Has signups for the specific models now on their site and more details.
White only with 32Gb internal memory. For gray color there are both 16Gb and 32Gb models.
Which models do have microSD card slot?
Spec very unclear.....
from this site with sim no micro sd....

"It" might be that samsung remove the slot so they aren't annoucing anything about. If they still have the slot they would have come clear telling us that there will be micro sd slot, no point keeping it a mistery only discredit themself.

I don't know why it doesn't show the 16GB white model there but you can see it on the parent page. (can't post links)
Seems a bit rubbish that if you buy the MultiMedia Dock, you still need to buy the HDMI converter cable?

Agreed. See how the specs sheet at the bottom now also lists Nvidia Tegra 2 where as the original preview Galaxy Tab 10.1 page a few months back just had the generic "1 Gig Dual Core Application Processor."
I would say its safe to assume nothing until you have the box containing the tablet in your hands. This is coming from a company that either redesigned a tablet in less than 2 months or used a already waiting prototype as the base. Point is, either impressive or creepy, Samsung is pretty much capable of anything......
It is confirmed now. 10.1 3G has Tegra 2 1GHz as is clearly mentioned on that page. It can't be more clear.
Also, it doesn't have a microsd slot, the keyboard has.
Things are very clear now
Although I can't see any microsd slot on the keyboard, that is what the other guy saw.
But thank God that at least Tegra 2 is confirmed

Those 'slots' on the side of the device are the speakers. There is the Samsung slot at the bottom, audio, power, and volume at the top, and speaker 'slots' on the left and right.

And I guess the fact that the folks in New York that showed up at Best Buy today hoping for a different version than the 16 GB White model are also clear on which version is avaliable.
Which wasn't clear yesterday (and obviously not mentioned).
I guess they really mean it when they announce something and then say more details to come....
My point was nothing is set in stone and my example of the "Dual Core Processor" on the original specs to the now "Tegra 2" spec is an example of the vauge -> detail pattern I've noticed.....
I know a Micro SD slot isn't standard on Android tablets and a few of them (including our beloved Transformer) have them. I have the 16GB model and I plan to hold on to it for a while but was wondering if I should pay the little extra and get the 32GB model just for future expansion. Since at this time we can't install to the Micro SD slot, just thought it may be a good idea to do it now while I still can.
Any word of that option coming to install/move to SD?
Thanks...
Brian
It's doubtful it will ever come outside of custom ROMs unless Google officially embrace SD cards on Honeycomb/ICS.

Hello,
I am pleased to report that the Sandisk microSDXC 128gb card does work in the p6800, stock JB MD3. The card must be formatted to FAT32. The card is shipped formatted to exFAT.
Enjoy!
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. Ahead of it's time.

I purchased it from Amazon when they were offering the card (pre-release) for $119USD, so less than $1USD per GB. Not too bad. The write performance is OK nothing great. But, the card can store my entire .mp4 music collection with no card swapping!
Given the discounted price, I'm happy.

from former exp with sandisk 64gb card, sometimes the card is not recognized (already formatted it with fat32), so the tablet need to be restarted several times, eventually it will recognized the card, is the issue also appear for the 128gb ?
Thanks.

