyone have a link to that, or to something that might work for me?
Thanks!
Gary

Your device may be Gen2 (You can check this using the app "ask mr pigfish" (android.modaco.com/content/zte-blade-roms-rom-customisation/335082/app-ask-mr-pigfish/)) and your debranded firmware seems to be for Gen1.
So, you may want to install a Gen2 rom (like CM7 or Ginger Stir Fry in modaco). I don't know if a debranded Gen2 "stock" rom exists though.

[Q] Please help me "Step-by-step" on howto root my Blade

Hi
Been doing alot of WinMo flashing the last year and now I've bought an Zte Blade. Here in Sweden they are cheap as h*ll and they seem to be ok as phones come.
My problem is that because of my "Obsessive Compulsive Flashing Disorder" I now need to learn how to flash/root my new Android phone. XDA is my only source of knowledge in this matter and I was surprised to find that there are no "Step-by-step" instructions for this here in the Blade section...
I mught be a noob... Please help me in the right direction.

Debrand Yoigo ZTE Blade - Orange led to Green Man
Hi,
I followed the instructions here:
chrislowthian.co.uk/how-to-unlock-de-brand-and-root-the-zte-blade-orange-san-francisco/1824
Which an xda-developer forum discussion member suggested.
I tried it and when rebooting at the end, I was stuck at the green man.
I can still enter Clockworkmod Recovery by holding volume down at boot.
Is there a different r8_update or r* debranding .zip file I should use for Yoigo, instead of the one there linked for De-Orange-ifying? Does it matter?
Also, before I tried to rebrand, I backed up my ROM with ROM Manager.
I think I see that file is advanced-recovery in the clockworkmod recovery screen.
Should I use advanced-restore, select the ROM I backed up, and then choose one of these: restore boot, system, data, cache, sd-etx options? Which option should I choose? Or should I use non-advanced restore, or restore zip from sd card -> install /sdcard/update.zip (what is that?) ?
And then, when I have my phone back, what debranding ROM can I properly use for Yoigo?
Thanks!
Gary

[Q] official update to 2.2?

ZTE Blade will soon celebrate it's 1th birthday and there is still no official update to Android 2.2. So i'm asking: when it will be finally finished? I really can't stand 2.1 (especially a think, that i cannot save my apps on memory card). I know that it was released in Finland, but why there? Why not for exaple in UK (only it may be in engilsh)... I'm really sad about this. So, does anyone know when finally there will be official update?
sorry for my bad English..
thanks, mirko185
With the price being so low in the UK I have my doubts that 2.2 will get released here.
Can someone please point me to a guide on the official 2.2 ROMs which I assume can be installed.
ZTE has released Froyo kernel(2.6.32) source code for the Blade... Check "System Equipment" under front page top "Support" link.
yes, I've already noticed it, but it doesn't helps me anyway... And they have so slow servers, and really non-systematic website..

well, I'm from Slovakia, so I don't know from which from these page I should download it, and, of course, I'm really happy, finnaly it's here! I only want English version, and it should have every of these roms, isn't it?
and, thank really much!
I tryed the Hungarian T-Mobile one, but unfortunately it didn't work for my device, it says that my device has another version. I think it's becouse of my phone is from Slovak Orange. What a shame... :/ But at least I can believe that Orange is finishing their ROM, if T-mobile already has it done (I hope).
thanks anyway.
I have a Spanish Version of the ZTE Blade that is running 2.2. I backed up the rom before I installed a custom rom so if anyone wants a copy of what was backed up by rom manager then let me know and I will see what I can do...As far as I can remember my Blade is version B10. Hope that help someone.
Hi could you post your back up. I don't need the data.img

I am using the Hungarian froyo update on my orange UK san Francisco.

