I had flashed one of the rooted stock ROMs via Clockwork Recovery while I was running PRIME! 1.4
After reboot, CWM recovery was gone. Do I now have to just flash it via adb? Thanks!
Sorry for the noobish question.
you sure it's gone?
Couldn't find answer to this either, this worked though...
6c. power TF off, then hold voume down + power button, when you see white writing in the top left of the screen press volume up and you should now be in CWM recovery. Use volume up/down to move through the options and power button to select.
You need to press volume up as soon as the writing appears on the screen. Cheers.
Same thing happened to me......Rom Manager was gone in drawer. Tried rebooting into recovery with buttons and if flashed back to "stock" Might of been me pressing to data clear.
Weird.
Oh something also prior to noticing Rom manager.......something altered my volume keys, trying to to shut off tablet and power key would automatically soft-boot it.
long press would turn it off. No menu to shut down was presented.

You entered download mode. Just hold the power button for a few seconds. Make sure you dont hold any vopume buttons down when you turn it on in the future.
Assuming you where not trying to flash anything, it seems you entered the download mode by accident.
Most devices have button sequences that can be used at startup to enter various parts of the bootloader. You entered the one that is used to flash new kernals and roms to the tab (Power + Vol Down). Nothing has happened or will happen to your tab in this screen unless you are connected to a computer and using software to flash.
The second screen comes when you turn on the device and hold the vol up key. This is known as recovery and can be used to do backups of your device as well as flash new roms (with custom recoveries.) However, you can totally bork (to take a word from Ganj) your tab from this screen, so be weary if you ever enter this mode by accident.
Hope this is helpful!

the same screen A:\
Let me clear things for me to be able to know if I can help you. When I ask about the screen info, what I meant was after you shut down the phone and then pressing volume down + power is supposed to take you in bootloader mode screen. We need to know the exact output of that screen to determine the phone model.
In any other case , do you have information of the original hboot, radio, etc, (bootloader screen) of your phone?
Hi. Today I was running Gekbench 3 on my Nexus 7 and it froze up and shut down. When I turned it back on the boot animation froze, and it rebooted. When I try to get into the bootloader it goes to a black screen. I cant get the Nexus Toolkit to recognize it. Does anyone else have an idea. Im rooted, and am using TWRP recovery mode.
By bootloader, do you mean when you power up while holding down the Vol- button? (I'm shamefully borrowing someone else's image.)

Do you get USB notification sounds when you connect and disconnect your N7 to a PC? If you're familiar with using fastboot, does it recognize that there's a device connected?

OMG !!!!!!!!! Dude, I love you (no homo). Everyone was telling me to use Vol+ and Vol-. I can get into the bootloader and now recovery mode. Thanks so much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're very welcome! Glad it worked. :good:
I did a factory reset on m friend's nexus 7. I can access bootloader before because I flashed a factory image of Lollipop 5.1(4.4.4 before) then relocked it. But my friend decided to sell it and wants to erase everything in it so I factory resetted it in settings. But its already two hours and its still on erassing. I pressed vol up and power while on that screen and it is stuck on formatting data. I tried holding power button to power it off but instead it goes back to "google" logo then erasing screen. I tried powering down again by holding 10sec and after it goes black I immediately released power button and quickly pressed and hold it again together with vol down to access fastboot mode but it goes to google then erasing again. Anyone has a solution? My friend will surely get mad on me and it is already out of warranty. I never happened with my Nexus 5 before

Have to you tried WUGS toolkit does it get reconised as a device?
Tried WUGS but it doesn't detect it
hope someone can help me
I accidently pressed both the volume button down and power button together for a split second and the music volume went down to zero. I tried it again with screen off and it happened again.
Is anyone able recreate this? I feel like this is really helpful to reduce volume quickly.

That combo worked for me differently. After is press the combo, the music didn't mute, but the phone vibrated for a split second and after a minute or so I get a notification from "android system" that a bug report was created with a screenshot of the active screen.
Mine is turning on accessibility shotcut. But i kinda like it[emoji16]
