Hey,
Now we are getting one new ROM per week so what is your favorite one?
And why
Mine are sense and miui
Sense: nice look, stable (not much bugs)
Miui: nice look, funny to play around, nice animations, fast Rom (more bugs then sense)

Agree with you.
Z's rom is almost flawless,just the probldm associated to few reboots and camere prevent the rom to become flawless for me

+1 to Z's awesome 2.2 beta. I use it as my main rom and apart from camera everything works flawlessly. I really hope Z will finish this one as I'd really like to have one fully working custom rom.

Eminence V1.2 + JIT V2 is the best for me.
Fast, nice looking and stable.

so many choices, to be able to vote, i need to have tried all those roms.

Been running z 's 2.2 since it came out love it fast stablish, odd reboot nothing major, don't use camera so not fused. Real nice Rom, saying that looking forward to j 's gingerbread to have a play, not into the sense or miui roms.

the one thing i found was i had international data warning triangle in task bar
i just went into settings
wireless&networks and unchecked and rechecked data
also i changed the setting in system selct from home to automatic
still trying to pin point the issue

ok so i been sidetracked went back to unrooted stock and rerooted cuz my root explorer said i didnt have root access and now all is good idk what the prob. was i just flashed rom and bout to get into it first thing is what happened to file manager i like that i hate the astro icon haha

YAY! can't wait for screenshots!! v20 workin super sexy for me although some screenies could convince me to switch it up ^^. GOD i wish i wasn't secretly getting bored of my Eris.. which is totally unreasonable i think because my phone is faster than almost anyone else's lol im just tired of looking at the same thing for 2 years :/ also, too bad the Tbolt is too big for me lol kuz i'd love to follow you Tazz!!! really <3

Btw.. what ive noticed and i think it has been mentioned before is.. after it boots up.. give it a few seconds before setting up.. seems to go quicker

Ok so gps, calls, text works good. seems very smooth just running launcher 2.
screen off and on animation worked for a mintute then i rebooted and not working now.
i had a friends send me a picture and i did not receive it so that may be problem
ill run it till tomorrow and see if i notice anyonther problems. other then mms its great

okies i'll stick with the other than. v20 is pretty ridiculous ^^ can't wait till they come out with a new gapps. why? idk the difference necessarily but i have a sad obsession with updates.... :/ lol you should see me at home when i'm bored i spend hours looking for updates lol filehippo ftw!!! kinda miss WoW though not gonna lie. because that was totally related ^^ PERFECT WORLD FTW!

Ok i fixed the market to say verizon....also ill look at the apn...i believe thats been a issue for some people on roms.. i think the trick was the apn fix for mms .. someone correct me if im wrong

aosp is pure ginger bread ,no bells and whistles ,,,,, only thing cm left in this rom should only be settings

Downloading now, was using the other aosp but had issues not receiving texts and losing gps. Fingers crossed yours works cus i love the speed and battery of plain Jane

Ok for some reason I'm not getting 3g only 1x I have no idea what happened it's not my area Droid 2 has 3g. I even switch to Ginger tazz and had 1x any idea's?

MIUI, Cyanogen, or Sense ROMS??

which guys do you use and WHY?
i use Sense roms mainly for 1 reason...AUTO-FOCUS on VIDEO RECORDING...
i tried MIUI but uninstalled
tried CYANOGEN but eventually went back to SENSE roms.
as off 4/30 i am using MIUI_1.4.29_OsiMood v1.2 + WiFi Calling/ and i must say, i am kinda feeling the overall performance and ui. Might stick to this for a while.

Using CM7 because I've heard it's the quickest and with the best battery life. Never tried Sense outside of store demo's; while pretty I've heard it has lower battery life.
Never tried MIUI, though it looks interesting.

Which miui did you flash? The newer versions have wonderful ui, in my opinion xD ive never really stuck with sense just because there isn't much choice as far as customization goes. Ive run it for a few months though, and my battery life stayed the constant 12 hour drain cycle. Cyanogen is the g2's bread and butter, but UDroid is a good competitor for 2.3.3. Im using the sensation rom that rmk just ported. Just glitchy enough to be usable
It kinda depends on what you want in a rom. The best way to know what to flash is to try it out for yourself.

but found that alarm clock would force close and alot of other apps would force close.

never tried miui, but have tried a sense rom, and immediately went back to CM7. even with CM problems at times, it has been the best overall. I did not like sense at all. Sense tho does have some nice widgets and i would like to have some of them on CM7. beyond that, ill stick with CM7, my phone only started acting out when i changed from CM to other roms so ill be staying with CM7 period. my phone had no problems until i changed to another rom. so i guess im more scared to try other roms now lol

Am for MIUI all the way... It's just a personal like thing you know.

Well, i like Sense rom as it link my FB,Twitter & contact with great Clock/Weather/Friendstream Widget. It's free (unlike Launcher Pro that u need to pay). once got the OC kernel, my Desire Z is superb!

