I have the first (and should be the only) Google+ thread in the epic general forums..... WHY WHY WHY would you feel the utter need to make another one!!!!!!! Have you heard of Google or are you finally moving out from your house under a rock?

Surely this sort of spam wouldn't be tolerated if it was by another company, clearly it has nothing to do with mobile topics.

I fully agree with the OP. These Google+ topics have nothing to do with the Samsung S2. Getting annoyed by scrolling through the topic list in my PREMIUM app because of these topics. Make one central topic in the XDA area for off topic and close the

Surely the google+ threads are more important than this useless thread. Report the threads and mods will take care of them if they consider them inappropriate. Starting up a new useless thread ain't much help

We make an effort to condense them down to one main thread in off topic.
That said, we can't be everywhere at once, send the relevant forum moderator a PM and they will deal with the situation accordingly.
Theres also the case that people may be wishing to create a specific circle for owners of a certain device, this would be difficult if every thread was merged.

it's not just in s2 forums, open any forum on XDA and you will see them...

Also, G+ seems to be a worse privacy jackpot than FB, which is big brother writ large!

Not that I believe that's what's happening in the offending threads, but that's a very good point.
I don't care anyway. I've not been able to get in, despite numerous invites, so it must be crap

Well its definitely not the case in most of them, however I have left a couple in sections I moderate due to the fact that they were started with that intention.
Should they turn into an endless invite whoring add4add fest then they will close.
Im assuming you've tried all the usual workarounds?

The only "tricks" I know of are by trying to get invited by someone posting something to you, and there's a script in the off-topic forum that retries your invitation URL every 5 seconds. I left that going for over 24hrs and it didn't get in.
I've pretty much given up now. I'll definitely be all over it when I do get in, but I'm not putting my life on hold and waiting for it.

I think some of the issues are that G+ comes up while talking on the forum. Then other are desperate to get an invite. I am guilty of posting in a few of them. But your right. Unless the thread is to create a circle it should be in off topic.
PS... 88 person XDA huddle was awesome.

I have made a G+ Account called "XDA Circle". If we can get all XDA members to search and add that account to a circle. It would more or less create a global group. I'm thinking it would be an easy way to keep our own XDA circles up-to-date. Simply search for the "XDA Circle" profile, dbl-click into it to view who has circled the "XDA Circle" account. Then you can easily find XDA Members that you have not added yet.
I have no plans to use or make posts from that profile. In theory, it should grow on its own as more XDA members get online with Google+.

So true! Also notice how the majority of those asking here on XDA are newly registered and have very few posts. Seems a little suspicious to me.
That said: I will send invites, but only if you have been an XDA member for at least 1 month or have over 100 constructive posts. My invites will go to the real community, not these "n00bs" just trying to get a free ride.

I would love an invite but can't face the idea of begging for one on the forum...

Hey OP, have any clue how the privacy settings work on google+? I have a crazy ex stalker g/f and need most my stuff other than profile pic and name private : /
Oh I should also say that google+ is freaking awesome and IMO way better than facebook! I am just trying to figure it all out right now...

How will this work? Will I see the posts that user x makes to the circle or just one guy?

There is a place to block users. I have blocked anyone yet, but surely it is possible.

Basically, the way it works is you create a circle like XDA. Then you find and add people to your XDA circle. Once added, you will see their posts as well as all the other people in that circle. Then you have the option to view the posts of everybody you have in all circles, or you can select single circle at a time to filter out the rest.

I would love an invite as well...been on xda awhile...dont post much mostly just reading lol....dont wanna throw my mixed knowledge in and confuse people lol

I wouldn't mind one if the invites are still working I'm such a google fan boy I hope google takes a chunk from facebook. Also, I havent confirmed it myself, but my dad claims facebook and twitter are merging.. I know thats been rumored before but who knows!

Invitation to MIUI Epic test team

If anyone wants to test my MIUI builds, sign up here. In the past, I've posted to the MIUI thread in Android Development, but I feel that to clutter the thread a little less, I should have a test team to PM or tweet or whatever and then post there if I know the build is worth posting. I'd test myself, but I lost my SD Card and still need to get a new one. Sign up here, got 5 builds ready when you guys are.
