Using TweetCaster - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

I downloaded TweetCaster on my tab it won't let me log in. Anyone having this problem? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I did have the exact same problem. Though eventually it did start working. Can't remember if I did anything special or just waited.
But I do remember the app really slowed my tablet down a lot, even when it wasn't running (but probably had a service doing background updates).
I didn't like the app. I use TweetComb now, doesn't wreck my performance like TweetCaster did.

Thank you Ravinmagi, did try the TweetComb, but it Force close. Did you experience this? Anyone? Thanks again!

You jinxed me! It was working perfectly for a couple weeks. Then just now I opened it up, it force closed.
I opened it again, I was redirected to the Twitter.com website and requested to authorize the Tweetcomb app (don't remember having to do this before).
Now it's working again, but all my settings got wiped. Hmm. Wonder if Twitter did something to require the app to authorize and that was unexpected and caused it to crash? *shrug*

You need to go into your settings and make sure your time zone is set correctly. Then try to lot in again.

Will try doing this also, hope it works. Thanks

@Ravingmagi... Sorry about that, hope it works! I'm still working on it...

Unsuccessful download from Market?

I cannot download any app (paid, free) from market. It stopped working last night. No apps can be downloaded and I am getting the " unsuccessful download, try again" error. I have powered off, checked my Gmail account setting but so far nothing is fixing it. This is AT&T stock 1.6 US version.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
same here .....
Probably a market glitch, try again later.

Are you guys using wifi? I am unable to download apps sometimes when using wifi. If that isn't the case, I have had this problem before with the Samsung Captivated and the only way I fixed it was to do a factory reset. Sucks, I know.

Please check your google talk as it has a lot to do with market downloads. If you find it broken or even deleted (as I did), please reinstall with .apk from samsung galaxy s forum.

I cleared the data/cache for Market and Google talk and now it is working. Reboot is needed when it is cleared.
All my installs are failing
All my updates are failing
This is really annoying!
Wifi...
Deleting the Market cache and rebooting doesn't help, playing around with GTalk neither...
try clearing the davilk cache
This happened to me two times, the first time I rebooted and it worked, second time I turned on airplane mode then turned it off and was back in business.

Theres another thread about this same issue in the general Q&A, check this post out from that thread which suggests you remove your sd card and see if that works.
Nope, unmounting doesn't help.
I love the Streak's hardware but the OS is really cracking me up!! I miss my good ol' PalmOS...

some apps will not install on my Nexus S

Hi I've had my Nexus S for a week now and by and large am very happy with it.
Recently I noticed that some apps from the market will not install after downloading, for example, the Pubtran London app.
the app always shows it's being currently downloaded, and when I check the About tab, it says that 100% has been downloaded, but it will not launch into install.
There are quite few apps which I tried to install but also had this problem. I would be grateful if anyone has experience the same issue and has advice to resolve this problem. thanks!
Not all apps are compatible with Gingerbread.
PS Ignore the fact that I thanked you. I clicked the wrong button
hi thank you.
seems then have to wait to the apps to be updated.
even the xda app does not work on nexus S!
I have just found a work-around for this problem.
everytime an app would not install, I just go into manage apps and clear the Market cache. Once the cache is cleared, app can be installed with no problem.

I'm having this problem too.
I don't think it's compatibility issues, clearing cache and force stopping the Market sometimes works, but it seems the next time I use the Market, one of my apps wont update until I do this again.
Any ideas?

The problem isn't unique to the Nexus S for me. My SGS i9000 (DocRamboned) has similar issue, especially with updates...lots fo them stall on the download, or download and fail on the install.
Perhaps there's some issue on the mothership's side of the market.

The "Music" app from CM7 looks pretty good.

3.2.1 rooted: no more email notifications

I have 3.2.1 rooted (a500 btw) and I just realized that ever since getting it, my email app (stock) no longer notifies me of new emails. The settings are all set up properly and the app itself otherwise works perfectly fine... but it just doesnt show notices on my homescreen when I get new email.
Also, as it would probably come up as a possible solution, my wifi is set to NEVER turn off.
So, is this just me or a glitch?
If its me, then any ideas for fixing it?

Try uninstalling the email app and reinstalling which should reinstall everything in the right place and fix this I am curious how you rooted your Acer because I have searched these forums for weeks and cannot find a working download for the rooting files
gingerbreak doesn't work on 3.2
And timmydeans downloads all fail at 230 MB
Everyone seems to still be posting links that are affiliated with megaupload!!
I'll keep trying to fix your email problem
But without rooting my Acer I doubt I'll be able to reproduce the fault
I have no idea what happened, but after having this issue for several months, the problem suddenly corrected itself a few days ago.
All I did was add the email widget to my homescreen, which prompted me to set up my email account info again (for some reason). After that, voila! Notifications again!
Maybe I just had to clear cache and data, which I probably should've tried before posting here... I forgot to try that first though. Sorry.
As for rooting 3.2.1:

Be sure to thank TimmyDean because it is all thanks to him.

Try wiping the camera data and see if it works then, I had a similar issue once and that sorted it out

^If this doesn't work, go to CWM/ROM-Manager and fix permission. It usually fixes force closes.

thank you...i tried it but it still doesn't work. its a noob question but do you think the reason it force closes is due to low space in my memory card?