No, but my Samsung Galaxy 5 player did take awhile to recognize the card. Perhaps it was because the card has over 17,000 files!
great news :good:, I will also try
Samsung EVO 64gb
I want to share my experience with you.
Long time waiting and trying this thing 64gb to work with my Gtab 7.7 without succes until today.
I received this Samsung EVO 64gb UHS-I from Amazon.fr and right from the box it did work with device. Yes happy to see that and more happy to get all my stuff from the 32gb on it readable and writable.
One remark, my Gtab is actually running under Kitkat Rom 4.4.4 of Carbon release 12 Sept. 2014.
Wait and see how long this will last....
Update: I got it to work, but not sure what step did it. I reformat again to exFat with a card format app in Windows. I also reboot the Note several times and it finally showed up. If your unmount it takes multiple reboots again to work. Picky!
Update 2: Wrong! As soon as the device goes to sleep the card is lost again. I will try formatting to FAT32 and see if this helps. Pure stupid 128GB cards work with a year old S4, but not the Note 2014.
Update 3: FAT32 has same lame result. The Note 2014 does NOT work with 128GB sd cards. I have three cards, so a decent sample to test.
Update 4: I tested the S4 card again and does apparently work.... Based on my roller coaster pathology to this point, I will reserve judgement until later. The S4 card works in the Note, but the Note card only works in the S4. All tested in exFAT and FAT32.
Update 5: False positive. The card still fails, so does not matter what format. Three cards work in all other device EXCEPT the Note 2014.
Update 6 08/11: The issue appears 4.3 related. Same issue on Best Buy 4.3 device, but updated to 4.4, no problem. Sadly I need to stay on 4.3 to keep card writes and can not be bothered to go through the rooting process. Would have if Towelroot worked on the 600 model.
Original post:
I have three of these micro SD cards. All work fine in my S4 and Shield, but says "unsupported file system" with the Note. It is in exFat just like the 64GB card that Does work with the Note, so apparently not a format issue and again, does work with the Samsung S4. The irony is the 128GB card works with the Note when using via USB with an adapter for OTG.
Still have 4.2 with the Note, since my comic app and some emulators do not work correctly with Kitkat 4.4. My S4 and Shield are also still on 4.2 due to the same card write issue with 4.4.
This sux.

Perfect Viewer. It only allows reading files and no deleting or changing directories. Ditto for game emulators, so a big deal for me since saves and settings do not work.
Makes no sense why it should not work with 4.2 on the Note 2014. Seems since a stock S4 with 4.2 works, so should the Note. The same card works fine in the S4. I wish I knew this before keeping the Note. I assumed it would work since does work with the S4 with same OS. Even the Shield has no issues.
I would try reformatting with the Note, but since it seems to have issues with 128GB cards, my concern is it could screw the card up. $127 then down the drain. I did not have to format the other cards and again, this one works fine with the S4 and Shield.
Mega bummer.

That is what I have read from other users. Most apps allow you to choose what directories rather than force create one. PV does that and also can autoscan, but only read the files with Kitkat. Google's quest to kill external storage not named Cloud has the smell of a rotten Apple.
Goople.

that sucks, I love the s-pen but 4.3 is just a poor quality experience. I wish I could root but voiding my warranty after a few months of buying this isn't ideal.

Note 2014 appears to be very picky with 128GB cards. Will test more and see later tonight with more tests.
Update: I tried again with the card in the S4. The S4 card works in the Note now and the Note card works in the S4.... Strange. All cards work in the S4, but only one works in the Note. Both exFAT and FAT32 were tested.
Update 2
Failed again. For the price, you would think it should work.
Update 3: I find it ironic that the 128GB cards work fine with the previous gen Note tablets, S4, S5 and Note phones, but not the Note 2014. I do not know about the newer models, but guessing they work with those as well.
I have the 128gb SanDisk, got it from amazon. works perfect in my note 2014, just popped it in and fired her up. no problems from sleep either.
I had issues with a 256gb usb stick that would constantly unmount in the middle of data transfers so I am sending that back. got a 512gb Lenovo usb stick that works perfectly.
Thanks

Do you have Kitkat or 4.3? Three different cards and no luck. Even the Shield works with it, but only FAT32.
Tried previous Note models that Best Buy has and they worked on them.
Just not the Note 2014 and 4.3 at least.

Note 2014 is picky with SD card. Had a Sandisk 64 GB that is formatted to exfat and fat32 and it would not work or get recognized consistently by the Note 2014. Yet the Note 3 and Note 2 works fine with it.

