In another thread someone mentioned that they were able to play the videos by browsing to the website.
I tried that in the stock browser and the video started playing. It looked nice and smooth and HD. After about 2-3 mins, the framerate dropped to like 3 frames per second and the video become unwatchable. I couldnt figure out a way to fix it, so I gave up.
This is a deal breaker for me considering how awesome HBO Go is. Any rooted devices/custom roms got it running?

Works perfectly in the Dolphin browser.

this is debatable. Not everyone has been having the same success as you. I have tried a couple different browsers and the video starts out smooth, then after a few minutes the frames drop and it's unwatchable.
Haven't been able to figure out why, since I have plenty of RAM available.
Contact HBO. They have to make it work.
It's only a matter of time until this app has GTab 10.1 support. Email the developer. I did. And I'm having success watching it through Dolphin HD

I swore I tried Dolphin also and it didnt work. Maybe it's one of those "your mileage may vary" things.

So flash 10.1 final just came out and I've been trying to play around with it. I notice that many flash, especially flash games are running very slow(try armor games), also some flash video. It seems YouTube is the smoothest one. Can anybody else confirm your flash performance or is it just me?

You don't have any lag or anything? Even with full flash games? Try crush the castle 2 on armor games.

Plenty of lag here trying some flash games on facebook. Not smooth at all (using dolphin HD).
Have you guys tried double-tapping the game or video to make it fullscreen? That always works for me.

That doesn't really change the fact that the game's slow.

Well, it could, because in full screen it might be using HW acceleration. Don't know if that's the way it's implemented, though.
vimeo.com always played slow for me.

I tried playing crush the castle 2 and it played smoothly, audio wasnt choppy at all and gameplay didnt lagg one bit.
So to people lagging:
1. Which rom are you using?
2. Do you have extra windows open in the browser, what programs are running in the background?
Try restarting your device, and open a flash game without opening anything but the browser. Try with fullscreen and regularly.

I'm using latest CM nightly. Maybe it's the background programs since I never use any task killer app and I have maybe 50 apps installed on the phone together. Also I'm using Dolphin browser HD.
I'll try restart the phone fresh and see how it goes.

Using the Rodgriguez ROM and dolphin HD. Don't have any other tab opened but Im sure I have some apps running in the background. phone is overclocked to 1.113gh
Just tried the full screen mode and it helps a little but not much. I think it's the game that I am playing that's causing the lag (Restaurant City). LOL
I just rebooted my phone and tried crush the castle 2 on armor games. The game still ran very slow. Maybe I need to wipe the cache to do a clean install of ROM? I haven't wiped for a while.

Well I guess maybe it's because of the ROM then. CM maybe uses too much system resource and is not optimized.

Try revert back to flash 10.1 beta 3 version. Flash 10.1 final is terribly slow while beta 3 performs quite smoothly on most games and videos. Those who had no issues most likely still on beta 3.

You didn't happen to download the flash player from the market did you? If so there is another thread in this forum that has a link to the proper APK that is optimized for the tegra 2.

LOL.
And to be OT, flash videos are amazing and crystal clear at this resolution.
I agree, it even runs HD streaming perfectly on Amazon.com prime service.
Netflix streaming does not work, the webpage reports that 'its not compatible with your browser' seems stupid, but oh well.. now i have an amazon prime account!
Wish this thing would play mkv's. thats a big issue.

Netflix uses Silverlight bro. You wont be able to view any SL content until it's put on on the market like Flash player is. But it will never be put up so no need to worry about it
you can view Amazon Prime on your Atrix? I tried but the Watch now Link did not do anything.
Opera is reaaaaaaal smooth on the xoom guys...
tried Dolphin hd (crap), skyfire (choppy) and firefox (a joke). so far, only opera feels like a true tablet browser. also, once a page is cached, the load is instant (as it should be!)
now let's hope they allow the addition of more quickdials (9 ain't enough)
btw it's the full opera, not the mini

Really? Every time I try including right now, it is slow as crap. Dolphin HD is just as bad. Stock browser seems to be the best choice for me and that is not as zippy as I want either.
agree with OP. opera is awesome. Its the only browser I use on xoom right now, unless I need flash.

Yep +1 Dolphin Mini is the best browser right now.Opera is good but the lack of flash made me feel like I was using an Apple product lol.

dolphin HD works well for me....not sure why some people say its slow especially since the last update. My problem with opera is that some pages still showed up as mobile
euuuh guys I'm talking about Opera Mobile not mini.... flash works fine.
Stock browser still works best for me. Opera is fast but also crashes sometimes and I am unable to synchronise with my Opera Link account. Hoping for a fix soon.
thanks for the tip, using it now and seems much smoother, although slight delay noticed between clicking a link and the link opening, as if it's loading in the background, need to play around with the settings
How is the tab operation in opera mobile in honeycomb?
I found the tab is not as easy as the stock browser (all tabs are accessible directly outside) .

In short, at this time, no.
Just use the browser to watch 720p YouTube. The hardware acceleration works flawlessly and it runs silky smooth!
Tip: you have trouble hitting the full screen button on the lower right of the video, just long-press once the video loads up, and an overlay should appear which lets you full-screen easier.
Even if I use the browser I get that ridiculously crappy 360p, it just loads m.youtube.com and I can't leave it.
What am I doing wrong? Only way I've ever watched 720p youtube have been embedded videos. The difference is not even funny, how come there's no third party app for this? It's insane.
You have two choices. One is download an app call JetVD, you can google it and download it right fron your phone. The next option is download a browser like Dolphin Browser from the google market and select it to render websites as it would if you were browsing on a desktop. Both ways will net you 720p but the Dolphin Browser will get you 1080p if you care for it lol

JetVD is not on market.
I normally use Tubemate to watch or download youtube video.
you can choose 360-1080p video to watch and also can download them which is awesome for me. Tubemate is available on market or you can google it.

Probably it is frowned upon for downloading youtube videos, i had a rom once that had an in youtube download option and the dev several times got a youtube email stating they would like him to use the stock one.
On the url place of the browser type ABOUT:USERAGENT then on the menu that comes choose desktop now go to every page and it shown as it would be on your home pc

How about some help for a bro?
Seriously, I'm returning the Nexus 7 if I cannot get Flash to work with it. There are many websites I go to that use it so personally it is a deal breaker. I admit this is a better hardware device than my KF but at least the latter does what I need it to.

Thanks alot, I owe you one!
I cannot play videos from every website I went to test it, but 90% worked for video AND sound.
I'm bookmarking the link you provided cause I have a feeling when another software update comes along it may not work and the developers will update that thread accordingly.
All other apk files for Flash I tried beforehand didn't work except the .17.

Flash is a bit hit and miss on the N7 but flash down loader on Play might be of use.
For TV in the UK you can't beat TVCatchup.
Thanks again for the thread on xda for Flash .17.
Still some websites where I cannot play videos BUT those are in the minority versus those that work.

Latest Flashplayer + Boat browser.
IMHO - Boat is way better than Chrome.
