Tomorrow when I get to my office my Note should be there waiting for me. It is coming from Handtec, I am in the USA. Will I need to bring with me an adapter for the charger? ALSO. The charger that comes with the Note, is it like the one that comes with the Galaxy Tab? Sort of iPhone-looking connector - Or (fingers crossed) is it a NORMAL USB mini or regular connector?

No, any microUSB charger will do. I am trying to find a more powerful charger at least at 1A. Anyone have suggestions for a cheap one online? I may check out Target when I am in the states next week.

You will not be able to use the charger that comes with it in the USA without an adapter. It is made for European markets. You can plug the cable with the mini usb and usb connections into a computer to charge it until you get a charger that works here. Buying an adapter is a waste of money. You can buy a charger most anywhere for next to nothing. I bought 4 or 5 on Amazon for $2 or $3 including shipping.
check this out..

When I had the Galaxy S 2 I used the iPhone charging cube (which is 1A) to charge my GS2 faster and IMHO it is the best charger for Samsung phones in terms of power, portability, and looks. Definitely worth looking into.

I probably have some chargers and I have several adapters too, but HATE THEM. I will bring an adapter with me to the office and then try out chargers at home. Wonder if the one that I plug my iphone/ipad/into works. OR .. I can use the one from my Galaxy Tab 7" right? Then when I sell the Tab (it has phone also) I can give them some other charger.
I am quite fond of the HTC travel charger that came with my mytouch 4g:
search for: 79h0009814m
It's nice and compact.
warning though: I bought a black one off of amazon and it seems to be fake - it doesn't charge nearly as fast as the one that came with my mytouch 4g. It's still compact so I still use it a lot.

Iphone/ipad charger will work if you connect it with cable that comes with the Note (use the mini USB connection for the phone and plug the USB connection into the charger.) One from Galaxy Tab 7" will work as well.

You can use the GTab7's charger, but when you sell it you really should include the proper charger as regular USB chargers will only trickle charge the GTab7.
The Note's charger is 5V/1A, so you should be able to find many suitable chargers for it very cheaply.

Dave
I got a nice, thin rectangular charger with my jawbone headset. The first jawbone. I like that the prongs fold in on that charger. would love for it to work on my note.
I've been searching Google and I surprisingly couldn't find out what accessories are included with the US version. Maybe I could've searched through all of the lame reviews, but I figured I ask you owners.
Just a charger and charging cable

To be clear, does this mean that a 30-pin to USB plugs into a USB wall charger?

I try to connect to my samsung galaxy note and ipad USB charger, it donest work! why? don;t charger , and I try to connect my laptop to charger is still not work welll and very very slow charging/., why!! please help ! or I have to buy a new charger? any cheap price? where? please let me know
The asus charger is a higher voltage than a normal phone charger so all it will do is trickle charge
Asus charger is 5 and 15 volts the transformer needs the 15v, usb is only 5 so it won't charge very well.
You can charge from any USB3 port. USB1/2 won't charge it at all but will work for data.

USB3 will not help much. The transformer uses a physical USB connector that IS NOT USB electrically configured. Get a Dynex video universal charger set the output to the voltage closest to but below 15v. Plun the ASUS cable into it.

I bought a "china" charger at ebay. It comes with ASUS plug and does its job fine. So no need to buy the expensive ASUS one.

I have never seen a wireless charger. and I am planning on getting the N4, so... would any wireless charger work?

They stated ANY QI charger should work.
Does anyone know how much the wireless charger is going to cost? I don't see it in the playstore. Is it even going to be available in the playstore?
Will a Palm touchstone work with the Nexus 4? That'd be sweet because they're running ~$5.50 or so shipped on Amazon.

Apparently so, there are people on XDA who are stockpiling the Touchstone chargers. I mean you can't go wrong, they're $5.50!

No sadly it doesn't work with my N4. Instead i bought the Maxell wireless QI charger, But the energizer or a duracell ersion should work
The Wireless Gear 5wc800 works with the N4.
Only you have to place the N4 with the usb port on the side where the power button is.
I can confirm this.
The only thing i hate about it is that i can't charge it while there is a skin on my nexus.

does 5wc800 work with a case?

Or will it be an accessory which takes another 6 months to hit the market and cost another $100+?

That would be awesome if it did come with it, but I highly doubt it will. They will probably charge some ridiculous amount of money for it. This is what the play store says is in the box..
What's In The Box
Nexus 4 phone
USB sync/charge cable
AC Adapter and cable
SIM ejection tool
Safety and Warranty information
Quick start guide
No. It won't.
my opinion is that it will cost around $30-50. Wouldn't mind paying $30 for it, but not a penny more.
I believe the Nexus 4 uses standard Qi charging technology. No word on the official Nexus charging orb, but if you're just looking for a wireless charging solution, you can find charging mats on Amazon etc. Most of the ones I've seen are fairly expensive though.

Not sure what this means. USB cable (micro / usb) but then AC adapter and cable?

I would assume it's just the standard charger that comes with every other phone

Anyone have any in depth knowledge of the inductive charging?
Will any inductive power charging mat work? Or does it have to have something specific to the lgnexus?

The charger has to use the Qi standard for wireless charging. Some say that the old, now very cheap, Palm Touchstones may work but there is no official word on whether they use Qi. We'll just have to wait and see.
