OK! I have got 2 pcs win 7 and win XP! I have an ANDROID PHONE!
I have an XPERIA X10i.
This thread is important because many haven't noticed this problem or even bothered,I am about to share! many people with xperia x10i and other android phones face this problem!
THIS PROBLEM IS ABOUT LOOSE CONNECTION between Android phones and windows 7 pc!
WHY the **** I AM HAVING USB LOOSE CONNECTION?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
My phone has android 2.1 rom which i sony's original one!
I have rooted the phone now!
(I had changed roms many time android 2.2,2.3.....)
It seems that there is a bit incompatibility between android OS and windows 7!
The problem is that the usb drivers of android 2.1 and 2.2 is incompatible with windows 7!
When ever i connect my x10i with my pc by usb the connection goes loosen!
repeatedly notification shows Mount and unmount! Which is very annoying! VER.......VERY......ANNOYING!
I tried many stuff..I searched google.....windows forums..coustomer supports....! But I assure u people this is windows 7's problem!
sometimes my usb get connected but chance is 2% out of100%!
I herd there is a problem with SEMC_HSUSB(Sony Ericsson sa0101)
but android 2.1 worked fine for me on windows 7!
whereas my windows xp works fine with my x10!
I checked if my windows 7 has any problem in usb ports or software setting, but turned out to be just fine!
I searched google,in google some said x10i,galxy S,moto Droid also had loose connection in usb connection!
even my usb plug is fine!
there are few win7 which makes android run smoothly and some don't!
Well I am the one with not working one!
Can anyone help me out here!
is this a Kernel problem?
my windows xp and wndows 7 are genuine(original version) and also they r fully updated!
I need help!
have you ever thought it maybe a problem with something else??
i have connected my x10 with 1.6, 2.1 and about 4 different custom ROMS (again 2.1 or 2.2)...all connect perfect with all my pc's and laptops running win 7 ultimate (64bit) and win xp
try a different usb port / computer / cable
Also check your usb on the phone...it maybe loose
Have you tried it on a win xp machine??
I tried different ports but its problem with the software of kernel or any reason that i don't kno!
there could be a number of reasons...technology is wonderful when working....but a pain when its not!!
sounds like something might be conflicting but not showing as a conflict
If you plug other things in the same computer ports and they work ok then all i can suggest (and its drastic) is to reinstall windows and start fresh. That will get rid of any old corrupt files and software and you will probably find it will work.
I have never found anyone stating a problem with SE and windows
Have you ever though that you might have a faulty phone? Just call your carrier or se to see what they can do for you its an hardware issue. Lets hope all this will get sorted out for.you

Go to Windows energy conservation settings and turn off power saving for every USB port that You have in Your PC. (set it to always on or something like that)
Problem solved Good luck !
I checked the phone! but turned out to be fine!
I tested on my friend's win7 which made it work smoothly!
THERE IS NO HARDWARE ISSUE! THIS IS SURE TO BE A SOFTWARE STUFF!

I think ur right on the software part, your software, your windows.... its not the phone being incompatible with windows 7 cause i have zero issues here. Like u said, u tested on ur friends win7 and worked smoothly...

