Help ! No picture on HDTV after connecting HDMI Dock!

Hi Guys,
Just bought the multimedia docks of Tab 10.1 and Tab 7 and swapped their center ports to be able to have HDMI out on Tab 10.1 dock as per suggested by Task and many others. As the HDMI out on the dock is a mini HDMI out, I bought a mini hdmi to hdmi adapter and then connected it via my existing hdmi cable to my HDTV. But there's no picture coming out on the TV. Do I need to flash any specific kernel for it to work? What am I missing? Please let me know !
Do you have your Tab plugged into the wall charger? I think it needs to be.
offcourse its connected and charging the tab. But no picture on tv
Ok, I am having the same probelm as well. I am very noob soplease don't slam me, but I have both parts listed above and it will kind of work. By kinbd of I mean that I left the tab docked and after 5 minutes of leaving it docked it mirroed on the tv, tried running some apps:
you tube: would stream on the tv but the tab was a black screen
netflix: stream on both, audio on tv only; which was what I expected
sling box: same as netflix
angry birds: would studder, I would launch a bird and n the tab watch the resulying chaos, but the the was black screen until the actions were done, but Audio was still out of the tv
Lastly, a partial thread jacking, I assumed that this hdmi was working know so I tried the RCA hook-up....nothing. then tried to switch back to hdm and after about 10 minutes of hitting apps and acting like a cave man; it mirrors on the screen again. I checked all my cables are tight and new.
Any help why this is going in and out.
thanks

please ignore my misspellings and typo's, but I am back.
Since my last post, I turned off the tv and sent the tab to sleep mode. when I left it, it was working fine. Just powered the tv back on and nothing, tried running netflix and still nothing.
If anything needs to be done with the settings please let me and others know

usb keyboard not working no power to usb port on kindle

So nothing going on today I got a usb to mi i adapter. Using a usb keyboard does not work with the kindle,
Looking into this I found using a usb lap and a usb Christmas tree lol there is no power out on the usb port on this unit.
Any clue what or how to use a usb keyboard with this? I looked at system files and all keyboard info is there.
Why would you want to? If you are going to carry around a USB keyboard just get a Netbook or a Laptop
Just testing it out. They make a keyboard case for tablets. I had one for a inch one and loved it Best part is for internet or emails
Case looks like this

Nice case... but... USB keyboards won't work with the Kindle Fire.
No external keyboards work for the Kindle Fire.
(maaaaaaaybe one day someone might possibly figure out how to enable bluetooth on the device, until then my comment stands)

I don't think any tablet will accept a USB keyboard.

Some tablets that have usb host will let you use keyboards. Example: Archos gen 8 and 9 and I think the Acer Iconia A500, but I can't remember.

Didn't know that. Thanks!
Darn I was hoping it would. I use to have a zenithink 180 and got to love a keyboard case with it but just happy the kindle works.

[OTG] Logitech Keyboard & Mouse Drivers Missing

Before I start, I don't believe this belongs in the Accessories category because it is a software/development question.
I have a standard OTG cable, bought it for my Evo 3d and it works fine. Plugging it into my new Nexus 10 (Unlocked and rooted of course) I got the pleasant surprise that it provides enough power from the tablet alone to power most USB devices (even my 2.5" hard drive!). Now, when I used the OTG cable on my Evo 3d, I was able to plug in my Logitech unifying receiver and connect my mouse and keyboard with no setup required (keyboard just works, mouse shows a cursor). With the Nexus 10, no such luck.
I was able to download the USB Host Diagnostics app from the Play Store, and I can see that it is recognizing the adapter no problem, but it is not loading input drivers or setting them to be input devices.
Dmesg from Evo 3d when plugging in OTG + Logitech receiver with mouse and keyboard: http://pastebin.com/kBbZEwXD
Dmesg from Nexus 10: http://pastebin.com/0yyFZK7u
Now, I know my cable works fine with the Nexus 10 because I can mount mass storage no problem.
I would love for someone with some more knowledge of USB host mode to maybe provide some feedback or support.
I'm more than happy to provide any more information needed.
Thank you ahead of time.

Same problem here. I originally bought the combo for my Iconia, which had a full size USB port, but I couldn't get them working on the N10. My wired USB mouse and my DSLR camera both connect and work fine though...

I hope it ends up being something small and flash-able as a fix, instead of having to flash a completely new ROM. Either way thanks!
OK, I've got the Logitech Unifying support working... tested it with my keyboard and mouse... all good... it's a new kernel... I will upload it soon...

