Forgive my ignorance, but how can I tell if I have color bleed? That is, how can I tell if it is by design or a problem? I hear many talking about color bleeding but I don't think I've encountered it on my TF.
I did try the dead pixel test and all colors looked good.
Thanks!

I think you mean light bleed, not color bleed.
Here's the thing, if you don't notice a problem, then in theory there is no problem. If people tell you what to look for, the littlest problem will suck your eyes straight to it every time.
It is only a cosmetic issue, so if you don't see anything wrong with it, there is nothing wrong with it.

Yup! The day I got my tablet, I was like "ZOMG SO PERFECT" then I drooled for a little while...
Reading these forums, I discovered how to check for light bleeds, (not telling you OP! its for your own good!) But I noticed one on my bottom left hand part of the screen. My eye wanders there a lot and I cringe a little bit. *sigh*
Its so small though... About the size of a fingernail

I am sure you are right but I really can not see why it exists. What is its purpose?
Probably an accent color...doesn't really bother me...my TF had been pretty good so far...

Seriously, I never realized anything was wrong until I read about light bleeding and how to check for it in these forums. Ignorance is bliss!

Pics or it didn't happen!
You probably didn't crack the camera lens, you probably cracked the plastic lens that's over the camera, right?
You need this piece:
http://cgi.ebay.com/New-HTC-EVO-Spr...ewItem&pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3a5d074580
You can see in the teardown pics that the camera lens is actually under this piece. Better hurry though, that's the last one (I bought the other one for a project I'm doing).
Im suprised that this is such a big issue.. ive never had a problem, neither have any of my friends. Well, ill take that as we are lucky...

did you use a black marker
try using dye..
i remember someone doing this for the touch pro 2.. i have the phone before and the desire z feels the same so it might work
they used dye to add color to the matte part of the cover

I really need to know how this is done. I've had 3 G2's cus they keep changing a yellow color. If it was black I wouldn't have to worry about this.

For the final sanding I would use somethin really fine or you could even semi-wet sand it and you'll get a great finish.

I don't intend to be mean or anything.........but maybe wash your hands more often? Had mine since launch and there is no discoloration.
I have the moto portfolio case and got my xoom from launch day and today I just noticed my rear cam has two scratches and I'm about to cry!!!!!
Does anyone knows if there is a way to replace it and how much would it cost!!! I hate the moto case because doesn't protect ****!!!! But am I hopeless? Any help would be appreciated (even people complaining about this post and redirecting me to the right one)
Thanks!

Thanks for the reminder for me to be careful with that lens. I hope it's not a problem for you.
Same here.
I too have an issue with my camera. The plastic covering the camera has a dent right over the camera opening. Any ideas on this seemingly simple rplacement part?
That's what I was trying to get but, anyways it seems to not affect the pictures at all... at least on mine...

Forgive the silly question, but keeping the capacitive buttons offers us more real estate, correct? The GNex can get away with having on-screen buttons since the screen itself is like 4.7", not 4" like the Epic...
Beyond the aesthetic value, is there something I'm missing related to the capacitive buttons?

I think it'll just come down to preference. Some people just like the idea of the on-screen buttons, even if it takes up some space.

i only get bugged about is my damn "FAT BATTERY" they say stupid things like " OMG like your phone is too huge" or "that's ugly as hell" whats funny as hell when i don't have my charger by my side 24/7 because i can along time with having to recharge it.
Lol well if the sgs 3'sbattery is the same as the epic 2 and ours then ill prolly be swiping one of those 2100 mah or the extended ones that will come i can see up to 4000 mah if the battery as big as ours will start off at 2100 mah

I can see this to get the task switcher button. Holding the home button only works 50/50 for me as it will think I let up and just pushed it rather than hold it. May be worth losing the screen real-estate to improve multi-tasking.
It really isnt that much heres what you do set ur default screen density to 320 like the gnex then reboot clear the market data press accept then change the screen density to 200 so that it feels a little higher res this will make up for the loss in real estate.