Worked on friends win 7 which it worked
which boils down to the problem being on your pc
You can spend hours and hours trying to find the conflict or the problem why its not working or as said previously, format the pc, reinstall a fresh version of windows and should be ok (providing the USB ports on your pc work ok)
LOL! I have a 7TB HDD LOL!
LOL IF U TELL ME TO REINSTALL MY PC THAT WOULD BE EPIC ****!
can anyone give me a driver! lol any help out there?
LOL!
I have the same issue with my work computer but not my home computer. Not sure what the reason is but it's definitely annoying. Work computer has Vista, my home computer runs 7. I have two X10's and my work computer has never liked either one. For some reason it only happens when I am running the SE's 2.1.
Definitely sucks. I would attribute it to 2.1 and some computers. Luckily once connected to flash tool all is good and it doesn't disconnect while flashing.
its not as simple as giving you a driver...you need to find why its not working. When you plub in the usb it should install the driver.
If you dont wanna format then all i can suggest is uninstall the sony driver and hope when you install it next time it works
failing that i think you have 2 possibilities....
1> Hope that the 7tb hdd is partitioned!!
or
2> Stay good mates with your friend!!
Thats all i can suggest
Good luck...think you will need it!!
PLZ ANYONE HELP!but why does this software conflict happens!
Well I ran the troubleshooter(windows device compability) and it showed a problem of compatibility!
This usb is so sensitive if i even move the mobile 1 mm it will disconnect or just popup "MOUNT PHONE" AND "UNMOUNT PHONE" This is very much annoying!
well this ain't hardware problem but then why loose connection????
It is surely software problem but is it possible that software can make USB ports superduper sensetive???????
LOL! I can reinstall phone but I tried but not working!
I can also reinstall WIN 7 but lol I can't its a huge weight lol! LOL I have 7TB HDD and lol I have many thing in it!so i can't jsut reinstall!
So can anyone give me sony xperia x10i usb driver????THIS IS BLOODY SOFTWARE BUG!!!!
Though 1 weird thing I forgot to mention! The Weird thing is that FLASH TOOL,sony ericssion update, root kit tool and etc rooting software works and don't show any loose connection!
So I checked my SD CARD but SD card is fine! So....wat is it? Is it USB PORT SPEED stuff or software conflict??
but this problem is mainly seen in win7 so i guess win7 hates android! But why would people suddenly face this problem!
Yes before 1 month everything worked fine!but for this month my days r ****ed up!
I think the KERNEL OF ANDROID or WIN7's usb drive for android phones have some bugs!
well problem needs to be dected then lol we can find cure!
(I copy files from PC to my mobile very luckyly lol! sometims try to reconnect it 30 times repeatedly works though if I move the phone a bit it just get disconnected!
OK! so how about we get c\windows\system32\winusb.sys from win xp and put it iin win 7! lol I don't know wat could happen lol! but its a try but its lol risky!
this is usb setting for xp lol! but I don't kno if win7 and xp has same versio of USB dlls!
It's definitely not Windows 7 that's giving it issues. Sorry to say but it's the computer. I'm not sure why it happens but it happens to my work computer running Vista but not my windows 7 home laptop. Don't know if there is a fix though. But as long as flash tool works who cares right? Mounting works fine when you mount it right? It's just the beginning issue when it disconnects, but once connected you should be good.
Hey do u have PC companion installed? And check to see you have USB debugging enabled. My phone did the same thing. I fixed it by enabling USB debug

Try a live cd of ubuntu.. see if connects on that..
try a different cable on that machine.
dont try both suggestions together.. lol try the live cd, and if that works, reboot in w7 and try a different cable. I've had issues where it connects on the data side but doesn't charge out of my laptop..

Massive problem, HD2 gurus please help me here:
HTC HD2 & WMDC & Win7 x64 = Not working.
I've downloaded WMDC x64 bit from Microsoft's official site, installed the app, plugged my phone in the USB port..... and nothing happens. Win7 x64 does not pick up the phone via any of my USB port (I've tried like 4 different USB ports already).
Here is the weird part, Windows doesn't even pick up the HD2 as an USB device. I doubled checked via Task manager, and nothing has been detected. I have scanned for new hardware via the device manager countless of times.
Nothing shows up, not in device manager, nor control panel. Having WMDC installed doesn't help either, the app simply doesn't recognise HD2 via USB cable. Even with WMDC uninstalled, Windows just can't detect my HD2, but when I plug my Nokia N97 in the same USB port, Win7 picks it up as a mass storage device straight away.
Basically the phone will only charge the battery from the USB port, and nothing else. Win7 x64 doesn't even flinch when I plug the phone in, nothing pops up, WMDC says no device is found. I've tried just about everything, googled a bit and it seems like I'm not the only one that's suffering from this problem.
Here is a list of all the possible solutions that I've tried :
Ran WMDC as system administrator

Had the same issue last night when I first tried to sync my HD2. Same issues, ended up being I needed to update the Bios on my motherboard. Ironically it worked after I plugged it in and failed the driver install. Then went to Device Manager and ran update driver for the picked up devices. Works like a champ now. Hope this helps in some way.

