I have Cyanogen 7.03, and I have enabled a 4 digit pin in "Location & Security settings". The pin works fine, but I don't need the unlock slider anymore. At present time the unlock slider comes on, and then the pin. I am trying to figure out how to disable the slider but leave the pin screen enabled.
The best I have been able to figure out is to enable "trackball unlock" with "disable unlock slider" option in Cyanogen Lockscreen settings. I can double click the trackball to unlock, but since the slider is gone and the slider screen remained (it just shows the current time) the power button can't get past this time screen, forcing me to unlock with the trackball, but lock with the power button.
Interestingly, if I enable pattern lock instead of the the pin lock then the "slide to unlock" screen goes away, which is exactly what I need to happen when PIN lock is enabled. Can this be done?
Can someone help with this please?
Easy, settings<cyanogenmod settings<tablet tweaks<disable lock screen

Actually I'm not absolutely sure this is what you need but let me know
Edit: that doesn't work, it disables the pattern screen as well

It disables the pin screen as well, so that doesn't work.
Well I hope you find a solution. I was having that problem and ended up using an application lock app instead

Thanks. I switched to using a pattern lock in the mean time. It's not a bad alternative. What application did you switch to?
removing slider for only PIN entry
settings-lockscreen-unlock options-disable unlock slider
choose trackball unlock or menu unlock for the option to appear.

Hi guys
I realised everytime we off the screen, and when we turn it back on, no matter how long, the lock screen will be activated. And i cant find a option to set a time before it locks.
Any help on this? Im on stock rooted KF1

If let the screen turn off instead of lock then the lock after time setting in the settings is vaild. However if you lock the screen then thus setting is bypassed and the unlock screen will be shown after you unlock the phone. I use delaylock from the market to bypass this and have the lock screen disbaled for my custom amount of time no matter how the display goes off.

Use no-lock to bypass the lock screen. Its best and free.
Market link - https://market.android.com/details?id=org.jraf.android.nolock
widgetlocker is a good alternative, isnt free but loads of great options.
Guys up till now are there any apps or settings accessible so when i press the power button to off the screen but still doesnt lock it?
Tried widgetlocker alrdy but no such option
I dun mean bypass password screen btw.

With my HTC G2, I have it set to pin unlock with "quick unlock" enabled. It means once I have input the correct PIN, it unlocks automatically, instead of requiring me to push "OK"
Google Wallet does the same thing by default I think.
I cant seem to find this option on my N7 though. Is it because I'm using CM9 on my G2 and its a custom feature?
Yes that option comes with CM.

How do you disable the screen lock? I can switch between the different methods (pattern, pin, password) but I can't figure out how to get back just having the quick lock.
I think this might be an oversight bug.

In Setting/Security/Choose Screen Lock I have the following options:
None
Slide
Face Unlock
Pattern
PIN
Password
EDIT: Misread your problem. Select "Slide" to get the default lock screen back.
Okay I got it now thanks. I was looking for "None" as an option like on my HTC One X. I selected "Slide" and that did it.

Just wondering if people use any type of security or just a slide to unlock.
Usually it's just a slide for me. But now since we can slide right into the camera even with a pattern lock I wouldn't mind using that either.
No lock screen or extra steps to access my home screen! Unless the N4 left my sight which doesn't happen much!
Pattern. My Google account credential is way too important to leave it unlocked.

I'm talking about something like "Delayed lock". For the G2, it works if you lock with a PIN, but I need something that works if you lock with a Pattern...
I use delayed lock on my D802 and since I have root it can disable the pattern

How ???
When I press the option to unlock by pattern/face recognition, it takes me into some "security" screen in the LG G2 settings, and tell me to create my unlock pattern there... but creating the unlock pattern is at the lockscreen settings... (and I did have it in place already...)
So how do you do this ?
I created an pattern in the lock screen settings and then pressed the pattern option in delayed lock. That worked for me
