Hi guys,
I have been searching for the answer to my issue, but can't find anything... sorry if it has been covered elsewhere
I have just rooted my X8 for the first time and have installed kuyaDROID V2.3.108
Everything seemed to be working brilliantly and I was so pleased with it. However I have now noticed that my bluetooth isn't working quite right. My car has bluetooth built in as standard and until installing kuyaDROID I never had any problems. Now I can still connect to it, get into my contacts, make and receive calls, however I can't hear anything. The people I call can hear me, but nothing comes out the car speakers.
Has anyone got any ideas as to what is going on ?
Thanks
Boolandy
Anyone ?
Is this only happen when in call?
how about using another Bluetooth features?
coz I change audio manager when enabling FM radio, maybe something is missing.
I know that other custom rom is using the same source, and having a same problem.
(there are new thread like this)
so maybe those are problem.
I can look for it, but I can't test it, I don't have Bluetooth device.

Thanks for replying Kuyagaol.
Yes this problem only happens during a call... both making or receiving a call that is.
When you say you changed audio manager, is that the DSPManager installed as part of your ROM ? If so then I will try changing some settings in there... maybe that will fix it ? I did notice again last night that when trying to make a call the car speakers (via bluetooth) are making noise... almost like the volume is very low and you just get a slight 'hiss' noise. So maybe the volume settings on the audio manager are low ?
I will have a play with the settings in DSPManager later, unless you tell me this isn't going to help.
I just want to say what a brilliant ROM this is, and that my phone is 100% better now (apart from bluetooth) and would recommend it to anyone !
Im not sure if this have to do with dspmanager, but u can try it.
here is the thing, we are not use libaudio from latest cm.. due to FM radio we change audio manager in framework.jar based on minicm source.
if u ever try racht hackdroid did this happen to?
coz that rom did not change his audio manager.
but if in that rom this bug exist then the problem "maybe" in libaudio or somewhere else.

Right I have tried changing some settings in dspmanager and my bluetooth is now working !
So there doesn't seem to be any issues with your rom here... thank you so much for your help and guidance
I have one more question though... I see you have created a newer version of your rom... can I install this and not lose all my settings ? or if I install it do I have to set everything back up again ?
Thank you

Ok so, recently my blutooth quit workin when I recieve a call. Well, the speaker on the phone works instead of the one on the blutooth. The mic on the blutooth still works though. When I make a call, both the mic and speaker on the blutooth work fine. I tried loadin a different radio version but that didnt work. So I was playin around with it and found that when I recieve a call, if I go to the menu and turn hands free off at the top, then the speaker on the blutooth works. Ive had this blutooth a while and it worked fine before, but Im thinkin I might have changed somethin in the phone without knowing it. Is there anyway I can get the blutooth to work without having to manually turn hands free off? Thanks.
have a read through the "stuck in car kit mode" threads, you could be suffering from that.(that thread is in the regular leo section i think)

Ill go take a look now. Thanks!
Ok, my problem is a little different. I dont have the Navipanel pop up, and my display doesnt stick in landscape mode. Also, I should have been more clear in the first post. When the blutooth is connected the sound still comes from the headset speaker, not the speaker phone speaker, or the blutooth speaker.
As soon as I turn hands free off in the in call menu, the problem is solved. How can I make that my default?
ahh gotcha, no clue then, sorry.
Well, thanks anyways lol.
I flashed a few different ROMs on this phone before I decided I liked the stock one best. So , I loaded Ver. 2.13.531.1 and after some digging it seems that this ROM doesnt play well any blutooth devices. Im gunna try another stock ROM and see if I can get it to work.