Somehow I doubt that I will need to update my motherboard's BIOS, as my PC picks up the Nokia N97 perfectly fine. Having said that, I'm busy dling my mobo's latest BIOS right now.
Will let you know how it works out.
Edit : Nope, just as I thought. Didn't rectify the problem, thanks for your advise though.
Okay, the BIOS update scared me for a second there. I didn't revert back to the default setting after the BIOS update, which made all the USB ports malfunction on my PC. I couldn't use the keyboard nor the mouse, but I solved that problem by clearing the CMOS with a jumper.
Anyway, that's not the problem... The PC still wouldn't reconise the HD2. What I have noticed is as soon as I plug my HD2 in the USB port, HD2 automatically runs the activesync.exe
Having said that, the PC still can't identify the HD2 as an USB device. Absolutely zero response from Windows 7 x64. I've been trying to rectify this problem for over 6 hours already. I have googled dozens of pages, tried just about every single solution (bar the formatting option, which I will leave it as the absolutel final resort).
Please, can someone help me.
Gentlemen, have any of you tried a usb hub?
For the heck of it, have you tried it on a different PC? Have you tried a different cable? I am not sure what cable the N97 uses. I apologize I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, just wanted to find out if it's the handset's micro USB connection problem.

Yes, I have tried it on two different laptops, both have Win7 x86 installed.
I didn't install WMDC, instead I just plugged the HD2 in the USB port, hoping that Windows will automatically download WMDC and install everything on it's own. But alas, no luck with that either. Laptop could not detect the phone via USB cable, nor Bluetooth.
EDIT : OMG, I think I found the solution. Thanks, N1M1TZ. You actually did help me by suggesting the switch of USB cables. Since the Nokia N97 works flawlessly on my PC via USB, and the fact that both the HD2 and N97 uses the microUSB format, I was able to get the HD2 hooked up to the laptop. So it seems like T-Mobile's HD2 USB cable is the culprit. Well, it's in the bin now, I'm gonna use N97's USB cable for both of my phones in the future.
I'm glad you got it working. I had the same issue with my usb cable. Went out and purchased a replacement cable and found this ReTrak USB to micro USB cable. I have used their cables for most of my stuff from patch cord to adapters instead of my cables getting tangled or tied up together. Here's their website for more info http://www.emergeretail.com/Default.aspx
this is my problem,
when i connect my hd2 it charges but the computer doesn't recognize it. on the phone settings it is set to active sync. i also have 2 computers; xp and vista, both do the same thing.
i could careless about active sync, i just want to plug my phone into my pc and transfer files in and out. ive also tried the disk drive option but still no go?
if i enter bootloader and plug it in it recognizes the usb setting but when the phone is normal, it doesn't??
it did this with the stock rom and its also doing this with nrg titanium rom.
any help would be appreciated
Same thing here.
It charges through USB but it doesnt connect.
If i choose the storage option it works fine.
I want to sync my outlook and i cant...
What the heck...?
i know this may seem a bit "it helpdesk-ish" but try re-booting your PC

still nothing

believe it or not i have done that mannyy times and did alot of device manager things to try and let both computers recognize the hd2 but still nothing haha..
ive had previous hd2's and they've all connected fine untill this one, maybe its this specific one thats giving me trouble. but regardless, it charges via usb then it should be able to recognize it
Check the active sync settings to ensure that usb connections are enabled. You can tell be looking at the system tray icon - there's a read circle with a white X in it if USB is disabled.
Saying that though, if it doesn't even recognise it when the device is in USB mode, I'd try a different cable. It's perfectly reasonable that the cable could power the device but not fully facilitate a USB connection.

That is very weird. Sorry mate - never heard of it doing that for anyone before.
Make sure you have the mobility center/active sync program installed on your computer. Without it it won't work.
On Vista or Seven, with the HD2 plugged in, you can find the program/drivers by launching and refreshing manually Windows Update. On XP you have to do that manually.
Good luck.
This happens to me often. In my case I have found it to be a weird driver issue. Go to device manager and look for the yellow triangle. Right click and update driver software. This worked for me I hope it helps.
bit late but just flashed maxsence and i love the look, but have allready had to restart by phone 10 times in 10 minutes. I'll wait for the next release. back to GTX for now.
Good work NRG. keep it up.
this is one of the many WM6.5 errors!
need Android soon!
Ok here we go.
The phone did not connect through activesync to my pc. When i selected to connect as mass storage it connected.
I checked for driver issues in device manager but nothing came up.
I checked the hd2's activesync. Bingo! the activesync was crashing when i was running it. I had to hard reset the phone.
Now it works fine.
My guess is that maybe a program that i installed recently was buggy and created this particular problem. Unfortunately i have about 50+ programs installed (including themes etc) and i m not sure which one it was.
I was installing all the programs again today one by one and after the install process was completed i connected the hd2 to usb to find which app was the problematic one.
After installing almost(some were found useless) all of the apps (here is the crazy part) the hd2 still was connecting through activesync....
HTC will drive me nuts...
Anyway the phone now connects correctly.
I cant understand which was the problem....
as odd as it may sound i think i figured it out.
i think its the usb cable that im using, i have to wiggle it around for it to connect to active sync but once it connects its not a stable connection as it cuts in and out.
but charging capabilities work though!
pos wire, i ordered a new wire and if that one fails also, i will have to get my hd2 replaced for faulty usb port
thanks for all the replies much appreciated