Cyanogen doesnt have autofocus on picture/video?
I strangely doubt that and even if it doesnt, there is problably a alternative.

Don't ever use another miui that isn't from ganii. His rom's are always more stable for some reason. He just released his version of .29, you might wanna use that instead.

I think that's your personal opinion... I dont use Ganii Miui rom. I have nothing against Ganii I think his a great dev.

I say cm7 is the best. But it all comes down to what u like personally. My girl has virtuous and thats a hell of a good rom too. I might try the new miui soon.

agreed... shouldn't really hate on other devs miui's. they both work great and ive had no issues with either.. i use both depending on what i feel like updating to..
im currently running ganii 4.22.. i don't wanna update and have no reason to latest build of miui.. change log doesn't interest me, and i don't wanna have my theme uncompatable or lose trackpad wake.
and miui has never lagged for me, and shown better battery life than cm7, cm7 kinda gets "boring" after a while.. just personal opinion thou.. i like it, but i like the customization of miui better. plus its alot easier to change themes.
idc for sense.. i havent used it for a while, but i always had some lag issues although im sure they are fixed now, and customization was minimal.. besides there sense layouts..

umm I'm on UD ROM 3.3.0 and i can truly say im pleased with my G2 at the moment, but I've always wanted to try a Miui Rom, but i don't know where to find it? can anyone provide some links and tuts?

MiUI Rom

After trying numerous versions of all three, I usually stick with a custom version of CM7 or Stock GB roms. MIUI, while pretty, just doesn't do it for me. I don't like the layout. Sense is nice, but once again, I don't like how it is setup.

Ever since I flashed OsiMood MIUI, I've never looked back. I've tried CM, Ultimate Droid and MIUI and the latter just has everything that I want in my phone. I've only tried Sense on somebody elses phone but didn't like it one bit.
MIUI is not only visually stimulating, but also has a great UI and is very easy to theme. Everything about it is just great and I would recommend it before any other ROM.

Ever since I tried MIUI OsiMood 1.06.03 I never seen anything so good. I am comfortable with the iPhone UI and the fast blazing feel. However the battery life is a little off, so you might need to download "JuiceDefender" but everything else the keep improving so no need to worry, the battery life gets better and better every update. You guys should give it a spin. This rom is amazing!!!

I personally dont like CM roms cause i enjoy the sense look and sense widgets.
so im looking for a decent STABLE sense rom that allows me to use netflix.

I run cm7 but I never delete my sense nandroids. I personally think 4.6 is by far the "fastest" 2.2 sense rom imo. There's other great ones like konis elite III, azrael 4.0, and myns warm 2.2. (Netflix works on all of these lol)

ok well i will keep that in mind. thank you. i tried to get 4.6 but i had to register and im not a fan of waiting on activation emails....

No problem man. I know wht you mean that's the one thing that pisses me off about miks roms. I hate that he doesn't at least host one mirror on the xda thread smh.

i think back when i tried his rom in feb is when i saw is hosted on xda but converting over to his site. but then i went to MIUI which i loved. and recently i switched to some gingerbread roms.

i'm running myn's 2.2 rls5 and netflix works great on it

VaelPak 3.2 RC2 stable rom, I am amazed this rom does not get more pub...

i'm using mikfroyo and netflix appears to be working flawlessly.

Haven't really used Sense roms in awhile, when I did I always went with Mike roms. Best sense roms I've used aside from Virus roms.

What other ROM but unity?

Hey guys,
What others roms are good but unity ? my phone doesn't last that much, battery goes down pretty quick without heavy use. no more than 14 hours .
Anything good non sense ?

Well, I've been using HoneySense 8 released a few days ago and battery life is incredible. Give it a shot maybe? UI is awesome. Has some quirks yet though' but it's stable. Only problems I've found is the innability to use front-facing camera in the stock app and well, what everyone is talking about in the thread, not being able to use wi-fi calling.
EDIT: OH sorry, if you're looking for anything other than sense, MIUI is my other choice. Used it for a few months back when I had a T-Mo G2/desire Z. I don't know the specs on how it works on the MyTouch 4g, but there's already an official release and some mods out there~ look em up.

my progression:
CM7, Unity, Royal Ginger and now MIUI
Loved Royal Ginger but I like the camera, messaging and dialer on MIUI so i'm staying with it. Plus you can sent MMS on WIFI with MIUI.

MIUI all the way. using the demonspeed mod and TDJ's kernel, its just awesome. great battery life(my best was 23hrs on a full charge), performs very well, and has many themes for customizing. check it out

Derek offers a excellent ROM, and he's quite helpful with your problems(unless you're rude), but besides that it's my top recommendation.

but i think MIUI is unstable sometime
especially when im playing music ,it break down and i just cant shut the power down since it doesnt response ,the only way to solve is to remove battery

My first rom was virtuous unity(sence3.0).. great one! then I tried virtuous doubleshot(sence3.0) and now using MexDroidmod (based on Cyanogen?) Fast and good battery life. Now I need to figure out what next lol