I use the originial 2.10 stock ROM still, and I have no problems using either my regular BT headset (old plantronics 620), or my newer stereo BT headset (plantronics backbeat 903)
Im hopin thats all the problem is. Im gunna try it after work and see if thats it.
I recall an option, something along the lines of "play system sounds on headset" that might be your issue?
I will need to do some digging around in my phone again to find exactly where the option was though.
update-
ok, found the option - in the Bluetooth manager, go to settings (the gears tab) select advanced, audio, and the option is called "Play system sounds on remote hands-free device"
give that a try and see if it solves your issue.
No dice with system sounds settings. Thanks though.
Startin on loadin another ROM now.
It wasnt the ROM. Im gunna blame it on the headset. Im at least gunna try another one and see if thats it. Hopefully it is.
Well it wasnt the headset. Tried a brand new one, and I still have the exact same problem.
In case anyone is interested, I called HTC to see if they could help me out. They told me I would need to contact my service provider and try to escalate the matter so that my service providers tech department would try to develop a patch to fix the problem.

Really! I'm using Ver. 2.13.531.1 and sony folding BT headphones/headset and, once I paired them, my HD2 and sony headphones/headset adore each other.
I tried different roms curently using hyperdroid/ Miri with no success the phone always crashes when i pair/connect my bluetooth and try to make call. I followed directions of a poster to pair/connect and unpair and reboot. It worked once and then same problem again.
I want to use android on a regular basis but cant use it without bluetooth. Can anyone help ? Thank you !! I searched this forum and on the web for a while before posting this. If you have a solution please help.

Try different kernels. I've found that even though I continue to use the same build (ShubCRAFT 1.5), when I swap kernels I get differing results with the BT headset.
Media Audio tends to work whatever, I've had no problems with that, but phone audio is a different matter.
I've been using michyprima's r11 kernel lately (noAXI) and that seems to just about work but I do have to make a call and press the Bluetooth button immediately initially to get it to work.
Even then, it's flaky, as when the phone rings and I press the answer button on my BT headset, it brings up the Voice Dialer dialog over the top of the phone app and doesn't answer the call. I've resorted to only connecting BT to media and not using it for the phone.
I appreciate that doesn't solve your problems - I've simply decided to try each and every kernel until it's fixed! I'm sure the wonderful devs here will get round to fixing it soon but I think they've probably got other things higher up on the priority list right now!
I'm using a Sony Ericsson MW600 BT headset btw.
hello sorry for my English
my jabra bt hyperdroid on 1.2 works, but sometimes there is more sound for the march to re-I does not restart it by pressing the restart button, but I removed the battery!
For me works like that
success
I forgot to tell you that I deactivated the sound of media
I have searched the Desire hd section for any Bluetooth problems, but seems that im the only one with a problem????!!!
My Bluetooth conectivty SUCKS with any headsets!
i have tried 4 diffrent headsets! and all "god" ones.
But i get the same result, as soon as i move i get lots of bad sound (Donw know how to explane, but like a Tv sound without a signal)
and i have to have the phone at a maximum of 5-10 cm so i can get a "good" listning sound.
The person who talkes with me have no problems.
I tested with 3 diffrent Nokia BT
one of them is bh-606
Jabra Bt as well.
I have the latest firmware. But lots of apps in my phone? can that cause a problem?
Try settings/energy saving function/ deactivate bluetooth. (Turn off)

Hmm Thanks but that only says that it will close Bt connection while there are no calls active?!
I can alsaw add that my Wifi Connection sucks aswell. tried it with 3 routers. and if im not in the same room so the connection is not even detected! But if im in the same room i came upp to 18 mb download with a speed test app. So the Range seems to be a problem both for the BT and Wifi.
Update your radio. Find how to by reaching.

1,72.405.3
isnt that the latest radio?
The settings/energy saving function/ deactivate bluetooth. (Turn off)
Didnt help
And i really dont wanna make a hard reset and reinstall all my apps and settings! and i dont have root so i can make a backup of all that.
1,72.405.3 is rom, not radio
look in the development forums, in one of the stickys there are the radios listed
but u'll need root + other things to flash a new radio

Have even tested more on the BT part and discovered that whenever im nearby any Electrical eqwipment like Pc or Tv it gets even worst!
At best its when i have it in 10 cm distance and with no electrical things around! and not moving at all. then its Near Okej.