HD2 is working fine with my desktop, but wit laptop I can only use ActiveSync to browse files.
When I connect the USB cable I get:
"Found new hardware wizard"
but it tells me that it Cannot Install This Harware - Disk Drive
"An error occurred during the installation of the devie The system cannot find the file specified"
And I only have "Finish" to click - if I click it the wizard lunces again immediately and goes on and on with no end.
HD"/Leo does not appare in Disk Manager (I know ablut the drive lettering issue)
I'm sure its my XP issue, but I havent found drivers to fix that, and I'm not about to reinstall XP on my lappy in near future.

I share the same here and I was despaired of trying to solve it with any logical, as well with illogical, measures. Such as: rebooting, changing usb cables, reinstalling activesync 4.5, etc.....etc...blla..blla...blla...
However, I solved the "Transfer files issue" by taking out the sd card from the HD2 and connect it with an external cards reader to my pc.
The card reader connected and works with the same usb cable that does not work with the HD2.
That way I load it with all files and in the same occasion I reload into my computer the daily spb backup files.
However, I have the feeling that the reason for that problem is a missing file/driver named: "Setup1.SPL" in the pc windows operating system.
In order to solve that it seems that only reinstalling windows on my pc will be the solution which defiantly do not like.
Weird problem - when I plug my phone into my PC via the USB cable, it charges (i can see the red light and the plug in icon) but the PC via WMDC doesnt see it. Nor can I see it when I view Computer. I have since did a factory HD2 reset and also uninstalled WMDC (twice) and reinstalled. Anyone know what the prob here is or how to fix? Thanks.
Have you flashed any ROMs recently? I had this problem when I flashed a new ROM. My front USB ports were very slow, I don't even think they're 2.0 half the time as Windows tells me to plug stuff in faster ports but, to solve your problem I think you need to change how your phone acts when connected via USB to PC.
Go to Settings, Other and USB to PC and make sure its set to ActiveSync.

That's not a solution it's a workaround and a crap one at that because all it is doing is disabling the usb rndis driver in favour of the much older and slower usb serial driver

I had this problem with my leo all last week. Then i went to my brothers place for thursday through saturday and had the same problem on his pc which runs windows xp pro sp3 (mine is windows 7 pro).
Turns out it was the phone itself. There seemed to be a problem with the tcpip stack, the rndis driver or the tcpip cache. Not sure which but a hard reset solved it and now everything is fine. Although thinking about it i only got the problem after enabling the tcpip cache tweak in bsbtweaks 1.6....... curious!
Don't plug your phone to the front usb, instead plug it to the usb ports on the back of your computer which directly goes to the m/b.
Flashing new ROMS has nothing to do with this phenomenon.
Bad USB cable or bad usb port could sometimes cause this, too.
I have not flashed the ROM at all w this phone. I did do 2 hard Leo resets but still have the problem. Running Win 7 Pro, checked the USB settings on the phone and its all good. USB plugged into the back of the PC and have tried multiple ports. Dang. Any ideas?
I had the same problem, I tried to connect it to several other PCs with no success, at the end hard reset solved it...
if a hard rest doesn;t fix it then task 29 the phone and reinstall the rom

Sorry mate but your wrong. The PC is fine. It is actually the phone that is at fault.
My experiences last week prove this and with no modification to my PC but only a hard rest on the phone everything is now working fine. The same with my brothers machine. No modifications made to it just my phone and that works fine now too.
Both PC's are completely different including the operating system yet both displayed the same problem last week and both now work fine with only the phone being worked on. Combine this with the other comments here that confirm this and you still think the pc is at fault? i'd like to see some proof or some form of methodology.
Although i personally had never seen this problem before over the many winmo devices i've had i'm pretty confident that my IT systems diagnostics training is serving me well here but if you can prove otherwise i'll gladly admit i'm wrong.
sorry for the newbie question but how do you hard reset? i know how to soft reset via "clear storage". i don't have access to the manual right now. out of office.

