wireless ps3 gaming/chat pad works on xformer! - Eee Pad Transformer General

I can't believe this works! Looking at how it doesnt use bluetooth for wireless connection i was curious if it would work on the xformer . I first plugged it in with the usb cord and it will not work however when I plugged in the wireless dongle it synced wirelessly from xformer to controller ,Everything is functional on our transformer and I picked it up at walmart for 29.99
BONUS! it flipps out and turns into a full functional chat pad with a blue backlight! So if u connect the xformer to the tv u can sit back on your sofa and chat or surf the net with ease

Newegg is over priced so go to your local walmart and buy it there
Also there are 2 sholder buttons aswell

So this is a viable replacement for a joystick is what you're trying to say? Missing the analog stick is a downer.

Can any one direct me to a controller that I can use without having the dock? Needs to sync wirelessly via Bluetooth!
Thanks

[Q] USB to RJ45 adapter?

Like to check with Transformer Guru here.
The Situation : If we travel overseas (e.g) China, some hotel does not provide wireless internet, but they only provide wired LAN.
Hence, since the transformer dock comes with USB, can we connect a USB 2.0 to RJ45 10/100 Fast Ethernet Network Converter Adapter.
But i notice that they said need OS support, so i guess there must be installation for driver. If that is the case, it won't work.
I travel frequently, and like to replace my existing net book to the Transformer.
But if i can't access the internet and my mails in the hotel, then it will be useless.
Any advise?
Thanks in advance!!

Funnily enough, I'm overseas right now with my Transformer - in Shanghai!
I can confirm that in my hotel there's only wired internet, and I can also confirm that my TF does not work with the USB->RJ45 adaptor that I use with my Macbook Air. In the particular hotel I'm in at the moment, my Macbook Air can't connect to the network with the adaptor either, but I'd tested the TF with it before at home and it didn't work there either (whereas it does with the Macbook Air).
However, I travel frequently for work, so I'd already prepared for this eventuality by having one of these travel routers:

So, if I turn up at a hotel with only wired internet, I plug this into the ethernet connection and create my own WiFi network.
Works well, and has the added advantage that all my other devices (Macbook Air, phones etc) can use the same wireless connection.
Regards,
Dave

Moderators should add a 'Usefull Gadgets' sticky! that could be in it
Ha!
I just came back from Shanghai!
I have thought of wireless, but i tot by using the adapter.
i can carry less wire, and smaller gadget, and pay a little lesser.
Seems like there is no way out.
i had an extra RJ45 adapter and i cut the end off and wire up a standard USB cable and it didnt work. i know this use to work with my cheap chinese tablet so i have a feeling android can support this functionality and it just needs to be unlocked.

XBOX360 Remote to Acer USB

Anybody have any luck with connecting their xbox remotes? Via bluetooth or USB?
Ive connected it but it doesnt work so far, kind a of a let down.
Any suggestions are welcome.
I'm an xbox dude so thats why i opened this thread.
The xbox remotes use infrared so no dice there. There has been muliple posts and videos on youtube showing how to connect a wireless controller but that requires a donagle

Do you mean the infrared media remote? Or the xbox 360 game controllers?

Remote is a no go, wired controls OK and wireless with dongle is ok

[Q]360 Controller through OTG

Hey, I know its possible and I've done some reading but couldn't find anyone in a similar situation as me.
I want to use 360 controller, not PS3 with six axis. Never liked PS3's so CBA buy a controller just for nexus.
I have a "Wireless" 360 controller.
But I have the charging cable, that goes from Xbox (USB) to the controller, and sort of hugs the controller and battery (to charge)
If I plugged this in, then put it through an OTG cable into my Nexus 7 what would happen?:
Nothing?
Would it just charge?
Or would it become functional and allow me to use it for games?
THANKS !
Charging cable only charges the battery. No data is transmitted.
If you like your 360 controller, I recommend you get the official wired Xbox 360 controller from Amazon. It's pretty cheap and is amazing with games that have native controller support.
If you want to use your wireless controller, you will have to buy a wireless adapter and follow this tutorial
Hope this helps
Probably not work, I tried the same with my sons wireless on the PC through the charge cable. The controller was detected but only charge worked.

Great, thanks for the answers.
Thought it was a long shot but worth an ask
Again thanks you 2 !

Wired Xbox360 Controller works over OTG

Just wanted others to know that this works really well, I tested it a few minutes ago.I believe the wireless ones need power, but the USB wired one doesn't, which is why I bought it a long time ago. I did not test my wireless controllers with my wireless usb dongle, but can if people are interested.
The wireless ones will never work any other way besides wirelessly... the cable only syncs it to the computer/xbox and then proceeds to transmit wirelessly as normal. Good to know the wired ones will work though :good: .

Xbox One OTG Support?

I have a LG V20 (8.0), and I'm trying to use my XBOX controller. It's not lighting on. Any tips?
Just spotted LGH990_LGH990DS_LGH990TR_Oreo_Android_v20a posted at opensource.lge.com/osSch/list?types=ALL&search=990
What am I supposed to do with this?
@Remphz
I don't know if you will be able to because from what I've read you can't just plug the controller into the phone via OTG because the controller doesn't connect through the wire it only connects via wireless and the cable just does syncing and charging duties. You would prolly need the wireless adapter that came out for using them with Windows 10 PCs.

Maybe you could with a 3rd party wired controller but there is no official wired controller as far as I've seen