Plz Any help here?
Need to use BT units while driving + at work and i cant!
Edit:
i did a little test today with a Stereo Bt unit!
then bt connection works well!
so it seems that the problem is a software issue and its only with mono bt units!!!
Yet a nother sieries of tests!
I have now concloded that its the Mono Bt units i have problems with, and that its a software issue!
I used the BT in my car, and the sound works without any problems..
And i tested with a Nokia Stereo Bt, and same there, even upp to 10 m i have a clear sound..
SO it seems to be only with regular mono Bt units i have this problem!
Any tips?
Hi,
I was checking the Rhodium Android forum, and found the following developing work:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1076884
Is anyone able to check if this may work on our blackstone?
I'm happy with the FRX6, but audio shutering and lack of BT make it not suitable for daily basis.
If someone make this fixes to work, pls post a tutorial!
Thanks
Audio stuttering has been 'worked around' ages ago, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=999544
As for BT, i don't know about that. In the second post there's something about Broadcom an TI chips, so if the Blackstone has a Broadcom chip why not just try it out. The instructions for the setup are all there in the thread
Let us know how it turns out

Why can't You try on your phone?
i had test libhtc_acoustic with acoustic supported kernel.Sound working but only on call speaker but not on loud speaker or audio jack.Need for viruscrazy to update the lib and kernel to support all devices.Audio stutter still there.Still no clean fix when u disable battery service during listen to mp3.You will end up listening to mp3 not knowing your phone going to die.Audio stutter will be fix when there are no resource and excessive service running
I've never seen a dedicated thread on this but I've seen people make off-hand comments about this issue from time to time. I think it started happening in Tytung R9 and higher kernels.
I am using a BlueAnt T1 Bluetooth headset. It pairs just fine and I can use it generally without any issue.
The problem comes when I use voice dialing to initialize a call from the Bluetooth headset. It connects to the phone and I get the normal Android "Speak now...." I speak my command "Call <person> on <service>...." It states the command back like normal and then _as soon as_ it switches to the phone app (eg, com.android.phone process) it locks up the phone and the only way to recover is to pull the battery.
If, instead, I go to the phone app, find the person, and call them that way (even with Bluetooth paired) it _always_ works without any problems. This isn't a long-term solution for me because I need to use voice dialing when I'm in my car.
Now that GPS looks to be fixed and CLK data over PPP is much more stable, this Bluetooth issue is the last thing standing between me and treating the HD2 as my full-time native Android phone (currently I tinker on the HD2 but use my Nexus One as my daily driver).
I've tried multiple different ROMs, from HyperDroid-CM7, HyperDroid-GBX, Typhoon CM7, and Nexus-HD2-Gingerbread. They all have the same issue though Nexus-HD2 appears to be worse than the others (that is, the problem happens more often there).
I've used the infamous audio.conf update as well as the various no-wonk and libaudio patches and none of them help this issue.
Anyone else experienced this and have any feedback on how you overcame it?
I have the same kind of problem and tried a lot of different ROMs - not help.
I tried Blueant ST3, Motorola t305.
Phone book copied to blueant very well, but voice dial has same simptoms like yours - even if phone does't hang sound goes away from phone permanently(needs reboot). Is there any other ROM which works well with bluetooth hadsfree?
Any one?
P.S. Looks like it is real problem, but non of developers pay attention to it - they just don't have handsfree maybe
Ι think that sense roms doesnt have this issue. But unfortunatelly they have other issues...

I've not actually tried a SENSE-based ROM but I understand from my research that they don't have the BT issue. Maybe it's possible to look into their architecture to understand what is different.
I expect that it's something in the kernel....
This is a very common issue. if it helps, BTvoice command works Fine in Froyo.. at least CM6 (I tested).

I think it is not the kernel, same kernel will crash in CM7 but no in CM6. I think the problem is related to the libaudio.so and other libs in system/lib.

are the Froyo-based builds still being maintained. I ask that from the perspective of "could I just use a Froyo build as my daily driver instead?"

