You can now use your Transformer to work as a terminal emulation program via Blue Tooth with a serial blue tooth dongle and the SENA Terminal APP available Android Market (Free). See below response From CS at SENA. I have not tried this as the Parani-SD1000 BT dongle goes for around $100.00.
Thank you for your interest in Sena product, Zigbee.
SENA BTERM is terminal emulation program for Android OS. From our knowledge, Android OS does not support ZigBee protocol. However, Android OS does support Bluetooth and you can use our Bluetooth Serial adapters Parani-SD1000 (http://www.sena.com/products/industrial_bluetooth/sd1000.php) to communicate with Android device through SENA BTERM.
If you have additional questions or need any assistance, please feel free to contact me any time.
Thanks.

Great, but it'd cost £75 to get one here in the UK, when a similar thing can be made with a PIC and a bluetooth module for under £10...
I just want a USB serial dongle to work

Tremendous thanks to those who enable me to upgrade the ROM to version 1.11, which allows me to select the bluetooth com port.
I am now able to deliver powerpoint presentations (1024 x 768 resolutions) remotely from my i-mate JAM through a bluetooth device iGo Pitch Duo produced by Mobility Electronics.
All I need to do is:
1. Plug the vga cord of the LCD projector into Pitch Duo (with a bluetooth USB adaptor)
2. Power on the Pitch Duo
3. Run iPresent on my pocket PC, at a distance of up to 10 m from the projector.
I had been frustrated because of buying this product then to realise that it does not work on my i-mate JAM of older ROM versions.
Wow, that sounds great. But 329€... hmm.

They claimed it would be available for 279$, meaning 215€... that sounds fair to me. But well, this way they won't get me as customer.
My old fave was Presenter to Go

sadly their SD version seems to be palm only.
Can anyone advise if the mini USB out port could be used to connect the Hermes to an external touchscreen LCD monitor, e.g. as included in a built in car satnav system. I have a built in touchscreen satnav in my car (Subaru Legacy) and would love to hook my PDA up to it and use Tom Tom, WM and all my other PDA functions via this large touchscreen whilst on the move. I alraedy have a parrot MK6000 to handle the sound side of things.

EDIT: Oh damn, I meant mini-USB not sub xD
Hi!
I'm new to this forum, but I'm not new to Windows mobile. I have a Canon 40D and I don't want to spend $300 for a remote controller so I want to make one myself. Now I found how to close a shutter on my canon 40D with a serial port:

}
(Full article: http://www.covingtoninnovations.com/dslr/CanonRelease40D.html)
But now the problem is: I don't have a serial port on my HTC Tytn. Now I have 2 choises:
One: I've found that mini-USB cannot send a RTS signal. I've found then a miniUSB to serial adapter: http://www.usbgear.com/computer_cab...&cats=199&catid=482,1303,199,461,106,1009,601
But can I connect that adapter to my HTC and send a signal to usb so the serial port can send out a RTS signal? Or do you need some specials drivers for that? I can program with C# but i'm not a pro so I can't program any drivers for my HTC
Two: Can I make the mini-USB port, on my HTC, trigger a relay? (I've also found this: http://www.soft82.com/download/mobile/relay-timer-ppc/ but you'll need a relay board for this that costs $120 and like I said i don't want to spend that money.)
Thx for help, but if you don't know how to manage that, it's no problem.
PS: sry for my english
I want to buy Dicota Beat . I just want to know. Does Dicota support the HD2?'

The question should be 'does Dicota support the HD2?' as you will need drivers from Dicota for the HD2 to recognise it I beleive.
seems very unlikely as it looks like a windows gamepad, not for mobile devices as shown by the usb connection at the end of the cable
No.
It's working perfectly on my Toshiba TG01 (WinMo 6.5, but has a "real" USB host that accepts USB pens, keyboard, mouse, etc)
Using the HIDgamep.dll drivers I've found here, at XDA and a new key in the registry, it was working perfectly (I used it for FpseCE mainly)
But I've tried to do exactly the same on my HD2 in vain, the gamepad is not recognized.
The only strange thing that occured, is that as long as my dicota gamepad was plugged, my screen ratated to landscape when I clicked on "start" and was back to normal for the today screen.
I wonder if it was not recognized like kind of a keyboard.....
What is the probability of future work of the Dicota ?
Sorry for my english , I'm using google translate
Is there any progress?
No root required - works on any Android phone.

Despite the current Bluetooth limitations in the Google Android SDK, in early 2009 we've developed a first version of our Bluetooth Keyboard driver for Android. It was an OEM Project targetting a major hardware manufacturer, and it wasn't released to end users. The initial version also required root priviledges, so it needed extra skills to be used on normal Android devices.
Almost a year after, some considerable development progress has been made and we're now announcing the Teksoft BlueInput for Android, a Bluetooth Driver that allows you to connect a Bluetooth Keyboard to your mobile device for increased typing speed, more productivity, and a new feel of comfort gained by using high tech all arround you.
BlueInput is an advanced HID driver that totally transforms your Android into the perfect Mobile office solution by offering easy Bluetooth connectivity to Bluetooth Keyboards. And it is ready and waiting for you to try it right away.