using clear storage is performinf the software version of a hard reset. it's not a soft reset.
the prefered way of performing a hard reset is to hold down both volume keys (make sure you do it firmly so both make contact) and then quickly tap the power button (do no hold it down at all) then hold the volume buttons until you see a warning. the rest will be obvious (printed on the phone screen)

Sorry mate, *perhaps* your IT systems diagnostics training is serving you most complicated solutions, whereas *maybe* there's more simple solutions : (1)check if there's a firewall program running that block the phone's RNDIS driver to be "seen" by the PC, or (2)a case of bad USB cable, and then (3)your *methodology-proven* trouble-shooting method.
I can say that because it happened to me, where after I take care of the firewall program, the phone gets detected immediately.
Cheers, mate.

First, most modern firewall programs actually have application detection and notifiction systems. Now in cases where the rndis connection has been working and no modifications have been made software wise this is instantly ruled out. In your case i would look at replacing your firewall with something a little better
Next, (and we will use my personal case for this as i'm sure it will be global for this thread) i have one usb cable for my leo - one - and considering, as i said above, after i hard reset and using the very same cable as before i have proven it to work. so moving on.
my method of testing is a pretty standard method. The training is only of any use for tracking the fault diagnosis. Being able to this do allows for an accurate analysis of what is going on at each stage of the connection process.
Seeing as the op has hard reset the device we will see if it is really the PC or not. i'm positive it is the phone that is not working correctly in this case but we will soon see.
Interestingly I have two notebooks, one for work one for home both run WIN7 Pro (Work one is a SOA standard operating architecture). My work notebook did see my HD2 for a while then stopped, my home notebook still syncs without an issue using the same cable. I can only assume by proccess of elimination that it is not the HD2 and that the problem lies with something on my Work notebook.
SOLVED: It was the stupid cable. I did a factory hard reset and plugged in. No dice. Do I grabbed my spare cable and presto. Fired up immediately. Thanks everyone.
This is a new problem for me.
After successfully sorting out all the troubles of connecting SGS to KIES, and been using it happily for almost a month, now I'm facing another trouble which is quite big this time.
Windows Vista (32-bit) and Windows 7 (64-bit) are now can't recognize the phone when connected through the USB. Got a message says the USB Device/Hardware Is Not Recognized.
I'm using the SGS original cable. The cable was working perfectly and now suddenly it doesn't work in data mode but still able to recharge the phone battery.
Am I having a cable problem? Or worst, the USB connector (on the phone) problem? I tried to clean the USB connector on the phone but still can't connect the phone to my computers.
Does anybody here having the same problem as well?
I just gave up with my PC, same problem
In then end I set up a VMware XP machine to sync
Else I use my laptop

I sometimes have a problem with KIES detecting my phone. What I sometimes have to do is connect the phone with KIES loaded, go to device manager, show hidden devices then uninstall the phone (sometimes has error on device, sometimes not) then disconnect then reconnect phone.
Such a faff but using KIES to check for firmware update lol
This may not help ya but worth a thought, Im on Win7 64
I did not have any problem connecting the phone to KIES, I was able to upgrade the firmware from JF4 to JG4, and been a happy SGS owner for a month now.
But yesterday I suddenly can't connect the phone to any computers. My laptop (Win Vista 32-bit) said that a USB device connected is not recognized. I reinstall Kies in my laptop and same thing happen. Then I switch to my PC (Win7 64-bit), USB device not recognized also appear. Reinstall Kies, still no luck.
What I just realized is that there is NO USB Indicator in the SGS notification bar!
Does that mean that the USB connector on the phone going bad?
I still able to recharge the battery but the USB icon dont show up.
I am now seriously considering the quality of Samsung Galaxy S! Way too much problems for average owner, and even for savvy owners this is just over the top!
What should I do now?
Find another computer or install VMWear and see once and for all if its your phone at fault. Also worst case do a factory reset. If no go then you might have a hardware problem. You could always try Mass Storage mode and see if you can mount the phone as external drive. Its not really the phones fault but I would say its KIES, its just a piece of ****. I have never been able to connect to it using 3 computers and I would say I know what i'm doing since I work in i.t. Also did you replace your Launcher recently? As KIES needs TouchWhiz as default launcher to work
I just tried to connect SGS to another laptop (Win XP 32-bit SP3, no KIES though). Same thing, the USB device is not recognized baloon show up and no USB indicator in the SGS status bar.
I'm going to Samsung Service Center, after calling them, they suggest me to bring the phone to the nearest Samsung Center. They said that this is not the first time and also said that the problem might be the connector or the cable.
have you read this ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8107646&postcount=50
Seems kies has a bug where it can't work with files with 16chrs or more.. Told ya KIES is a piece of ****
Yes, But did you try the Mass storage mode
Settings/About/USB
I always just use Mass Storage mode to xfer files. KIES is crap.
As I said previously, my SGS has no problem at all connecting to Kies. USB Mass storage is working perfectly as well.
The problem I'm having now is the hardware (the cable or the interface) I guess, since I still can recharge the phone using the charger or the USB cable.
ps. I'm using Kies from Australia, the 1.5.1.10083.
Have you looked at the pins on the phone? are they screwed? Can you somehow find or burrow another Mini-Usb cable to test ? I have heaps as some of my external hdd's use mini-usb but you might have to buy a new cable.
Try this.. I wrote this a while back.. It may help. I know you suspect it's hardware, but it might be worth trying anyway.

