It's under 3 weeks since the CM team got a hold of a S2, another week or so would be a conservative guess (At least for a alpha/beta build). I loved CM7 on my Nexus One but would really prefer if TW was an option somehow on the S2 version. I've got used to it and don't fancy using adw/lp. However from memory the CM team don't include proprietary code/apks.

If you want it so badly, make it yourself. Otherwise just be patient and respectful like the rest of us.
It will look just the same as it is on other devices. You can photoshop the image yourself if you really want to know how it looks like.

What?? Advertisement dude my rom isn't a commercial product, i make roms and i share with all to enjoy there is absolutely no necessity for me to share any of my roms. But just then its my hobby and share...

Did you not see the Bootable GB build posted two days ago? About five threads below yours. Basically, it's not a "hope" situation. While the Dev build is not a reliable everyday driver, it does work and for it to be bootable and fairly functional in less then 48 hours from release bodes well for a stable ROM coming very soon.
How exactly will 2.3 work on my rooted phone? Will I need to find a ROM that is Gingerbread based?

Well when you think about it..of course we were getting gingerbread. HTC hasn't pushed any new hardware out in forever...they have new phones coming out but they're not gonna wait until those release before they get into the gingerbread game. If they were to overlook all current devices then people would just be like "bluh bluh their being just like Samsung bluh bluh." That's the last thing HTC wants, you think they dont know that one reason why people go to their devices instead of Samsung's is because of their support and on time updates? They scrap gingerbread for all current devices, then that just leaves hardware and Samsung's hardware is pretty damn impressive, makes choosing HTC over Samsung look kinda stupid.
I'm sure the dev's are aware, but... IT'S HERE!!!

Personally, I wouldn't want to run a SDK version of Honeycomb on my Gtablet. I want to see the real thing, and I am willing to wait for it.
For a real build -- at minimal -- the AOSP needs to be released.
i hope the devs are able to work on this soon. do they even have the time? i'm not gonna get my hopes up about using Honeycomb anytime soon though...

The files Ni is missing are from Nvidia....same ones the GTab is missing. Its the same people working on the roms. They have no advantage or anymore information than anyone else. They just act like they due cause they think they are that important in the tab world

To be honest I was expecting that the team will publish CR7 and will no more develop for SGS II.
Although they confirmed that they were working on it, thousands of people kept refreshing the thread with hundreds times a day for an update.
Anyway, no one can force them to do something, if they are not willing to.
Thanks for the all great roms till now.
I´m also very happy on Neatrom... this guy (salesale) with his dedication and support remembers me on the early phase of Leomar´s Revolution Rom, but this time is long ago and far far away ...
Can you guys please stop posting about checkrom.It's his life ,he decides what he does with his phones I guess.It is not the end of the world, God.it was clear that he stopped deving ages ago .I cannot believe stories about checkrom are still coming up. it was NEVER the fact, that they would stop development for SGS2. If they had anounced this when SGS3 came out, pretty fine... what´s the problem? Everyone decide what and when he want´s to do. There are a lot of fantastic ICS ROM´s for SGS2.

I don't think that's 100% fair, many chefs actually do some pretty good work, and create some great ROMs. While you may consider them douches, at least they're trying to contribute something to the community.
