[Q] Anybody find a Photo Browser 3D download? - Acer Iconia A500

Okay, so I had an Acer Iconia Tab A500 for a few days, but eventually decided on switching to the Galaxy Tab 10.1, mostly because I need that extra battery life. But one thing I really miss right now is the Photo Browser 3D app. I really, really, really miss it.
Is it available for download as an apk somewhere? I already tried looking on Google but to no avail. I would really appreciate if somebody uploaded it, but if it turns out I can't get it, then I understand; in which case, could somebody recommend me anything close to Photo Browser 3D?

try to search in development section,
u can download any full acer rom, and get the apk from there, but i dont know whether it will work on SGT

Problem with Photo Browser 3D
I downloaded the app from your dropbox link, but it dosent work. I installed the app, it opens, i can see all my picture folders but i cannot open them.
I have a Iconia A500 with this rom:
[ROM][HC3.2][A500/A501]IcedComb 1.0 (Build 22112011) + Hotfix for USB Storage
I hope someone will help all of those how love this app including me.
Thanks a lot.

Here it is with acer need for speed.
If you want olny 3d photo browser, just delete nfs.apk in the zip. (System/app/nfs.apk).
Problem is you need apk and libs for 3d photo browser to work.
All is included.

Photo gallery question here.

Hey guys I just picked up my Xoom about an hour ago. I'm a photographer and been wanting a nice tab for some time now to add my work, and use it as a nice portfolio. My issue is this.... I,ve dropped in a few photos into my xoom, all high res but when I go to view the images in the gallery they all look a bit pixelated. I would need to stretch the image out a bit to make them look right.
In the end if I had to do this for each image I wish to show it would just become a real pain in the ass. Anything in settings to fix this, or maybe an app that would help with this problem?
If anyone has any ideas please let me know? If there is no fix, than sadly I would need to return my new Xoom that I love very much.
Thanks.

Yup a buddy of mine just told me about that app. Works freaking great! Looks like I'll be keeping my XOOM after all.
Thanks.
I am a photographer too..hobbylist at least (http://www.photographybykevin.net)
Anyhow, I host my pictures on mainly Zenfolio and sometime upload misc stuff to Flickr.
I find both of these apps are AWESOME on the XOOM
zFolio and FlickFolio...
Both of them will sync / download your entire gallery to your Xoom when you are on a WIFI connection, not 3G to save you bandwidth. It works pretty smooth and does a good job.
Otherwise the other option is manually copy the picture to the Xoom and use the Gallery 3D native to the Xoom.
The maker of zFolio and FlickFolio also make one for SmugSmug too I believe. The app is only $2.99, a good price for the app.
thanks for the suggestion

The best things about Android 3.1

I figured this needs a new thread since the others have been derailed by people trying to update!
1) Speed, finally a speedup! The lockscreen is faster, switching apps is faster, the browser is faster (scrolling/zooming/flash video/scrolling with flash video open) , the launcher is faster... I could go on and on about how fast it is now.
2) Smooth 720p flash video playback
3) Mouse support, tried it out and it works great!
4) Joystick support is cool but no apps seem to support it yet, it doesn't show up as a general input device as I had hoped, you have to specifically program for the joystick api I believe.
5) Resizable widgets! Even this operation is silky smooth
6) Scrollable app switching
does it address the wifi driver leak? better yet, documentation or release notes on this update?
Nice post. Thanks for the information. I speak for nearly everyone who at this time hasn't received the update when I say I can't wait to get my hands on 3.1 on my rooted Xoom!
I, for one, am most excited about the following: resizable widgets, mouse support (btw - what kind of mouse are you using? bluetooth or usb/wired?), and most importantly the overall speed-up and bug fixes (such as smoother 720p video playback) across the entire Android Honeycomb OS.
Kudos to Google for knocking it out of the park with this one. Maybe nothing absolutely groundbreaking or super innovative, but all we really wanted anyway was a quality level of polish added to the amazing base OS we already had. That's what we're getting with 3.1. Yay.

