What's your favorite custom ROM so far? What are you running currently?

I am curious about which ROMs everyone is running and enjoying the most.
Please redirect me if such a thread already exists. I searched the DI forums and didn't find one.

Lovin' me some tasty Froyo, with Sky Raider 1.9.

CM too. Tried Sky Raider, but CM is just so clean and fast I had to switch back. I can live without a camera for a couple weeks

Interested to see the replies to this one as well - I would love to go to CM6, but losing the camera means too much to me right now (work related, sadly).

I tried out CM6 (Koush_Test) last night. The one interesting thing I noticed, was the battery was draining like crazy. The battery stat said the display was utilizing 75%.
I went back, due to not having the Camera... When you have kids, I need to be ready.. It was fun to mess with.

I am on Jager 1.8ota and stock kernel and I love it I was on his 1.8 with the hydra 1.13 kernel which is really great too!

Stock 2.1! I have overclocked/hacked every electronic device in my house that could possibly have it done except for my phone. I want to wait for the official Froyo OTA update then have a go at it (in the meantime I will just have to settle with jtagging my Xbox 360 and setting it up to run games off an external HD =).

Been using 1.2 yasr and have been really happy. I think i just like launcher pro though. Love to do cm6 but the camera is an issue for me as well. Official froyo will be welcomed.

How is pmf yasr? I habe heared it was good, but i never got around to it.

It's good. Basically rooting your phone, removing the junk (sense included), leaving exchange support and adding launcher pro.

It's way better it's like stock ROM but without sense and a lot faster and it has great batterylife!! i'm actually using it and it proved that it's the best out there, with an undervolt and overclock hydra kernel you don't need anything else, would love to use skyrider 1.9 but i'm waiting for the camera, i already tried jagger, CM and basically everyone on incredibleroms dot com and believe YASR is way better if you need link just search here in the forum yasr 1.1! =) cheers

all rogers apps sucks :-( is it hard to uninstall it with titanium backup???

So is it worth updating from .435 to this?

Yes i can,you can use flash tool 26 root,and use titanium backup,I did that.

you can try it, not much else, it was to Rogers brazil

The only updates that was worth it was - 1,6 to 2.1 and 2.1 NO DT to 2.1 with DT rest.. meh

I had some troubles updating to .435 by flashing (but I finally achieved it), but I think it was an important update 'cause dualtouch, so I'd rather to wait until a build ROM that brings another real improvement (16 M colors, perhaps? let me dream )

There's no real difference between the two from what I can gather other than the Rogers apps and the new baseband/build number. They seem to be pretty much the same firmware otherwise from what I can gather.

Yeah, screw it....Im gonna stick to what I got now on .435 world generic. Well, and of course FreeX10

Flashed from World Generic .435 back to Rogers 2.1, updated to this with SEUS and now theres no camera shutter sound no matter what i do (reset camera settings, change shutter, change system volume) -_-"

If you are using swype you may want to skip this. My swype keyboard no longer swypes and can only be used as a normal keyboard

Perhaps your swype trial has expired. Mine did yesterday so I downloaded SlideIT. Very similar.

Just reinstall Swype and you're good to go. This happened to me as well and reinstalling fixed it. I posted about this in the other thread about this firmware. Hope this helps. Just remember to uninstall all traces of it before reinstalling it.

I guess warttack and some other will be starting up their on miui Inc site...

I was wondering what was going on with the site. Warttack and NIX are no longer porting for the Inc, however, War said he will post new builds on Twitter.
MIUI has been my daily for about 3 months now. I was missing some aspects of HTC Sense so I gave Warm Z a try and it is a very nice ROM. The problem is MIUI's UI just blows everything out of the water and is soooooo smooth. It's hard to use anything else!

miui+tiamat 3.3.8 kernel is bombass. on top of that, i recommend the ilstonerules theme because its the most stable iphone theme. depends on what your into though. i used to be all about lp, but switchin it up every now and then is fun. miui is a great daily

Yeah! Wart, NIX, Wow all have decided to part ways with MarkHuk and the site but im sure they'll post them on this site... I also saw somewhere that they have a new site coming up. I think Warttack posted it, I went to it and it said coming soon! SOOOOOOOO lets hope for the best!
Ive been on this ROM forever now and have no means of switching. If worst comes to worst ill port it myself like i did with it when it 1st started. (its just time consuming)
Its a sad day when Devs cant get along and people have personal agendas that get placed in the negative light!

I don't use Twitter either but you can still go to the site and search for Warttack though.

2.3.3 has some known bugs that 2.3.4 fixes, at no cost to you beyond a few minutes of your time. Only you can decide if fixing bugs for free is worth it for you...

If mytouch is rooted n I'm running gingerbread 2.3.3 with royalginger can I just download the link n update? And does it erase all my date n apps?

I'm currently running 2.3.3, and I've rooted my phone 1-2 weeks ago using GingerBreak (the app from the forums).
I'm curious if that method still works on 2.3.4? Anyone tried it?

i dont know why you prefer it,but every body has their own taste. i doubt any dev would want to work on this.so dont get your hopes high

i prefer somebody port timescape and mediascape from 1.6 or 2.1..
timescape on 2.3 is totally useless; media players have barely any function; and most importantly, infiniteview only links you to the phonebook..
and actually 1.6's background picture is very pretty in my opinion if you compare with the three android system SE provides