1. Have you tried with 64gb or lower?
2. Have you checked the connector inside the slot?
3. Trying update to KK, lets see if problem still persist.
4. Have you checked inserting to other 10.1 2014?
It did happen to me when I first bought 64gb for my Galaxy Round. First, it was fine, then problem, then fine again.
it turned out one of the connector was bent.
Bought sandisk 128gb micro sd card from Amazon.com.
Slapped it in Note 10.1 2014 ed and had no trouble, ever... You might have got a dud card?
SanDisk 128GB works fine in my P600. Formatted as exfat.
It's all in the format.... thanks for debunking this thread.

Got one from Amazon and it didn't work. Tried the one from B&H and it worked. Both Sandisk 128 GB MicroSD.
FWIW, Amazon-sourced SanDisk 128GB formatted as FAT (I use Linux) works perfectly on my Note running CM11 (and I have no doubts it would work under stock as well).
The cards work in my S4, Shield and Dell V11, so not the cards and tried fat32 and exfat.
That said, I am still using 4.3, since do not want to lose card writes and do not want to root. Battery life and performance are fine.
The cards are all purchases from Amazon (not third party) over three months. One per month.
My guess is something to do with not being on Kitkat.
Update:
Confirmed: It is a 4.3 issue. 128Gb works fine with Kitkat, but no card writes, so no update for me. Best Buy Note 2014 had same issue with 4.3, but worked fine with 4.4. Big catch being no card writes, so no help for me. Prefer having card writes on a 64gb with 4.3, than no card writes. Not bothering with the root process and starting from scratch with my device. At least five hours of time I would rather not go through again. I have all but 3GB filled with apps and many setting for emulators, etc. Will just card swap.
My Sandisk 64gb class 10 doesn't work on kitkat (P601).
Works great on Galaxy S4
kitcrap...
There's threads like this on most device forums. It's pretty clear 64GB cards work with 4.3 and 4.4 and 128GB cards work with 4.4. If someone's particular card isn't working it's not the OS or h/w; it's something they've done (or not done) or a problem with the card itself or how it's formatted. There are a ton of bootleg SanDisk cards out there. When people say "Amazon" if it's from them directly the card is most likely genuine. If it's from an Amazon Marketplace seller good luck. Same thing with eBay and second tier online resellers.

Hi, which one of the Sandisk 128GB Micro SD cards did you buy?
I just bought the Tab A 10.1 2016 edition and it works great so far-apart from one issue, I bought a Sandisk 32GB class 10 micro SDHC card with it. I inserted the card and it was detected, all seemed well, until randomly the tablet shut down-I thought nothing of it at the time as I had left the tablet on my desk for a few hours when it must of shutdown. Anyway I turned it back on and the memory was not detected, removing and re-inserting it after a few times got it detected and working normally again until a while later when the tab shut down again! After some research I found that Sandisk cards have a history of issues with Samsung products so I have decided to get a Samsung sd card in the hope it works (as dumb as this sounds it could work).
So has anyone else experienced such an issue with this tab or any other Samsung product? Is there a fix for it? I hope it is just an incompatibility vs an issue with the card slot.
Update: I sent back the Sandisk card and got a Samsung one and guess what? The Samsung card works flawlessly without issue-what a surprise... :silly:
That's weird, it can be a defective SD card because I really don't think that SanDisk will ever think of producing sd cards that don't play well with Samsung devices!

Possibly, though SanDisk have admitted to problems in the past with Samsung devices, check this article. I'm not saying that I am experiencing this very same issue (it dates back to 2013 so they've probably fixed it by now) but there have been issues in the past. Either way the current Samsung card is performing without issue, nor am I getting the annoying SD card notifcation upon every boot like I did with the SanDisk card.
What vendor did you aquire the Sandisk from? I've gone thru three with my One M9 that were older editions or flat out conterfeit from reputable sellers on Amazon.com, myself. I seem to have found that PNY seems reasonably legit.

I bought it from Amazon UK and the seller was Amazon EU, so it was definitely legit.
