What were you saying? Cant be rooted? Try again!

It definitely is rootable. I briefly had it running from a straight Kies, but went back to trusty JPN.
Some issues deodexing though -> forget that, my mistake

Okay i rooted it with superoneclick. First try

still no update via KIES in Serbia, just saying

How is the ROM overall? Is it any faster than JPM? Or do you feel no difference?

I think it is pretty much the same. I will do the mods and after that i will compare it

I think it can't beat XWJPI, flashed it, applied JIT and zipaligned it. It's very fast and I like it much more than XXJPM!!

I think that they are the same (JPI & JPQ), but they are for different countries.. They have the same build date.

But still..

Anyone with a review about the new firmware?

It is nice, more smooth, and the camera has an option to enable/disable geotagging... I havent found any other changes.

Hi Kyrillos13,
Are you going to make a new rom with this firmeware ?

JPQ + Fugumod Ultra
I tested it with fugumod 2.4 ULTRA (I do not mean gay 2.2 BE version what makes phone so laggy), root via superoneclick, ROM looks fast and stable at 1366 MHz - It is too early say more, but looks like better than JPM or JPN ...

Hi Guys - is JPQ safe to flash removing the boot files from the tar? Kyrillos can you test, you're clued up about these things!

Would you be able to post some speed benchmarks of this latest firmware to see how it compares to the 020 version to see if I should root and flash.

Hopefully I do it just for testing. But then, Ive decided to stick with the 020 rom as it is more stable and wait for a update/fix for 023.

I'm with proyaz. Given the fact that 025 is on it's way (or at least has been verified of it existence) there's not much point in updating to 023 if you are on 020...for now
Just curious for a benchmark if anyone would be so kind until 025 appears, which may or may not necessarily be better.
R2BA025 Iasn't guranteed!
It could well be a branded version of R2BA020/23.
R2BA023 Is Generic Uk
Could any one please upload the files for the latest R2BA023 firmware ....share the love people !
can someone tell me what is the advantage of rooting when we cant flash for example 2.1 or 2.2 os.
is it just because of some very minor root dependant apps or?
as i dont modify my system files, i dont see any reason to root it before there is the possibility to flash newer os ex 2.2 froyo.
thanks in advance
The advantage is that we can modify system files. Just because you don't do it doesn't mean noone else does.
The ability to tweak the living daylights out of the phone is golden for me.
Oh, it's also a requirement for any work to be done on the bootloader so we'll be able to flash custom images in the future.

If your not bothered about root apps or uninstalling sum apps it is not worth the effort. Im waiting for the bootloader to be hacked.

I haven't rooted my phone yet, but it has been debranded to generic UK. I updated via OTA to R2BA020. But R2BA023 isn't out yet? At least not via OTA.
Has anyone tried via SEUS yet?
EDIT: Just tried SEUS - it thought there was an update so did it - but it just installed R2BA020 again :|
No one has the retail R2BA023 firmware to upload?!

Some root apps, remove branded crap, quadrapop, update moxier, etc..
Nothing major yet, it's mostly for development.
What I did to get R2BA023 is do the root process but STOP after the second step so that means I get the update without root

Nothing wrong with the iPhone. If it weren't for Apple and the iPhone, none of us would be using this phone right now. People seem to get all anti-fanboy about Apple and forget about these little facts
Do I prefer my Android phone? Yes. Do I think the iPhone is crap? Hell no, it was an absolutely phenomenal invention and completely changed the way we use our phones.
Now, can anyone confirm that we can re-root the phone after the upgrade please?
i have to do it all over again but thats ok as long the updates fix the problems

Just to be clear that the whole Atrix community doesn't equal AT&T customers. GB is only released as far as I know on AT&T. I am not aware of it being released on any other networks or countries yet.

Your response was absolutely fine. Sorry, I just took slight exception to the subject line of the thread itself "Gingerbread Officially Released". This is not an AT&T sub-forum or network specific thread. I have seen evidence of other network/country users being confused why they have no update yet.
On a side-note, originally Motorola hinted the UK would get the update at the same time, but that doesn't seem to be true as of yet. However, the non-network branded version of this handset is not released until August 2nd, due to Motorola having exclusive tie-ins with Orange UK and T-mobile UK until then.
Well in trying to bring my atrix back to stock so that I could install the OTA update I messed something up and it wouldn't or couldn't get any data. No up and down arrows showing data. No browsing or anything. Everything else worked. I could't even wipe the phone without an error. I took it to ATT after removing super user and a few other things. They couldn't figure it out so they gave me a new phone.
I upgraded to 2.3.4 and I am loving it. The battery seems to last much, much longer. The camera is much better and over all I am loving it. I do want to root it but looks like I will have to wait until more folks get this authentic version for that.
learning curve
I am new to android, i come from iphone jailbreak land. Sorry, I am late to the party but I can't understand one piece of the puzzle so i can manage this myself. I am on att, 2.2.2, baseband N_01.7715p, 4.1.83, Rooted with ginger blur 4.5.
Why dont i want to update my baseband with the OTA? I have read much about downgrading with RSD and so on, but because i am arriving at halftime, no one really explains why anymore. Just need a little help with the learning curve, Thanks

Shouldn't we be getting KJ ROMs, since we are pass mid October?

To answer my own (and another) question:
The XEU package includes the KH2 CSC file
Yes, the XEU package is non-wipe, as it's a 1 file flash in Odin (that's the quick way to tell if it's wipe or not)
