Use Android as a wireless gaming receiver for wireless 360 controller? - Android Software Development

Hi, I was wondering if there is, has been, or an app in development for android to use the phone as a wireless gaming receiver? Like use the phone as a receiver to connect it with a wireless Xbox 360 controller to play games on the PC. Thanks!

I'm not sure if this is what you are asking for, but I use this program: http://www.frankiesoft.com.ar/

Thanks for the find! I might use that app because I just want to use a substitute for my joystick to play Flight Simulator X because I can't find it. What I'm looking for is an app that can function as this: http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-U...es/XboxWirelessGamingReceiverforWindows.aspx/

So basically what you want to do is to connect your xbox 360 controller to your pc through your android powered phone? if so, i'm sorry to tell you that this is not possible, yet.

Can you just get a wired controller and plug it in? I know that costs more money, but it would work...

[Q] Gensoid Netplay over internet? Is it possible?

Can I play 2 player Gensoid/Snesoid games over Epic's 3G internet connection?If so how?
I know that there is Netplay options to play over wifi and bluetooth,is it possible to play over 3g internet connection by entering my ip in wifi netplay settings?
I know alot about android and computers but I know almost next to nothing about internet settings. If anyone could help me with the setup if its possible I would be greatfull.
Oh one more question:I know that wifi controller can be used for android emulators,is there any mods to use PS3 controller for android?Im asking because they both use bluetooth for connection.
I doubt that internet play is possible because one of the best emulators I know of (vba) for the pc couldn't pull it off
I would be pretty interested in the ps3 controller thing though

Controller reccomendations

Wired 360 controller or dreamgear ps3 wireless?
Thanks

I'd go with the ps3 controller. I tried my brother's xbox controller and couldn't get it to work correctly. My ps3 controller worked right away with usb, also works great with bluetooth, using sixaxis from the market, great for emulators.

Cool thanks ya I have sixaxis and was testing with brother in laws sony ps3 controller and worked good once paired but I need my own so I don't have to keep pairing it ya know.. does the brand of ps3 controller matter or will the wireless protocol still work with the tablet. What do you have to do to pair it up via bt with no USB...
Thanks

Seems the dreamgear controller is wireless 2.4 via USB dongle ....

Honestly, I would go with a Sony branded PS3 controller with the sixaxis app from the market.
The app costs a few bucks, but works flawlessly, very easy to setup as well.
Can't go wrong with that gear.
I was able to use a Wired XBox 360 controller (that I bought for using in Windows 7) on my A500 running stock either 3.0 or 3.2.1. I can't remember if it was before or after I updated it. It worked great for an NES emulator!

Not sure why you can't use a 360 controller when games that use controllers have the exact colored button indicators as it.
I use a wired, and it works by default. If you use onlive gaming, you will want to use the 360 controller since games are made for it already, or the onlive wireless one. Wireless Xbox 360 controllers work as well, but I use the wired so I don't need to worry about battery life.
Bluetooth controllers typically will have synch issues so stay away from those.

Onlive on Nook Color With PS3 Controller

I have been following various threads on the Onlivefans.com forum about using an Android device to play Onlive games and mapping hardware buttons to software controls. None are perfect and do not play the games I would like. Now the Sony Tablet S is compatible with Onlive using a real PS3 controller. The Sony Tablet S is a Playstation Certified tablet. What would I have to modify on my Nook Color to make it think it is a Tablet S? I already have Sixaxis Controller app to allow bluetooth connectivity to my PS3 controller and it works great for all my emulators. I am really hoping this will let me avoid a $50 purchase of Onlive's official Universal Controller.
Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks in advance.
could you clarify what you mean when you say bluetooth works fine? I was under the impression that book's bt radio was too weak to even keyboard properly?
there are apps on market that allow you to spoof other devices but if it is a hardware or driver limitation you might be able to usb joystick it
The bluetooth has worked great with my PS3 controller. I have used it up to 3 feet away with no issue. I have not tried to use two controllers at once but it seems technically possible.
I guess my real question is, does anyone have a build.prop from a Sony Tablet S and I will try asking in one of those forums.
The PS3 controller works a little bit while using OnLive but they do not allow you to map keys. They want you to use their controller only.

The sixaxis app says it lets you connect four controller but the nook apparently only recognizes one at a time.

mk809 360 controller issues

Has anyone else had issues syncing a wireless xbox 360 controller to their android stick? I only recently picked up a wireless/usb adapter for the controller, but cannot for the life of me sync the controller to work on the mk809 (non BT, so please dont suggest a ps3 controller).
I can get the controller to sync fine with my PC and my Galaxy Nexus, so I do know that the usb adapter works.
I have watched a few videos and did a quick search but didnt come up with anything about sync issues. I have watched youtube videos of mk's using 360 controllers, so that shouldnt be a problem.
Ideas?
I use my PS3 controller with a cable and of works great. I also have a 360 controller with wireless USB. Although I have an MK808 but they are pretty much the same I think.
Although I have to use a button mapping app IME. I use JoyCenter or something. It lets me map all the buttons and works OK. I played with emulators and seems pretty responsive.
You might need a custom rom with the drivers preinstalled, or root and do it yourself.
Could be the problem.

I believe that you will need to use a wired controller to get it to connect.
