I would like to know which camera app your tab has installed with, cuz mine looks different to the one I see on those demos in youtube. The ones in youtube have a circle dial on the right hand side whereas mine is a traditional camera with parameter buttons on the left side of the window from top to bottom...
what abt yours guys?
Tks
Chris
I have the same thing. The ones on youtube are pre-release tablets with 3.0 not 3.1 on them.

Hi just got the phone and it really is amazing. first thing I can't help moving the screen quite close to my face and noticing the individual leds making all text look kinda fuzzy, is this the same for everyone. e.g. the black lines around text appear to have red dots running around them.
Also can the youtube player play hd content as it doesn't seem to look hd (especially next to my colleges iphone 4 - danm him lol)
The fuzzy text or screen door effect is caused by the PenTile Matrix. You really have to use the advantage of Chrome lite to make reading more pleasant. While it's possible to read text while fully zoomed out, it will not be as crisp as the iPhone 4's display at a zoomed out level.
Instead what you should do is zoom in a little and double-tap on the text. Chrome lite will re-flow the text so you only have to scroll vertically.
In the youtube player, the videos will default to lower quality. While the video is playing, you have to go to the menu, choose "more" and select High Quality mode.
That should alleviate it.
Hi thanks for your reply,
I have sen youtube to high quality but it still doesn't look hd to me, is it just me expecting too much or does anyone else agree it doesnt look hd?
Agree on the youtube issue. Definitely not HD.
I also tried the "Youtube HD" update from the Evo rom. Looks like it just replaces the menu quality option with a HQ bottom in the lower right corner, but looks exactly the same as with the stock app in so called HQ mode.
Anyone found a solution?
Hey there,
I just ordered my Note yesterday (coming back to xda-developers after switching to nokia for a few years ) and trying to spend the time while waiting for it.
I have seen some videos about the S-Pen capabilities to take screenshots, and show the menu etc... but I was wondering if it had a way to pinch/zoom in it.
If not any alternatives in doing this while holding the pen or you typically put the pen aside zoom and pick it up again ?
thanks
I believe you can zoom on a selected image / cropped image using both pen or fingers.
If I remember - there are six indicators on the image (3 on the left and right on the right) of whatever you select - they are small black arrows in a round circle which can be used for resizing the image or moving them around.
What are your opinions on running fullscreen apps? If I run a fullscreen app there is a little trigger at the bottom / right side of the screen, depending on the orientation. I think it is a little annoying, because sometimes I have to touch the far right side of the screen inside the app, and I accidently open to button bar instead.
How are videos handled? If you watch a video in fullscreen, do you still get the little trigger icon at the right side of the screen?
Hello
I was very much interested in LG G6 and have even ordered it once in eBay yesterday and cancelled it after getting to know one information none of the reviewers have pointed it out.
I have heard that most of the 3rd party applications would show black border even in portrait mode because of the aspect ratio difference.
But I was also been told that applications would automatically utilise the entire screen at least in portrait mode.
I have also heard that LG provided scaling function is not of great help as well.
I am from India and I am not sure how much time it would take for the developers here to update their application for a new screen aspect ratio.
Please provide your valuable inputs.
I am upgrading from Nexus 5x
This model released just 4 months ago so expect little delay with specific apps but LG's scaling works fairly well in standard apps, I would say stick with ur current phone for few months.
Thanks for your kind reply.
I am using the mobile phone mostly for applications and in portrait mode itself and would watch YouTube videos also.
I am not using the mobile phone for gaming.
Can you please post some photos of the scaled applications ?
I heard that the navigation bar would be in black colour even when an application scaled.
Are all Google applications and prominent 3rd party applications support the 18:9 aspect ratio?
yes the navigation bar does turn black but it will be hidden under the app your are using in full screen and pull down on noti panel will bring back the navi buttons, so if u watch YouTube videos after scaling u won't see any back bar while in full screen.

You mean I won't see black borders while youtubing in fullscreen?
yes but only if the content is in 18:9 format, lets say if u resize YouTube app and the video is also coded in 18:9 format then the bar will be hidden, at least that's my experience on couple of occasions so far.
Since the four corners of the screen are not square as with my old phone, it appears certain apps are not taking that into account and as a result, information is being cut off from view. See attached screenshot... does anyone have any suggestions or do I need to consider returning this phone because that is just crazy
To be more clear particularly the bottom left corner(in this example) nearly half of the time information is blocked from view
Yeah, I see that as well in apps that try to use the whole screen
Is it because you are using navigation gestures?

In that specific example, I suppose yes. But even with nav bar enabled, watching a video in landscape the same thing happens.. it's pretty annoying
