How do you change ICON picture? - EVO 4G General

How do you change the app icon picture? I am rooted and running cyanogen nightly 110 with launcher pro. Yes I can change the dock icon but not the screen icon, it does not give you anything option to change to custom icon.......This question only few of you might know what I'm talking about.

Check out desktop Visualizer in the market.

thanks man

if you are rooted and not afraid of getting you hands dirty a bit, you can try using ninjamorph to change the icon permanently. It can replace any files you would like within a given application. If you like customization i recommend trying it. Ive changed icons, different color rosie buttons, and also icons in the status bar.

[Q] How do I get rid of icons in the top right of my notification bar?

Do I have to be rooted?
I want to remove the time, battery status, and alarm clock on/off icon.
Thanks.
You can run a home alternative like adw or launcher pro to choose to hide it.

No. I do not want to hide the entire bar, just those specific icons.
I'm interested also in removing those specific icons. The battery indicator is very inaccurate.

There is a "fix" for the inaccuracy. It's just loading up more graphics with incremental changes.
I use the switch pro widget which already contains a very accurate battery meter along with a bunch of other goodies.
The clock is useless to me simply because the lock screen before you get into your home screen contains a huge clock.
cyanogen gives these options. I dont know of another way. I have done one of the "accurate" battery mods and LOVE IT (check jonnybuenos theme out, amazing).

Setting one icon in the center?

My phone really only consists of 3 screens and I only use one icon for everything, which I have on my main home screen. Is there any way to place that icon in the center?
Since our phones only have space for four icons across, its kinda hard to place that in the center. I'm using launcherProPlus

Pretty sure you can change the amount of columns and rows using launcher pro. You can also resize icons using lpp as well

Tried to use launcherpro, but no such luck

launcherpro 5x5
install with long press NOT add button (lets you choose icon)
should work
if not, do a 5x5, use a clear icon and either just "know' its there, or choose wallpaper that has an "icon like" look in the middle - trial and error to line up "invisible" icon to wallpaper
hint - use non scrolling wallpaper option
hope that helps
ps - i'm pretty new to this so there may be a better way - but this way does work

[Q] A Type of Notification Widget

Again, with the knowledge of the Search Engine, I am not able to find any information about this. I have not been able to find anything. I am new to all of this, still in the process of customizing everything.
I would like to hide the status bar because its ugly and all the information I already have on my home screen because of different widgets, I was just wondering if there is any Notification Widgets out there.
Once the status bar is hidden, I can't access the notifications, and if anyone knows of a Widget that allows me to still see the notifications with the status bar hidden. Many thanks.
Idk of any widget like that, and I don't know what launcher you're using, but launcher pro and adw support hiding the bar, and gestures to make it pull down when u need to access it.
I am using adw.... I have it hidden, but I haven't seen anything to make it visible... do you by chance know where that setting is?

Add wallpapers.

Does anyone know of a way to add wallpapers to the list of provided wallpapers that come with the phone? I don't know if you have noticed but when you use these wallpapers the status bar becomes transparent on the home screens but reverts to normal colour if you use any other type of wallpaper. This would allow a transparent status bar with any wallpaper without the issues that come with forcing transparency with frameworks like 3minit (an ugly grey status bar in apps etc.)

I have tried the transparency in 3mint and it leaves the bar looking a really ugly grey in certain applications. What I'm looking for is the status bar to be transparent on the homescreen in TW but normal everywhere else. The provided wallpapers do this.

I've got it to work, I decompiled the stock SecWallpaperChooser.apk and changed the ones I didn't like for some of my own ones. Then recompiled and it works fine.
Keep original file names and image sizes and make 2 images, one is the thumbnail and one the main image.
I made a new apk icon for the wallpapers too, the image is in the same folder within the apk.

Do you want to change the size or what's in your dock? If you want to change what's in your dock, hit menu, then edit and you can change what's in your dock. If you want to change your app icon you can use desktop visualizer. I haven't used it in a while though. If you want to change the size of the icons I can't help you there.
Edit : Sorry, it seems as if desktop visualizer only changes the app icons not the actual app drawer icon itself. Some people use different launchers than touchwiz and that's how they get some of the funky setups they have in their screenshots.