There's documentation/changelog posted on the Android developer blog. Look it up. It lists every change in paragraph, essay form (instead of the usuall bullet point list associated with most changelogs).

how do you resize the Widgets? I've been trying this for an hour.
The quick launch controls for the browser have been updated as well. Very cool. You can scroll pages using the controls without having to scroll up the page.

It only works on list widgets, like the email and bookmark widgets. Hold down on the widget like you're going to move it and then set it back down.
For those who had tested 3.1 in their Xoom's, there is a improvement in 720p & 1080p video files?
I have the Asus Transformer and wondering about that stuff, since the Xoom owners are the first receiving 3.1
Any video hardware acceleration?

I've always only had the gallery app to play movies. The movie rental program is called 'videos'
Edit: Speaking of which, the Videos app has a 'Personal Videos' tab, which shows all of your videos in a nicer display than the gallery app... nice!
sorry, meant the stock movie studio app. To edit videos. Wonder if this was changed for Google movies?
I noticed the broken shortcut for movie studio on the desktop but then opened the apps drawer and the icon there opened it right up. Take a look see if it works for you.

Which ROM should I use for best stylus tracking - Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7510 ?

Hi,
I recently purchased a Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7510 and have literally tried out all the ROMs out there to try and find the best to help increase the tracking speed of the device. I have searched a lot for the answer but cannot seem to find a definitive one. All of them seem to have considerable lags with stylus input for taking notes.
I do not really care about palm detection, so finding a ROM which speeds up the tracking would be great help. I am not sure if tracking is related to the app that I use as well but I have also tried most of the notepad apps and have found that Antipaper Notes (Zoom function) is the best along with FreeNote (Tracks better, but cannot work on it like an actual notepad)
I just need a bit of help finding the best ROM to take notes on as that is my main use case for the Galaxy Tab.
Thanks!
Someone please help me

Thanks for your reply.
I have been on "In Paris V2" for quite some time now. It has a much better response time than the stock ROM but is still very difficult to use. I was wondering if anyone had better experience with any other ROM, or if it is the notes app which is the main cause for the slow tracking?

I have used every ROM on this forum for 7510 and I have to say, I like task's work the best (with the exception of his V7, but V7.1 fixes the issues i had with v7)
What problems are you having with In Paris V2?

The only issue that I have is tracking with a stylus. Everything else is peachy! I want to be able to write notes on it with a stylus. And when trying to do so it seems that everytime I write an I or L in any case it completely fails to recognise it! :S and if i'm trying to write something quickly ten that's a whole new ball game!

Well, truth be told, you're going to have that problem no matter what ROM you use. Are you doing handwriting to text? Or saving the handwriting as is?

If you're saving handwriting as is, how is it "not recognizing" letters? It's not reading your pen strokes?
yeah it isnt recognising the strokes.
Just a thought, I have no idea if it would make a difference - google "stylus-r-us" and take a look at the website. They're expensive, but there IS a money-back guarantee. Might be worth a phone call to talk to them. Good luck.
I read somewhere in these forums that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 only has something like 600 <pressure> points whereas the ipad2 and Asus Eee Pad have 1200. No matter what stylus you use, handwriting is never going to be the strong point on this tablet unless Samsung addresses this issue. I've tried every Rom, writing app and stylus - some work better than others - but handwriting is still pretty much uselss because there simply isn't enough points available. It's a disappointment with the Galaxy Tab for sure, but I've been using the Logitech bluetooth keyboard (and case) and that's been working out well. But still miss the legible handwriting......

