Send a signal through mini-sub - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

EDIT: Oh damn, I meant mini-USB not sub xD
Hi!
I'm new to this forum, but I'm not new to Windows mobile. I have a Canon 40D and I don't want to spend $300 for a remote controller so I want to make one myself. Now I found how to close a shutter on my canon 40D with a serial port:

}
(Full article: http://www.covingtoninnovations.com/dslr/CanonRelease40D.html)
But now the problem is: I don't have a serial port on my HTC Tytn. Now I have 2 choises:
One: I've found that mini-USB cannot send a RTS signal. I've found then a miniUSB to serial adapter: http://www.usbgear.com/computer_cab...&cats=199&catid=482,1303,199,461,106,1009,601
But can I connect that adapter to my HTC and send a signal to usb so the serial port can send out a RTS signal? Or do you need some specials drivers for that? I can program with C# but i'm not a pro so I can't program any drivers for my HTC
Two: Can I make the mini-USB port, on my HTC, trigger a relay? (I've also found this: http://www.soft82.com/download/mobile/relay-timer-ppc/ but you'll need a relay board for this that costs $120 and like I said i don't want to spend that money.)
Thx for help, but if you don't know how to manage that, it's no problem.
PS: sry for my english

Wireless powerpoint presentation from i-mate JAM through BT

Tremendous thanks to those who enable me to upgrade the ROM to version 1.11, which allows me to select the bluetooth com port.
I am now able to deliver powerpoint presentations (1024 x 768 resolutions) remotely from my i-mate JAM through a bluetooth device iGo Pitch Duo produced by Mobility Electronics.
All I need to do is:
1. Plug the vga cord of the LCD projector into Pitch Duo (with a bluetooth USB adaptor)
2. Power on the Pitch Duo
3. Run iPresent on my pocket PC, at a distance of up to 10 m from the projector.
I had been frustrated because of buying this product then to realise that it does not work on my i-mate JAM of older ROM versions.
Wow, that sounds great. But 329€... hmm.

They claimed it would be available for 279$, meaning 215€... that sounds fair to me. But well, this way they won't get me as customer.
My old fave was Presenter to Go

sadly their SD version seems to be palm only.

Original Poster/Source is also in this forum. I tried to find the original link for the post but I can't. Credits to him, and if someone can find it please give a link. TY. The pics above are from a tutorial of the original poster for replacing the connector of the XDA I, but it should work well with the XDA II since that's how I'm syncing with my PC right now. Remember that pins 1-22 are left to right when your xda is facing UP (see below).
jo_iii Thanx a lot.
May be anyone can help identifying where path for pin #14 goes to? It doesn't exist anymore on my mb

RS232 input project!!!!

I work with serial interfaces all day and when I travel to work, having a way to interface the Imagio over serial would be fabulous!
So here I ask for all suggestions on how to do this and will be well taken.
The first thing that came to mind was that I could make a USB cable to interface with a RS232-USB converter as I would on any other windows computer. But does Windows Mobile have Plug And play??? How could I add such a communication port to the device ? And what about drivers? Has this being done before?
I had a few options and one of them was to use a Serial to Bluetooth adapter, I have tried one I got from KCWirefree some time ago and managed to send serial data both ways at diferent baud rate. Only issue is I have to reprogram the baud rate on the adapter each time which kills the purpose of the adapter it self.
So I found this,

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",

}
Which is closer to what I would like, if there is a way to use those data +/- then we could use a adapter the baudrate would only be changed on the HTC. Still looking...
I believe I have found some more answers...
In order to be able to connect this type of device I would need to have a
USB Host which I believe I have found:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-zeno-usb-host-drivers.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/45220151/__Zeno_USB_Host_Drivers_v6.0a.rar.html
It includes a few of the universal serial drivers and also some mass storage stuff...
I found a small adapter which I will be ordering/testing soon...

Does Dicota Beat support the HD2?'

I want to buy Dicota Beat . I just want to know. Does Dicota support the HD2?'

The question should be 'does Dicota support the HD2?' as you will need drivers from Dicota for the HD2 to recognise it I beleive.
seems very unlikely as it looks like a windows gamepad, not for mobile devices as shown by the usb connection at the end of the cable
No.
It's working perfectly on my Toshiba TG01 (WinMo 6.5, but has a "real" USB host that accepts USB pens, keyboard, mouse, etc)
Using the HIDgamep.dll drivers I've found here, at XDA and a new key in the registry, it was working perfectly (I used it for FpseCE mainly)
But I've tried to do exactly the same on my HD2 in vain, the gamepad is not recognized.
The only strange thing that occured, is that as long as my dicota gamepad was plugged, my screen ratated to landscape when I clicked on "start" and was back to normal for the today screen.
I wonder if it was not recognized like kind of a keyboard.....
What is the probability of future work of the Dicota ?
Sorry for my english , I'm using google translate
Is there any progress?

BT Keyboard Case MOD - OTG - USB HUB

Hello people!
I own a Samsung Galaxy S2 (I9100) and I've been fantasizing with a very particular MOD.
I've seen this Blutooth Sliding Keyboard cases:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But I would like to get it working thorugh OTG, and take advantage of the extra height o add a USB port for USB DRIVES using an integrated USB hub.
This way I wouldnt need to carry around an OTG cable, and wouldnt have the constant drain beause of the BT pairing.
My main roadblock at this time is wether I could get the keyboard working through USB (bypass the bluetooth interface) so it could get recognized by the phone.
Once I can sort this out, the rest of the mod should be quite straightforward.
I dont own the keyboard case yet, so If anyone has some previous modding experience could shed some light on the bluetooth matter, it would be of tremendous help!
Thanks a lot in advance.
I don't have the first idea how to do this but I am very interested!
I like a physical keyboard and I've had to import from the US or stick with very outdated phones....
