Help to de_brick X10

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum please bump me to the right thread if posted wrong;
After unsuccessful upgrade to 2.3.3 and roll back to 1.6 I've got stuck with emergency call screen. NO other functions are available on the screen. X10 wont take upgrade via SEUS or Companion. Upgrade via flasher to 2.1 is unsuccessful as well - it just wont boot at all. I've attached the screen shots from the service menu ( Menu < < Menu < Menu Menu <) for your reference.

We could use a bit more info.. How did you upgrade only through SEUS? Or did you try a custom ROM and performed the upgrade/downgrade step by step following the info provided on the forum.
The more info we get on what you have done, the better we can help.

Here is what I have attempted so far:
1. Flash tool and forum instructions:
a) Device will take any 1.6 (branded or unbranded) firmware but wont allow to use any features of interface other then emergency calling
b) 2.1 firmware with different revisions/baselines have been attempted as well but device just wont boot at all.
c) after flashing with 2.3 firmware device goes in to constant boot_loop.
2. SEUS couldn't locate the new software as my phone has latest software available from the server. (still on 1.6 )
3. Same with SE Companion, it comes up with the message that software is not available for my phone yet.
Hope this clarify some of the issues and thanks again for all your help.

Have you tried to flash any other baseband after flashing the 2.3.3 GB update? You need 0.71 baseband to run the update. I'ts 2 different files.I'm guessing before this happened you never made any backup in Xrecovery wich you could restore and start over again?

Yea He is missing the BASEBAND File for sure..

Go there .. Download FlashTool version 0.3.0.0
depending x10a or x10i.. but it's the same file name get the Generic version 2.1update1 build 2.1.A.0.435
then go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=960527
download baseband.. 2.1.54 .. again.. x10a ..x10i same file name just under different section..
first install flashtool.. exact both zips u just downloaded into the firmware folder in flashtool
flash the 2.1 firmware first.. reboot.. if u get hung at the sony Ericsson screen.. remove battery.. go to flashtool and flash the Baseband file u downloaded ( the second file .. )
then from there.. when the phone boots.. root it.. it will reboot install xrecovery.. the first one .. without GB In the file name..

True, EWJET kicks ass. But this should work Make sure u follow every step in the ROM's OP. So that you will install the 0.71 baseband this time. Otherwise you will again run into a bootloop.

[Q] Somebody plz help me installing cynagenmod on my galaxy 3

i stareted with a purpose of installing cynogenmod on my phone so i cud use all th gr8 features & stuff & also keepmaking regular nandroid backups n stuff.
however, i struggled hard only to get a method to flash "InDroid 4.1 CWM" to my phone using ODIN METHOD which has set my default phone version to froyo. good.
now frm within rom manger i gave th install from SD card option & th phone restarts with a little yelloy triangle with an colon sign ...i dont knw wat it is ...probably its doading cyanagenmod from th sdcard..but its been like 1 hour..its not stopping.
moreover i dnt know if this method is gonna work
im goin to sleep & shall chek my mobile tomo if its ready for cyanagenmod,
nyways , kindly if u hav any better n full proof methods for me , plz infrom..
also suggest me which other samsung mobiles(name plz) "clockworkmod recovery" will work for galalxy 3 & give me the link or details
also explain me method using adb from pc ,in cse my mobile stops booting all togethe..

hey ... At first improve your basics of flashing a rom.. There are guides available for it. U shud know how to enter dwnload mode(vol down+home key+power)..so heres what u do:
1.. Download odin and ops file of 5801/5800
2.. Clik one pkg tar.
3.. Select the downloaded cyanogen mod rom tar.(put in one pkg).
4.. Start..
5.. After rebooting, open odin again, now
6.. Flash g3mod kernel1.9 for cyanogen(same method as flashing rom from odin) g3mod has cwm in it (dont use rom mnger as it not support 15800/5801)

First of all you need is to downgrade your ROM, as you have LA1 ROM installed which is not rootable
Just download guide to teach you step by step from here
then watever confusion you have just post here.

Flash that file with pc odin
You have guide how to use pc odin.
Cwm is mobile application use to flash rom, as well use to backup/restore phone,
Rom is just os of mobile
Flash is procedure to install rom or part of rom

just open it and find 'flash stock ROM with odin' in new folder n follow it to the letter

My phone when blank, and i force reboot, and now it have suspicious apps in my phone. But when backlight off and click the unlock button, my screen got blank, but got dot spot.. and i cant do anything, so i have to reboot, now how? my phone

Success the odin thing, but my phone when locked, and try to unlock its look like this, the screen got a dot spot, and it became brighter and brighter..
Im dead.
And i cant use my 3G, im from singapore.

matter fact i have earlier and i downloaded the update zib, however did not know what to do with it. fyi. the phone is not rooted . if you are kind please walk me to it for my ignorance and also i do not want to brick the phone. thank you

In order for me to help u ....i need to know from which part that u don't understand.....as per XDA rules u need to READ before posting ....... STOCK phone is always recomended ......let's start with the easier way:
1. Put update.zip in your Sd Card
2. Reboot phone to recovery by power off your phone. Use combo Button ( VolUp+Home key+Power button) hold them together and when u feel vibration let go power button while still holding VolUP and Home key .....and then u would see samsung galaxy S4 black splash screen and small tiny reboot recovery..... on top left and u can let go both Vol Up and Home key......that's should bring u to android stock recovery.
3. choose apply or install update zip from external sd card......wait...... and reboot system when is done or it might reboot automatic.....Woollaa.....now u have 4.3 android MK2 firmware
But IF doesn't work u need do these following in order for u to do

4. U need Samsung USB driver install to your PC ......Install SAMSUNG KIES and plug your phone.....it will install latest driver for your phone

I'm Glad that i can help and give back to this great community what i've learned.........and worked out for u with the easier way......just in case in the future u need to root, installing custom recovery ( Safestrap ) for now, the other following guide keep it handy on your PC.....don't forget hit THANK and Rate thread where you DL the update.zip.......