Thanks for the help guys!
It's purely hardware problem. Yesterday I brought it to local Samsung Service Center, and because they said this is not the first timer, the technician quickly open the device and gosh... dust and some fungus were collected near the microUSB port! I admit I never close the USB port, just left it open after use, my bad!
After some cleaning and testing, the microUSB is working again.
Now I'm a happy SGS user again!
but that doesn't explain how it works on one Windows (Win7) but not on another Windows (WinXP)

The SGS wasn't recognized in ALL Windows versions, since it was a hardware problem.
Now SGS is recognized in ALL Windows versions.
download "usbdeview" and delete the usb drivers for the specific device.
Hi guys!
My device doesn't connect to my PC anymore, can only charge. The PC gives me a USB error and that's that. No more flashing! aaaargh....
As it still charges I suspect a software error, indeed hope for it. Any ideas?
Cheers

I have the same issue m8. Have done for several weeks now. No idea whats wrong. I was hoping to flash magdlr via sdcard and hope that would sort it out, but can't. I am also having other issues now too, e.g: excessive battery drain within winmo. When you turn screen off in winmo, it comes straight back on. Poor reception now (with any radio) was working fine before.
Android is now suffering too, poor battery drain(more than normal) poor signal.
Seg
Too bad. None of the other issues with me, though. Tried reflashing from sd, successfully, but no effect on USB, same for bootloader.
you need to give us more info on problem, what error do you get?, does xp try to install usb drivers when you plug in your phone?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your USB drivers / use another PC, cable etc?
Hi
Tried 2 PCs, a Win7 and Ubuntu. Ubuntu just doesn't see anything at all, W7 says a broken device is connected and refuses to proceed. Will do one more experiment and report back later. Thx for your interest
doesn't sound good to be honest. You could try flashing your ROM using your SD card though in the hope it is a ROM problem.
Sounds like a hardware problem to me. Have you tried a different usb cord? If that isn't the problem I'd make sure there aren't any damages prints in the phone's usb port.
Those are the most likely, it's rare that an internal hardware problem would only break part of the usb port

Hello at last some one I can help.......Maybe
I had the same problem, Mine also kept on trying to put me in car kit mode and turning loude speaker on. I think the problem started when I sat on my phone while it was charging. It some how shorted the USB in side the phone and I had to get it repaired under warranty. But.... if you havent got the same car kit problem try really blowing inside the USB normally one of those air cans ive heard has done the trick.
Cheers

Hi guys
As stated earlier I reflashed off sd, still charge only. Will try one more thing with the W7 PC. Oh, well, no NAND for me...
If you've updated your antivirus or flashed a new ROM, you may need to uninstall your antivirus, connect via usb, and see if your phone is detected by your PC and WMDC. Then, reinstall your antivirus.
Yes the antivirus thing kind of worked.. and btw go for ur stock rom...

have you considered the usb cable. it could be malfunctioning ! try another usb cable. blackberry's usb cable should work just fine.
Hi
Yeah, will have to try cable first, then stock ROM, possibly.
So it was the cable! Whew!