edit: to get this working I downloaded this https://market.android.com/details?id=com.apedroid.pigfish to make sure my device is gen1
I then downloaded this http://www.wuala.com/peanut_hu/OSF_Blade/ROMs/fonix232/T-Mobile_HU_memory_fix_ROM which is the gen1 t-mobile hungarian eclair rom, you extract this and place this on your blade's sdcard, so sdcard/image/
turn your blade off, hold down volume + and power button, and the blade will flash the eclair rom, after this you need the above t-mobile hungarian froyo rom, http://www.t-mobile.hu/lakossagi/keszulekek/szoftverfrissites/telefon/zte_blade_2 , start your blade in FTM mode, hold volume - and power on device, flash from windows. Let it complete to 100%, all done, now running an official froyo rom
GREAT!! I gonna try this out right now!
edit:well, i relazed my blade is not rooted, so i cannot flash eclear ROM.. is there another way to install this eclear?
edit1: well, I managed to flash the hungarion officila om from T-mobile, but I can't start the phone cousa it's asking me code for unblock networks.. I try to search this out, BTW, If u did the same thing as me, do u have this code too?
The network unlock code is unique for each device.
You can get your code to network unlock your blade for free by typing your phones IMEI number here: http://arrtoo.x10.mx/unlockBlade.php
'Arr Too' over at modaco is hosting this for the blade
My blade has been network unlocked from the first day i got it
Sent from my ZTE-BLADE using XDA App
yop, mine was unlocked too, but when I flashed a T-MOBILE 2.2 android, it had locked it.. but I unlocked it and everything works like a charm..

make sure your SD card without dload folder
power on U8800 with pressing volume_up and volume_down
wait till U see the pink screen, conect U8800 with computer via USB
find a USB storage in ur computer
just find the app folder, do whatever u want
btw u could see the recovery.img, that's an easy way to reflash U8800 recovery

Hey.
If anyone has (U8800V100R001C00B138SP04) ROM, I'd like to get a stock rom just in case something happens. I can't download it from Modaco's wiki.
Or can I backup the rom I have installed right now?

If you replace the original recovery with Perfect Recovery 4.0.0.5 from bootloader (Vol+,Vol- and Power - pink screen), you can do a backup of your current Rom.

i changed to a custom rom before unlocking my device, and now with miui or cm7, when i insert my sim card from another network, the device doesn't ask to enter the unlock code.

You need any stock Rom flashed, as Oxygen doesn't prompt for the network unlock PIN. Here is some info:http://www.unlock-tmobilepulse.com/unlock/huawei-ideos-x5-unlock-code-huawei-u8800/
Check your PMs for stock Rom instructions...

You don't flash it like the way you flash a custom rom. You have to put the 'dload' folder into the root of your SD Card, then boot into bootloader, then it'll automatically flash back to the stock rom.

U8800 Greek stock ROM (WIND)

Hello, as the title says I'm looking for the stock ROM of U8800 that comes with the phone sold in greek market by WIND. The reason I want this, is cause half of the touch screen has stopped responding and I wanna take it to their service. ROM itself for flashing or a backup should be fine.
Furthermore, cause the phone is not mine and I don't have it on my hands right now, does it have any binary counter (like the samsungs do) and needs anything special to get it to zero?
i think wind release greek rom only for u8800 pro
and not for u8800
but you can upgrade the rom from huawei official site for u8800
it have greek language but not keyboard(you can download your own)
I think they 've realesed a rom for U8800 too. Someone to confirm that please. However the phone was bought from WIND Hellas with 2.2 android on it. So any ROM that they won't argue it wasn't theirs is more than welcome
i have it for u8800 wind original rom

Dudes ever heard of flashing? LOL, Go ahead get a copy of RSD lite 4.9 and up, have worked fine for me (win 7 x64) (or use sfb flash if using linux)
then search this forum for the XPRT sbf that suits your need, (remember, read thoroughly so you wont download the wrong file) and that's all.
RSDlite
REMEMBER Sprint Branded phones may be flashed both with sprint or Boost SBFs, but Boos branded phones will only take Boost SBFs.
The SBF files you may find them here in the forum, just search for sprint 2.3.5 sbf or boost 2.3.5 sbf,
