why? lightflow is the app that gives you LED notifications. the obvious solution is to not listen to you.
OP - have you made sure that Lightflow still has accessibility checked off in your phone's settings?
Settings > Accessibility > check box Accessibility > check box Light Flow

I've noticed that my GS4 running a stock GE-based ROM doesn't have LED notifications enabled for missed calls, which I find quite perplexing given that LED notifications are working just fine for text messages and other events (e.g. charging).
Is there any way to enable LED notifications for missed without having to install an app? I just don't want another app unnecessarily running in the background.
Thanks.
Is it not an option in Settings > Display ?

No, I only have Settings > Display > Pulse notification light (checked). There are no options to turn LED notifications for individual events and turning the pulse ntification light turns them for everything but missed calls.
I also heard that Nexus 4 has the same problem. I was wondering if anyone has come up with a mod/script to enable notification light for missed calls as well.
ahh sorry.. I misunderstood exactly what you were asking.
I notice that when i receive messages from LINE, there is not LED notification. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, disable and enable the LED notification in LINE and even tried 3rd party apps to control it but am still not getting any LED notification.
Other apps like FB chat, Whatsapp....all gives me LED notification when i receive a messages except LINE. Based on this, it cannot be that the LED is faulty right? Is there anyway to check? Or does anybody knows why only LINE is not showing me LED notification? I've tried everything i can think off :crying:
thought i was the only one who cannot see LED notification of LINE on Note 3...

Means to say you are having the same issue?
You found any work around?
I use light manager led settings from playstore and works in any app.

No, i've been looking for the solution too. Just tried light manager, it works with everything but LINE..
the latest line update fixed this bug!
Verizon LG G2
Stock/Rooted
Up until yesterday front LED notifications worked flawlessly. I decided to backup my current ROM and ever since the notifications have not worked. I get the vibration (even custom vibrations that I have setup) but no LED.
Confirmed:
Screen is off
Notifications are turned on
LED works for incoming & missed calls
What I've tried:
Restore the backup from last night (no luck)
Uninstall/Reinstall GoSMS and restored GoSMS settings (no luck)
Uninstall/Reinstall GoSMS only - from a fresh Play Store download (no luck)
Completely uninstalled GoSMS and reverted to stock message app (LED notification works)
-Do not have LightFlow installed. Did try it a few months ago, couldn't get it to behave the way I wanted.
-No other LED "controls" installed.
-Gmail LED notifications not working either
As previously stated, no changes to the device other than backing up the ROM. No new downloads, customizations, etc.
Dear God...I'm going mad, any advice?
Within the display > led section... have you enabled downloaded apps switch... if you have that disabled the third party apps leds don't work

Thanks for the reply. Can you be a little descriptive? I don't see anything about 3rd party apps in the Settings > Display Section (or in the Notification Light section).
Settings > Display > notification led> Downloaded apps... that box needs to be checked

I don't have that option on Verizon.
Oh hmm sorry then no idea ... I just know if whenever I disable that checkbox my third party app leds never work
I factory reset the phone, problem fixed.
Mine blinks once when messages etc com in but that's it,no continuous blinkjng until I read text etc,can this be altered, also I think I read there are APS to set different colours or patterns for notifications ,is this correct ?
Try installing lightflow, might fix it. I got the paid version
Mine blinks until I acknowledge the notification.
Installed light flow very cool thanks
Use that $50 to upgrade to lightpro pro, then you can control any app.
Lightflow is not working at all for me. What settings are you using?
All i get is the super slow white led that is default for the phone. I've setup lightflow in the past for my N5, so I'm not sure whats up with the 6p.
I bought it so just set it up in the settings of the app and added what I wanted

I don't have my 6p yet but I've used lightflow in the past. Did you try turning on the lightflow service under the accessibility section of the settings?
Also, you guys that successfully got lightflow working.....are you able to get any and all colors you want kinda like you can on the N5?

It needs to be turned on in Notification Access.
Accessibility section doesn't do it.
Got it working posting how to now
thanks guys!
It's driving me insane that everytime I turn my screen on to lockscreen, my light flow notification titls, shows for half a second and then disappears. If I block the notifications from app settings, lightflow stops working.
Anyone having same issue?
Lightflow is working fine for me. I haven't noticed that.

The only time I have seen this is with a small number of apps that must have a different way they implement LED notifications. In those apps, I have to disable the LED notification from within that specific app. When I say a small number, for me it is like... 2 of 80 apps or something.
This is my lightflow notification problem..

This happened with their latest app update to help with Marshmallow improvements. Developer is aware and said they should be doing something to fix it....but it's been a week already.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you're talking about the persistent notification. Yes, it is something he has had to do in order to support future development on Android 6.0. I believe he is working on a means to give people access to the prior version if they want it, but it would be feature frozen (i.e. no more new features).
Check out this on his site: http://www.reactle.com/2015/10/changes-for-android-6-marshmallow.html
And you can star the issue here to bring attention to it with Google: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=190997