Logitech Unifying Adapter & Sony Xperia S
Hey guys,
I know I'm in the wrong section but I don't know if I ever can solve this problem:
I have a Sony Xperia S with the newest Jelly Bean .211 and this FW cannot identify my Logitech keyboard with a unifying 2.4GHz adapter. All keyboards and mouses with this adapter don't work. I see with USB Host Controller APP that the adapter is recognized with the right vendor and device id but the Xperia S does nothing. With ICS and GB we hadn't this problem. I think only the drivers are missing. I called the Sony support and they told me to do the same studip thing: factory reset, reflash the FW bla bla... :silly: But it's a FW related problem and so on I'm googling this since 2 months and i cannot find anything to solve this. And today I saw this thread. I hope anyone can tell me which files are needed to recognize my Logitech keyboard on USB OTG as a keyboard and to use it. I saw that this problem was solved for the Nexus 10 but only as a kernel and I need only the files or drivers.
Please help
Regards
Just curious , would this kernel help to make a Logitech steering wheel usable as well ?

MK808 to KFHD File transfer

I'm trying to transfer a vid file to my kindle from my MK808 android mini PC. Sounds quite simple I know but unfortunately the tried and tested apps that let you WiFi share are on one marketplace but not the other. When I physically connected the kindle to the MK808 via USB the kindle tells me its connected to USB and ready but the MK808 does not see the kindle, at least not in its explorer program. I've searched the net for some time and cannot find any help other than use WiFi sharing with the same app on both devices.
Any suggestions or help getting me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
As a note, the only hardware I have in my possession at this time is a kindle fire HD, MK808, HTC Sensation and a Xbox, if anyone has any suggestions I will don my cap to you for the remainder of time!

There are several cloud services around that may help, for example, dropbox, ubuntu one, google drive, etc. They may be a temporary workaround. If the mk 808 has Bluetooth I'd also agree with Raymond.
I managed to stream the file via ftp. Won't download or upload I'm thinking its a network issue tbh thanks though
Oh the 808 doesn't have bluetooth

Still found no solid solution to this, its really beginning to nark me lol! I've took to transferring the vids to my SDcard and Bluetooth it to the kindle from my Sensation which is agonizingly slow and cant even be left over night as files like to fail for no effing reason!

If your MK808 running JB 4.1.1 stock rom, it is rooted.
so install superSU,busybox and AirDorid from play store. then you are set.
run AirDorid in MK808, kindle open browser connect to MK 808 (i test with my Galaxy S2 I9100).
you should able to download/upload files to/from MK 808.
hope this will help.
I lived with bluetooth tbh mate but now my next venture for the kindle is XBMC

Working bluetooth keyboard and trackpad with kindle fire HD 7 and 8.9

I was irritated when I found out that I couldn't use a bluetooth mouse on my unrooted kindle fire HD's so I started trying bluetooth keyboards with built in trackpads and found the IOGEAR bluetooth keyboard with a small built in trackpad works great with both my fire HD 7" and my fire HD 8.9" the model number is GKM611B
I got mine on amazon for $45 which was more than I wanted to spend but at least it works. The trackpad is sensitive and even though it is small it is actually very usable. If anyone has had any luck with cheaper devices please feel free to post the information below.
I have started leaving my laptop home and just hooking the kindle up to an external monitor at work and the keyboard and trackpad work great. So until one of the many brilliant people in these forums figures out how to get a bluetooth mouse to work, this is a good alternative.
If you have any specific questions feel free to ask and I'll try to answer them.
FYI the keyboard can retain the settings for up to six devices. Also the function + volume keys work to change the volume.
Hope this helps.

Looks good
I have been using the Logitech K400 2.4 ghz keyboard for a while myself (http://goo.gl/KttOZ). Works great, but looking for a similar model that is bluetooth as well.
The iPazzport mini bluetooth\IR remote works well with my KFTT with the bonus of a learning-only IR. Also comes with a laser pointer & rechargeable battery. On the minus side, it's not exactly heavy-duty construction. An unsupervised 3-yr-old could make landfill fodder out of it in 30 seconds.

does trackpad or any BT mouse have the ability to appear a pointer on the kindle fire hd ? i want to know
Yes, the one I mentioned above. But it's tiny.
Sent by KFTT, in spite of everything.
I have an idea that juuussst might work...
1. Buy an otg cable off amazon for $2
2. Then plug the usb portion of the wireless mouse into the usb portion of the otg cable
3. Wireless mouse connected to kindle?
I have not tried this before, but i have an otg cable coming in the mail, so ill try to report back asap if it works...

http://db.tt/HOVbK31h
execute this in a script manager (rom toolbox free is the best, if you want set it at boot. if you use other script manager, set this at root) my values changed, but i have nothing to test with. see if it works