I'm using it as my daily driver (CM6), I came back just bc of the calling issues in Gingerbread.
the build that I'm using has not been updated since Jan 7, however I applied around 10+ patches and now it works as good as the new builds.
I just tested again voice command.
No problems
During the voice command call I can switch from BT to speaker to audio piece, back to BT etc, no problems. Audio doesn't crash after call.
And no 60ma battery drain. it is around 5ma after the call with BT on.

just for clarity for other folks reading this thread, I assume that you're talking about a Froyo-based ROM.
i just verified the problem exists in MIUI as well. I tested MIUI since it's allegedly a "clean room" type of build environment.

Yes, I tested successfully in a Froyo based ROM.
I went back for a moment to CM7 and tested...sound couldn't return to the phone after calling with BT, also during the call I was not able to switch to speaker phone like I do in the froyo based ROM.
Tested with Tytung 1.9G Froyo - BT works just fine in all ways. Just need to keep GPS off(when not used) to avoid 60 ma current draw.
Tytung says BT Voice dail is just GBread problem.

It works fine on my Nexus One on Gingerbread, so I don't see how it can be a "gingerbread problem." If it was a "gingerbread problem" other devices would be seeing this as well.

Yes you are right. It is just what Tytung said(i asked in his thread). Probably he meant GB for HD2....Soon or later they will figure it out i think...
For now will use Froyo 1.9G....

AFAIK, some people have the sound issues, e.g. causing the phone app FC, since using Gingerbread 2.3.4.
But it doesn't affect all people, I don't know why.
No solution so far. To use Gingerbread 2.3.3 instead if you are one of them.

I finally found Tytung's exact quote as to why he won't look into the issue. It can be seen in context over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905060&page=524#
So, it might not be Froyo that's the fix but rather older versions of Gingerbread as well.
i have found a workaround fix for this bug.I tried it in tytung`s v2.9 rom and in dorimanx cm7 light rom with driztee v2 libaudio file. For bt voice commands i am using cyberon voice commander because google app doesnt support yet greek language
i connect my bt headset (motorola h300) and then i use super bt mono froyo free app https://market.android.com/details?id=com.steven.supermonofroyofree&feature=search_result to send audio to bt headset.
After pushing the bt headset button cyberon voice starts and i can give the command i want. After giving the command, audio goes back to the phone (you will hear a beep from phone speaker). The weird thing is that the audio is in extremely low level for hearing music but when you receive a call it is in normal level.
If i close super bt mono froyo app, audio returns to phone in normal level.
But if i accidentally (after i close the app) push the button for voice bt command, audio will disappear.
If the app is on and you receive a call, all audio will go again to bt headset and to return it to phone speaker after end call, i push bt headset, cyberon voice starts and i dont give any comand. After cyberon ends, audio goes back to phone with low level for media hearing.
Sure this isnt the perfect solution, but the important thing for me is that with this way, audio is not go away and i can give bt voice commands.
Also i tried bt mono app http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=950472 and it have a little different behaviour.I cant start from bt headset cyberon voice comander, but only from the phone and after giving a command, audio returns to bt headset if you have enable the setting "restart after call".So i think it maybe be helpful to people who want to have audio all time in a bt carkit.
Tested all 2.3.3 from Tytung - last working with r8.3 kernel. r9 and up not working.
So NexusHD2 v2.5 NAND(GB 2.3.3) with r8.3 latest working with BT voice dial ROM.

thanks for that follow-up and testing. I was wondering if whether or not it might be a "fault" in the VoiceDialer.apk or even in the Phone.apk. I have been using my Nexus One for daily stuff. I might try replacing VoiceDialer and/or Phone.apk in a newer ROM (eg AOSP 2.3.5 or so) with the old version and see if it works.
Ive wondered about this as it is to me the last issue I have with my HD2. Here is a search link for some entries in Tytungs rom & kernal thread...
