I've recently ordered a 16GB acer iconia A500, it will arrive in a few days. So what are my chances that I'll end up with a 32GB version of the tablet?
Mine came from Target, and indeed it had 32gb in it. Although all the places that mention capacity say 16gb. It was also sold for the 16gb MSRP.

I wish mine too...!
I plan on buying my Transformer very soon ( probably today).Should I get the 16 or the 32?
Thanks ahead of time!
16GB yo, save the $100 and buy a $20 16GB microSD if you need storage for media. 16GB is plenty for app installs, I got tons installed and still a ton available

If you have a google music account you shouldn't need too much storage. If you don't have an account you should try to get one (or there are other streaming audio apps).
16GB TF + 16GB Micro SD is going to be cheaper. However, I have seen few offers for the 32GB with the keyboard dock where the bundled price is slightly cheaper than buying a 16GB TF + 16GB high speed Micro SD + KB dock separately. Unless you want the bundled KB dock, there is no point in paying extra for the 32GB.

Just browsing Newegg for a microsd card for my tablet I am getting soon and came upon this. Seems like a good deal if you are looking for a card. Newegg sells out of sale items fast so if you're on the fence, buy soon. Its a class 6 in case you are wondering. Free shipping and no tax for most.
Sold out

Damn it!
now its 22.99
After picking up my new Galaxy S III (Garnet Red sexiness) a couple days ago I was in the market for a microSD card. Now, it's obvious that I could have saved a few dollars by buying online but I needed one ASAP and didn't want to have to wait for it to arrive. Usually that means the cost of purchasing at a local brick & mortar store would be significantly higher, so I scanned the Sunday sales ads to see what I was up against. The best deal I could find in the sale ads was a PNY 32GB class10 microSDHC @ Staples for $44.99 or a 16GB for $19.99. That was more than I wanted to pay so I stopped in at my local Best Buy because they sometimes have some great sale prices that are not even advertised. I found the same 32GB PNY card with the adapter for $34.99 on sale, which they had not advertised in the sale ad. If anyone is in the market and would rather pick one up locally like myself, the info is below.
PNY 32GB class10 microSDHC $34.99 + tax (cheapest I found online was $26.85 + $4.99 S/H = $31.84 @ Amazon)
Model # PSDU32G10TEFM1
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/PNY+Tec...Card/3026197.p?id=1218372338726&skuId=3026197
PS. Another reason I chose to buy locally is to have peace of mind in knowing the card is 100% genuine and not potentially fake.
meh, ive seen cheaper 32gb class10 sd's from reputable dealers
I've tried the pny brand and man was it horrible. I tried a 2gig on my old samsung gravity and when I had to format it it only showed 256mbs. And an 8gig I tried on my g1 kept corrupting itself.

Which version are you guys going for? Was planning on getting the 32GB at Best Buy, but then I saw the $30 off coupon for Staples, but it looks like they only carry the 16GB version. I am half tempted to wait for the 32GB LTE version, since I have an unlimited AT&T iPad data plan...

I just ordered the 32gb from Amazon with Saturday shipping for $300 after tax and expedited shipping.
$30 off Staples would be awesome but I think they are being jerks and holding the NN7's til Monday, probably when the coupon expires.

Doesn't matter, my staples doesn't seem to have any stock of the 32gb version, only the 16......
For the old one I went with 16 and a USB Drive but I just bought a 32GB from Best Buy, upgrade difference in price is small and if any of the disk-full related issues return that would mitigate it.
The 16gb out of the box has about 12gb of storage.
That's more than enough for me. I don't have music (I'll stream over WiFi if need be), pictures will be minimal, I hardly play any games, I will load some movies on to it for my son, but those are short term items that will use storage.
I plan on getting an OTG cable in case I want to look at pictures from my SLR or if I need to swap movies around.
Unless you play a lot of games (like GTA where the file size is over 1gb) or store a lot of music, I can see a need for 32 GB.
My N4 is an 8gb model and I use less than 2gb of what's available (4gb still free).

32gb because the file size is very large for a lot of tablet games. I also want to be able to pin a lot of magazines and music to my device without needing to uninstall apps. I had the 16gb for the original and I'm glad I got the bigger one this time
I ordered the 32GB. I don't actually use 32GB of storage on the tablet, but I do recall that with the previous Nexus 7, there were dual-bootable distributions of Linux. With 2GB of RAM, the faster processor, HDMI out, and the higher resolution screen, the new Nexus 7 looks like it could really run a distro of Linux well alongside Android. That being said, it is far more comfortable to have 32GB of internal storage for the two OSes.
Damn I forgot about magazines. Oh well those are around a gig each and I'll just delete them after I read them.

So does that staples coupon apply to 32gb if they have it?

I paid $239 out the door for a 32gb model at Staples. If you place the purchase at an in-store kiosk, there is no tax.

Ended up getting the 32gb at best buy for 269 plus tax. Even if I don't use the 26gb a available, it's nice to know I have it just in case.

32gb all the way...but watch in like 3 months a 64gb model will come out :silly:
With no SD card slot expansion definitely the 32GB. In for a 32GB through Staples $30 off coupon deal.

I remember being mad when the original 32GB n7 came or for the same price I had just paid for my 16GB. I'm just glad the bigger one is available at launch this time.

yeah same as me...I got the 16gb original one and was pissed when like a month or 2 after the 32gb model came out. Was it really so hard to make a 32gb model for the launch last year but yeah we'll see a 64gb model come soon hahaha but 32 is fine for me. I mostly use it for movies and stuff while I travel and to read flipboard in the morning
So I decided to cop the 16gb at best buy. 32gb sold out. I also realized I dont store much on my tablets but I do watch lots of movies, surf the web, read and so on but Ive never filled my old asus transformer 16gb tablet. I know many will go with the 32gb and it is always about the individuals preference. Yay to being part of the nexus family finally
