Which Model Did You Get?

Myself, like many others, decided that the Asus Eeee Pad Transformer was the tablet of choice. Trying to find one without being ripped off was a whole different endeavor though.
Being as the 16GB version's price has inflated everywhere, and in some places up to $65 above MSRP, I decided to get the 32GB version, which was in stock, and still only $499. I noticed this was the trend in most places selling it, and I saw the $40 difference for double the memory as a no brainer.
So with that in mind, my question to you is, which model did you get? 16GB or 32GB? What swayed your decision? Did you pay above MSRP for it?
Chose: 16 Gb Version
Why?: Cuz It was On BestBuy for 399$ and I had a 32GB Micro SD from My HTC Thunderbolt plus and Extra 16GB micro sd from my old phone. Put the 32 in TF101 and 16 in TBolt. Boom. Got me a 48GB Transformer
Satisfied?: Hell Yes.
16gb from amazon.
32 GB from Amazon.de
not got yet but considering getting the one with the keyboard bundled which only seems to be the 16gb at the moment.
but the way i see it is that if i get a 32gb microsd card and a 32gb sd card for the keyboard bit (cheaper) then its negligable what the internal storage is
32 gb from Amazon.de as well. Trying to find a Swiss-French dock ever since
Will upgrade the Micro-SD as needed...
16gb. Exactly $399 on Newegg.

16GB from Amazon at $399. I figured that with the microSD slot, I didn't need 32GB. If I felt stronger about that much storage, I probably would've gone with a GTab, tbh.
I'm on my third unit now. Aside from the speaker issue and some moderate light leaks, I'm satisfied with the rest of the device. Overall, though, I wish I'd waited until Asus had the bugs out of production.
389 from tigerdirect. I found for most folks, disk space was being consumed by media/movies. Since I never planned to watch movies and only listen to music from Google music, 16gb was more than enough. After a month, I still have 11 GB free on the TF with another 8GB microsd and 4gb SDHC card
Bought the 32 GB here in Taiwan. Got a free 32 GB SD card and an Asus sleeve because of the messy pre-order.

I wouldn't say that to Erica Ogg of cnet, (an ipad fangirl with her head up her ass) according to her none of the Android tablets have caught on and sales have been 'uninspiring'

One 16GB, one 32GB, both bought at MSRP.
16GB with dock
Currys UK (bought in store)
RRP - £430.00 with free express delivery and 20% off a £35.00 case.
16 gig with a dock. Figured if I wanted more later I'd get a microsd card.
Bought the 32gig TF.
Using 32gig MicroSD.
Bought the Dock + using a 32gig SD.
96gigs. A fair bit of it is movies and porn.
16GB with dock at comet.co.uk
I got lexar 32gb class 10 for SGS 2, put it in TF now.
I bought a 16GB today. I bought in store so it was $26 sales tax. I'm not good at waiting. Newegg has them for the same price but I would have gotten it Monday.
32GB from canada computers. was on the waiting list for more than a month for the 16GB version and gave up waiting.
16gb from amazon. If amazon has none in stock it shows another seller that ups the price, buy from amazon and it's still only 399. I stream my music and movies, but the assurance of another 16gb would be nice but meh.

32Gb from Newegg with a 32Gb microSD as well as a Keyboard/Dock also from Newegg.

NEWEGG: NEW TF1 32gb + dock $499

newegg is having a "gift offer" buy the 32 GB TF1 and you get the dock free. check it out:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230019
ugh now i don't know if i should wait for the tf2 or just get this. i mean i get the dock and everything with this...for $499 and its 32 GB vs waiting for the prime which is going to be 16 GB and $499 w/o dock.
I couldn't wait.
They had a sale a few weeks back for the 16gb with the dock for 399 and I missed it, was impatient, bought the 32 gb from BB and the dock from NE with a netbook sleeve and an adata 32gb micro sd.
That being said, I'm not kicking myself for not waiting. I love this thing.
I use and adonit stylus at work, its quite the head turner taking notes on this instead of what most have, ipads (bleh)
If you don't have it, get it.
I already have someone slated to buy mine once I get the TF2, but it won't be for a bit after launch and most of the others on here have their rooting and fun.
Another reason to love XDA, you can get a great temperature of a product and know when the right time is to buy

Anyone here still waiting for the 32 or 64 GB version?

I don't think that I can wait any longer since there is not a single news on the anticipated 32 GB 3G version. Even vendors from the U.K. don't have them in stock.
So does anyone know anything about when the 32 or 64 GB (3G version) will come out? I googled but did not find anything.
Might as well enjoy the awesome tab 16 now and 64 gb microsd. even the samsung galaxy note 32 has not come out and it s been out since november.