Well For Verizon is different firmware ( I545VRUAxxx ) and ATT firmware ( I337UCUAxxx ) If i were u i just keep 4.2.2 ....root it,install custom recovery....and since u still on 4.2.2 is alot easier to install custom 4.3 base rom or even GPE 4.4.2 KitKat,AOKP, AOSP,CM ....but with 4.3 MK2 bootloader are locked so tight your only hope is Safestrap recovery for now but very limited to install custom 4.3 TW rom maybe 2 or 3 would boot up.People are dying to have older firmware so they able to do what ever they want to their phone. The reason they update is because ATT and VRZ want to lock the bootloader so we are not able to flash custom rom beside OTA ...u can always go to SAMSUNG FIRMWARE UPGRADE to check if there is update.zip files or u can always go to Verizon Galaxy S4 FORUM

It was rooted. recently I tried Adding A ROM for the first time .. Using CWM .. I Followed the steps Mentioned On A Perticular Website ... I dont know whether i can share links here or something....But I guess It Wont help.. Unless I post the link.. Or wait Let me Copy the Rom file mentioned Their To Download and yea I Tried to Update my Andriod 4.3 With Kitkat. . .Rom Of S5. [ Or thats What i wanted to do ]

I used Recovery Of Clockward Mod.
Added that Exe File in My Phone. Use Recovery mod [Home+vol up + Lock ] Went their
First noidbackuped and then added Custom Rom. Now Everything was done . I Reeboted . My devide got Bootlooped.. And The Things Went worse when I tried to Finish The bootloop [Stuck at Samsung] by
Perform a full clean-up of the device (This will delete all apps and their settings and game progress). For this:
Select Wipe data/Factory reset, then select Yes on the next screen to confirm factory reset (screenshot).
Select Wipe Cache Partition, then select Yes on the next screen to confirm wiping cache.
it Didnt work .. So I Tried to Restore my Rom .. .Just Went In Back up restore and selected the backed up .rom and Stilll device Softbricked.
Then What i did was Completly ****. I just Was In like Blank Mind . So I FORMATTED MY WHOLE PHONE INCLUDING SYSTEM AND SDCARD0 .. And there , Now I have Nothing but just A CWN RECOVERY MOD ACCES+ ODIN DOESENT RECOGANIZE MY DEVICE IN DOWNLOADING MOD OR ANY .. And when i Try To turn on It just Do Nothing .. And after giving First Samsung GT-I9500 Screen it Just Goes black.. Obv without any System.. So the Problem here is ..
I tried To download my Firmware and Added it in ext Card. And Tried to Install it using Cwm but it was a Odin File..
Please help me How to Restore My Rom .. Or just tell me where to download a suitible custom rom for my Phone .. ? What Number [Model] to check...

isnt There a way ? To Just Install Rom ? I can still acess CWM And If Someone Can tell me A Appropriate Rom File .zip for my Cellphone Ill download it , Add it in Sd card and Then Use CWM To Install that rom ? Its quite Possible ? Please ? Anyone ? help ?

you can't use download mode but you can still enter recovery? that's pretty weird... are you sure you're trying correctly? are the drivers properly installed and stuff? if it still doesn't work, then go to this section of the forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9500-develop there you will find plenty of roms you can flash with CWM recovery

I can enter Downloading Mod but The Problem is That There is No /0/System .. In my Mobile . So Computer Dosent Pics up .. I Deleted my sdcard/0/ .. Completely Using CWM so i can only access CWM ..

Hi mate,
Lets go step by step.....
If you can get into recovery you can get into download...
1. Press and hold Volume Down, Home and Power buttons at the same time.
2. Release the buttons when you get the warning message.
3. Now press Volume Up button to confirm.
after you are in download mode lets flash a stock rom back in you can follow this thread

Take external sd out of your phone and use any posible adapter or device so you can use you pc to place a custom rom in....now place it back in your phone and from cwm instal the custom rom...

Stop panicing. This is basic rom flashing.
Just flash a custom rom from within cwm.

I can see that you are a new member, but why would you even give him this advice? There is nothing wrong with his phone. Stop giving these advices because it only scares people.

Allright my Phone Is Back .. But its only Lock Screen that works when i unlock it hangs and gives S voice Stopped working , xxxx stopped working this stopped working etc... ? Now how should i fix this problem ? please Im really thankfull For all of your advise.. i downloaded the Official Firmware From Sam Firmwares and used Odin and Did Intall everything. please ? Tell me what should i do ? now ..
