OK, so I have had my Vibrant for about 9 months or so and want a new android device. Trying to figure out what I should get? Thinking about doing it in the next 2 weeks. I would like to have a duel core processor and a decent screen and maybe Gingerbread built in. Any ideas? T-Mobile don't seem to have very many devices with these specs! Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks a million!

I was looking at the HTC sensation tonight but I am not so sure now. It has a bootloaders for now. I am on month to month contract but I plan to be on a contract before AT &T takes over.
Might wait for this Samsung Hercules Device. If it's even real! Sounds to good to be true and $350 is way to much Moolah!

You have a FFC on your Vibrant? is that the one thing I heard about where you just manually put one in and use the i9000's camera app to use it? How could you trade in a G2 for a Vibrant? The G2 has FAR more dev support than most phones right now, it was like the second or first one to for Cyanogen to get 2.3 on it, that should tell you some thing right there.

No kidding. Going from the G2 to the Vibrant to a Nexus 1? Somebody needs to research their phones a little.
i have traded alot of phones on craigslist/kijiji. There are more buyers for a nexus one. Do the trade and sell the nexus one-it will be a quick sale though u might lose 50 or so, its still not too big a hit.

I would sell the vibrant and just wait for the chance for a cheap g2 to come out. I sold my vibrant for 250 and bought a g2 for 300(cheap since it was a few weeks after launch). Or hope someone wants to trade for a g2

You're not understanding, you can't take a phone (in this case the Epic) off your line unless you have a phone to replace it at that very moment.

what he's saying is:
If you sell your Epic, the phone will have to be deactivated from your account first. The only way to do that if you are on a contract is to replace the Epic with another phone so that line doesn't incur early termination fees.
Your options are
1: buy the Nexus first, activate it to your Epic line and then sell your Epic
2: if you have an old sprint phone lying around that is no longer in use then activate that on your Epic line, sell your Epic and then buy the nexus and replace your old throw away phone.

What I did when I sold traded my touch pro for the seller's touch pro 2 on craigslist was completed the phone transaction then and there on the spot. I told the sprint agent that me and my friend wanted to exchange phones and they help us complete the transaction with any early termination fees.
Wow now I realise how fortunate I am that I use gsm. Sim cards for the win.

Only problem is used Epic's aren't selling for crap these days, you will have a large margin to cover when you buy the Nexus at full (no contract) price.
But heck, if you find someone willing to pay well for an Epic see if he wants two of them I'd like to move to the nexus as well.
Edit: it looks like the nexus S will only be $400 off contract...so we might be able to get close to that. Hmmm...decisions decisions.
So it finally hit the uk and 859.99 us dollar for the 16gb and 1125 us for 32gb holy moly. That's w.o contract. With is 599us for 16 jesus

You also have to remember that UK prices don't directly transfer to US pricing even through currency conversion. I suspect that the sgs II will be between $500 and $550 in the US at launch off contract.

I'm due for an upgrade next month. I can't decide between the EVO LTE or SGS3. There is a rumor floating around about a Galaxy Nexus 2 that would have a 1.5Ghz processor, 8MP camera and 32GB of internal storage. I know the LG Nexus device is coming, but I've never been a huge fan of LG, and I really like the Galaxy Nexus. Hardware wise, the supposed Nexus 2 would be on par with the SGS3, at least at a glance.
Edit: Just read a recent article on the Galaxy Nexus 2. Doesn't look all that promising, really. Looks like the SGS3 with a microSD slot.

Probably the upgrade price. You can buy out your contract. Just shoot Sprint an email or give them a call to find out what the buy-out is.