This is exactly what I'm doing with mine
Cloudsource stuff like your music and pictures by using Google services (Picasa, Google+, and Google Music), and put the heavyweight content like movies and TV on your 64GB SD card, and it works brilliantly!
I'm waiting until they release the update to ICS before I even consider buying this tablet. I finally gave up waiting for the Gingerbread update for my T-mobile GT7 and loaded the German 2.3.6 ROM to my Tab last week. I don't care who held up the update, I won't trust them to release the update for the new Tabs until the day they actually come out. Hopefully, if they do release it soon, it will be after the 32 and 64GB version come out.
One of the big advantages of the GT 7.7 (and the reason I pulled the trigger) is the MicroSD card slot, which the 8.9 and 10.1 don't have. So get a 16GB model and order up at 32GB card for $50 or less (just buy a name brand). The extra memory you get on SD will be a lot less than what you would pay Sammy for, for the same bump in memory.

personally i'm waiting for the 64GB version
i really want this tablet, but i'm not spending money on the 16GB it's simply too little for me
I want 32GB at least but the samsung stores say they will only carry 16GB version but Im also waiting a bit..
a 32gb class 10 card will be cheaper and faster (and give you 48GB space) than the 32GB internal storage.
I already bought a 64gb micro SD card and wanted it for the 32 or 64gb tab. The more storage the better IMO.
I. Beginning to think that the bigger storage tabs won't see release soon enough to warrant a purchase tho.

I could not wait any longer so I took the plunge and ordered it today from Negri Electronics....even without the coupon code. Man...I kicked myself for missing the coupon code by one day. I don't think there will a new code for awhile.
I also went ahead and ordered the 64 GB micro SD card from Amazon for $145.
In the mean time, I will just play with my Galaxy Note until I receive its big brother.

I already have a 32GB card, still waiting for 64Gb prices to go down
With the squeeze at the cheap end from the Fire an Nook it will be even harder for non Apple tab makers to offer higher storage options because that will make them even more expensive and more vulnerable to the low end units. For too many the decision comes down to: Do I pay $200 for a decent tab, $550 for a great tab with 16GB or $700 for a great tab with 64GB -- odds are the over whelming number of people opt for either the $200 decent tab or the $550 great tab with 16GB.
This sucks because I to would prefer the 64GB version but suspect it will never be made...

Why wait...?
The trouble is if you wait 6 months for the 64gb to become available... there will be another one announced, forcing for you to wait... then that'll become available in the smaller sizes, but you wait for the bigger sizes, but before they become available someone else announces the next best thing. and so on.
You gotta pick your model and get your hands on it as early as possible in the cycle.

I'm really waiting for the ICS update to be released before I consider buying one because I don't trust Samsung to release it in a timely manner. Until then, I can make do with my original Galaxy Tab. If the higher capacity memory models come out in the meantime, then that's just a bonus.
I wouldn't wait to be honest, Samsung's track record in relation to bringing the higher internal spec'd versions to market is rather poor. The Note hasn't yet arrived, the 16GB Galaxy S took forever, I'm not sure if the 32GB S2 ever materialised, they've just cancelled the 32GB GSM Nexus etc etc...
64GB model was announced at some large Russian retail stores
they'll start selling it very soon for the price of 16GB 3G plus $167...

I don't trust Samsung either, I want to buy the 7.7 but only when it comes with ICS. I have seen what happend with the original Tab and now Samsung is releasing the 7.0 Plus with ICS (Tab 2), which I'm quit sure will mean that the 'old' 7.0 Plus (just 2 months on the market) will not have ICS and maybe the same for 7.7. This will not happen to me.
Since they will be announcing new tablets on the MWC, for sure ICS will come at a later date of already released devices, there is also a possibility that this wont get ICS in a timely manner.
Try this

The Expansys 32Gb has been there for months now. Only pre-orders (= nothing within at least the next couple of weeks).

[Q] Is the extra 8Gb worth £40?

Hi guys,
Gonna buy me a Nexus 7, but I can't seem to justify the extra £40 for the 16Gb model, now USB OTG is working fine.
Am I missing something?
Cheers,
BS...
Yes it is, at least for me.

It is the same space, only capacity difference. If you dont mind OTG then sure get the 8gb version. Personally I need about 10gb so I got the 16gb so I dont have to mess around with OTG, but then again I got my 16gb for £165 . Keep an eye out on Hot uk deals, its been reduced to £180 using promotion codes at tesco and currys quite a few times.
Definitely, it sucks only having 5 GB of space available to the user. After two or three HD games and a nandroid backup your space is filled. I'd actually recommend waiting and get the 32 GB.

64 GB UHS-1 SDXC Card Compatibility

For anyone curious about using a Team 64 GB UHS-1 class MicroSDXC card with the good ol' Droid Incredible, I can verify that the Droid Incredible can read and write to it just fine. I picked one up from Newegg recently for $54.99.
I originally intended to use it with my Galaxy Tab Plus tablet, but after killing it in that device and reviving it, I'm keeping it on my Droid Incredible (for now), where it works fine.

Has the 64GB card held up? I would love to have more space on my incredible, but I thought that it wouldn't be able to read the sdxc cards. Your post gives me hope! Have you experimented at all with other filesystems like ext4, or did you just go right to fat32?
Sorry, didn't see your response until now. Yep, the 64 GB SDXC card is still running nicely. I formatted it directly to FAT32 and have filled it up entirely with MP4s from my music collection. I've been running Tiny's CM 10.1 builds on it as of late.
It's kind of amazing that an old phone like the Droid Incredible is able to utilize the latest SDXC 64GB cards without issue.
