Just been seeing what app about work well with exchange mail and purchase enhanced email. Didn't work for me so clicked refund and uninstall but the app is still left under app but not in market place.
What's the best way to remove the app and data from my xoom? Its still stock UK 3G.
Just don't want it taking up space, as my mail box is 3GB on the server.

I had the same thing happen. The next day it was gone.

This is not exactly a vibrant specific question, but since I have a vibrant and I don't know where else to post it.
If I buy a paid app in the market (I have never bought one before), and then I root the phone (delete everything on it) or change the phone how do I get those paid apps back without paying for them again?
They always show up under your "downloads" and you can download them again at any time.

but how if I have never create an account how does the market know that I Bought that app.
with my ipad it's ok. since I have to create an account to buy apps. So I get it, but with the android I don't understand since I haven't create any account to buy apps in the android market
You have to create a gmail account to even access the market. I dunno how you would've bypassed this...
And rooting the phone won't delete anything on it

^ its flashing custom roms that "deletes" apps... you have to have a Google account, the app will permanently be on your account and you can re-download the app anytime.
The apps are tied to your Google account, so there's no need to create sone sort of new account for the market. They will always be under downloads on any Android phone you will get.

thank you guys, now I know how it works so its throught my google account he LoL sorry for be ignorant I just know the there will be a some custom room flashes for my vibrant in the future and didn't want to lose my apps.
I have several paid apps which I'd like to xfer to my xoom. Is this possible? I don't have the xoom yet but am going to buy the wifi version.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
If they are paid, im prettyy sure when you log into your google account, they will load right up.
Thus preventing you having to pay for the same app twice
All your apps on on your Google account on your phone will install to your xoom was long as its compatible with the xoom. I have even bought apps on my phone then used the web based market to install them to my xoom. You only buy the app once

i installed google voice...integrated it with my sprint phone number...how can i temove it? id rather use vvm again...thanks
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
With the standard google voice service you could do something like *38 to disable google voicemail.
However, this is not an option if you enabled sprint integration. You would first have to disable the sprint integration and then you'll have the option to remove google voicemail.
All this would have to be done from http://voice.google.com of course.
thanks for the reply...problem is..i deleted my gmail acct thinking it would get rid of google voice...any other way to do it?

I think that if you just removed it you "might" be able to re-enable it again.

another question, since i deleted my google acct, when i tried to redownload root explorer from the market, its asking me to buy it again (purchased a while back)...

Not a good move my friend.
You can fill out a form and possibly get your account reactivated. Hopefully you deleted the account only recently. Otherwise you may have to talk with sprint tech support and there's only so much they can do.
Anyways, check out the link below:
http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?answer=32046
Look near the top for the link to the form for deleted accounts and select "No" for the first question.
Let us know how it goes.
Am not sure if this is discussed somewhere.
Anyway, just to share.
Here's how:
Every mobile broadband card comes with a number, and that number will be used when you send / receive SMS.
- Download official Go SMS Pro here and install on your tablet
- Launch the app and send SMS to your other mobile number that you are using to make calls
- The sender number is what your friends will see when they read your SMS from Tab!
Enjoy
On European 3G devices, there is a stock app called Messages, so i don't think that third party app is needed.
For those with the wifi only version , check out TexTab.

Until Verizon releases Touchwiz for the LTE versions, this seems like a good alternative. I'm going to test it now.
EDIT: Does not work on mine, says "cannot send message, will send it when the service becomes available" and that message sits there forever until I uninstalled it.
That's because verizon blocks text messaging with their tablet plans.

Interesting... Strange that they advertise it as a capability, and plan on including it with their touchwiz update.

Yea I work for verizon and whenever I sell a tablet, a provision is loaded onto their account called "block text messaging". It's very odd indeed since the original galaxy tab allowed you to pick a texting bundle.

I simply use Google Voice on my wifi Tab. Works perfectly.

I been using Heywire and it works well, gave me a regular US number.
If anyone has a 3G tab with Touchwiz, but no Messages app. Try to send a sms to your data plan number, i think that the Messages app appeared after i received the first sms message from my operator.
Is it possible to rip an .apk from the phone? Something I installed via the market?
Yup. Its in /data/app then copy and paste to tour sdcard. Or adb pull it.

The apks? Probably.
Some will. Well most of your 3rd party apps from the market will. Some of the system .apk's won't. For example, I like the HTC Facebook. chat app, but when i tried to install it on Black Ice, it kept failing. Probably because it is a cyanogen based rom. Also my favorite search app is the Quick searck from TMobile with Google,Wikipedia Youtube,

MIUI has its own framework. Therefore, only those system apps will work on MIUI. Same goes for HTC. That's why it wouldn't work on Black Ice.
Also, just in case if you intend on trying to illegally distribute a paid app, some of them (I don't know how many, but probably many) have Market's legality check, and won't function when installed on a system they weren't purchased on.

I'll leave this one alone..while i dont encourage it anymore, or waste my time trying to get 2 or 3 dollar apps for free..i can tell you that there isnt an app on the net that cant be gotten for free. I didnt think it was wrong years ago, but it is. Oddly i still like some of my old buddies that havent changed yet but I am blessed and I dont do anything i cant explain to my 4 yr old.

I was specifically thinking about an app I paid for and want to install on my tablet though I have my tablet set up under a different gmail account. That's all. I can't be bothered to try to rip games or apps to save 3 or 4 bucks.
you still should be able to add a 2nd acct to your tablet, and then dl it...

Wait a sec... so I can add my phone's gmail account to my tablet, download the app, then switch back to the tablet's gmail account and actually see and use that app? I didn't think you could do that.
No, you won't see it downloaded. But you won't have to pay twice - if you paid for an app on your phone and you have the same account on your tablet, you will be able to download it on the tablet as well without paying again - you'll see the app as "purchased".

you can add the acct to your tablet, dl whatever app you purchased. You can leave both accts on your tablet and choose 1 as your primary acct. You can have mor than 1 acct on your device. when you open the app store press your menu button and select "accounts" and choose which one you want to use.