You running ICS on your phone?
Used it on OG Transformer with paulburton's ICS ROM. The browser is pretty smooth, and looks just like the pc chrome browser.
I don't have enough posts to link to the file, but it should be pretty easy to find the apk by now.
i tried it on Sensation
its pretty sweet
we need ICS for TF101 now!
Does Chrome for Android have all the same security and privacy issues that Chrome for desktop has?
If it does, i'm sticking with Opera.
Google and Adobe won't support flash for Chrome on Android
Which is either good or bad depending on you.
I use Flash for live video so I don't like this decision. It's a good option to have, you can always opt to not install it

I love Chrome browser . I've being waiting for this since... well since Android 1st came out

Works great on my Rezound with 4.0.1! This browser is sweet! I would totally dump the stock browser for this anyday, but I kinda wished they kept the darker gray theme rather than going back to light gray..
The tabs sharing with the desktop Chrome is F-ing Awesome! Like what Chrome2Phone should have been all along!
No Flash in Chrome for now. Adobe say they won't support it but hopefully Google will adapt it later.
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/02/08/flash_chrome/
Where be the tab stack? Do we lose that, another Tablet sacrifice?
Fairly stable for me. The only crash I had was with something like 7-8 tabs open (all XDA Prime forums, plus a few chrome blogs, LOL! I like it. A LOT! And typically I am hard to please, especially where browsers are concerned. There are way to many Android browsers out there that are acceptable, but not outstanding. Each has their own little tweaks and claim to fame, but under the hood they are ridiculousy similar. Let's see, I have had on my Prime, at one point or another:
Stock. - Works well. So well it bores me, LOL
ICS+ - A nice set of enhancements. I use it more than the stock webkit browser
Dolphin and Dolphin HD - I like, don't love it. A bit TOO slick, and some things frustrate me. It will be better when the HD catches up to the small screen version, I think
Opera Mini and Opera Mobile - What can I say. 2 solid browsers here. Mobile is a keeper. [
boat browser - Not imopressed, other than speed, it was buggy. removed.
Skyfire - I LOVED this one on my phone in early releases it was amazing. When Skyfire decided t charge me to see flash, I decided to cut them lose. Too many alternatives. It's not THAT great.
Firefox - a HUGE let down, but everyone expected magic here. Didn't materialize.
Maxthon. Very cool new browser.Jury still out on this one.
That's right off the top of my head.
Anyone know how to make the tab "Stack" appear in chrome, or is that only in the phone version, because we have the real estate to see the tabs. If so I am disappointed. That was chromes one big trick pony, and I was excited to try it. So far I can't see the button in top left to enable them, just a new tab button. Anyone?

Hey - great Video.
I noticed something on 4.1.1 (and did not see it in your video). It took me for a spin-loop the first time: When downloading something fom the web (deafult browser) it does not save the file anymore to the internal (/mnt/sdcard/Downloads) - but instead to the external SD-card (I assume when one is present. I have not tried it without my externalSD yet.
Thanks again for the features.....
LOVENOTE10.1
One disappointing thing I have noticed in s note.
If you wish to have a custom background based upon an image it does not save that image as a template background for future sessions. You must go through the entire process each time. I prefer to write with a white pen on black lined paper. It would be nice if the background gallery would retain this option for me between sessions.
Also I do not see any way for us to custom design our own templates. Am I missing something? I can think of a number of layouts I would like which they do not offer by default.

Yeah, if its possibe, ideally enough so we can read the menu options, pause the video so we can see if anythings new or changed, generally a better view of everything, if its possible, i assume you do it this way because its easier, less fiddly not worrying about being out of camera, im assuming

If you save a blank note with the background you want, when you want to start a new note, open the orginal and "save as" before you start using it. The orginal "sort of" becomes a template. Kind of crude but faster than changing the background each time. I think the S-Note we have is going to be the S-Note we'll be living with for quite a while.

Now that there's a Windows version of S-Note they'd be smart if they published a SDK like they have for the S-Pen in general. The fact that syncing S-Note's to a Samsung account has been added might mean something's planned for the future.

I agree guys, they should at least have a section in the settings or somewhere in the app to request features or leave feedback. Especially since its not in any of the app stores.
Also I just signed into Samsung Apps and they're giving $20 coupons for learning hub to all users, not that I've seen anything in learning hub that interests me :/
